  1. In response to post #39471205. #39473665, #39474105, #39474445 are all replies on the same post. Check Bethesda.net for theft supporters. They host threads and can be found all over "test" files. As an author myself, I find Beth.net toxic and have moved to modding Witcher 3 until the site begins supporting the authors. Our content is ours to do with as we will. Until that is recognized only my good friends will have access to my work.
  2. Congrats and great story. Good to hear from you, Dark0ne. Long live Nexusmods!
  3. In response to post #27530099. #27530184, #27530349, #27530409, #27530869, #27531289, #27531564 are all replies on the same post. Steam is ok guys. It's just in a different world. I wouldn't really call it a community, per se. I suppose it is technically, though more corporate. Like an apartment verses a neighborhood. Here on Nexus we are free to run wild and build our community as we grow. Having been here for a while, I remember when the roads were a little bumpy. Granted Robin and his crew do all the real work. To their credit it has always been totally transparent, leaving me with a feeling of "pride" as the site leveled up. Steam just feels cold and sterile to me. A shell that all these people are herded through as their release into the modding wild begins. I try to point the way here. Many are too "green" to venture all the way here. When I got here the forums were like the great tomes of hidden knowledge. I love Nexus. p.s. I signed up for Steam bucks. Fallout 4 DLC, brothers (and a few sisters)
  4. So...Fallout comes out the last day of the year. This time next year I'll be modding that FINALLY. I've been waiting for this.
  5. I am having the same issue with an amd 3.5 hz 8 core processor, Gtx 970 4 gb, and 10 gb of ram. The issue comes with high textures in my game usually, though sometimes I enter a dungeon with some white textures on medium. I can run the game with 80+ fps in medium textures with enb. I doubt it has anything to do with my hardware and all drivers are up to date. Frustrating.
  6. And I said they would never walk away from the money. I'm so happy to be wrong.
  7. I honestly don't know what all the hub bub is about any ways. I have a perfectly good free community right here. I have donated to authors and supported the Nexus financially. I also don't see an inherent problem with paid for mods. Is not any one free to do whatever they wish with their property? Is it not wrong to tell others what or how when concerning their own property? I'm right there with you, Robin. I like free modding with the option to donate. I do have to say, the authors I have donated to made it quite clear they don't get donations very much. The button seems more of a decoration that you have to fill out forms to place on your page. But....it's a hobby. Steam and Bethesda have opened a new door for modders to walk through. I mean seriously, I would pay for a mod like Falskaar. DLC made by a fan that is actually really good and has a lot of content. Perhaps more authors will go big and produce some really impressive mods like that for money. When Bethesda stopped working on DLC for Skyrim, everyone complained that there wasn't enough content. I think if a couple epic DLC mods came out on Steam there would be a shift in opinion. If only unspoken through purchase of said epic mods. The only thing that is lame is the number of stupid mods that will have price tags on them. "Here's a sword for a dollar. Use console commands to get it." Little things that will never be used by another author in a mod bringing added content in the way that brings authors together and solidifies the bonds of cooperation and shared creation that is really what I think the community is all about.
  8. It has been a wild ride since I joined the Nexus. Everything from smooth sailing to "Nexus site down" pages. The NMM quirks and all manner of glitches. It does run smooth and fast for me now. Great job guys. You have built one hell of a community here. I am eager to see what comes next!
  9. I made it. It's called Ditch the Lute on Nexus.
  10. Back to workin with people. The whole point to a community, right? A nod to the minority who get don't just treat it like a free D.L.C. site.
  11. I have found this works, too. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? My game will studder, then recover and I can walk right up and in.
  12. I was plagued for a long time with this same problem. This fixed it for me. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/?
  13. Super cool news about the preemptive ESO support. And a search box? That is pretty cool. That gives this news a rating of......very cool.
  14. I made a Warlock guitar weapon mod. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=235568435 It is crazy high poly and super detailed.
  15. Been working on a lot of stuff for other people. I think I will start finishing my own stuff for a while.
  16. The work looks great so far. I would like to see some glow maps, though. Maybe the laser dots on the mask and a couple dots on the computer. That would really complete the look for me.
  17. I will love this mod almost any way you do it. A version that is a simple super mutant replacer would also be cool. I even have some sounds you can use to replace their chatter and war cries.
  18. Not totally true. If the author took existing meshes and morphed them, the textures will work. That is why Book of Silence textures work on skimpy armor overhauls. If both authors used vanilla meshes, and didn't rewrap the uvw, then you can swap textures. Try it out. Open them both in Gimp to see if they look similar if you are weary of tinkering. Just remember that any changes you make can be undid instantly if you use NMM by simply uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it again. [edit] I checked it out and one of the authors made his own feet meshes and textures. Sorry mate.
  19. Great idea. If I made it though, it would be pieces that could be worn in any combination. All Morrowind style with the option to have skin showing if you wanted. A top hat would be cool, though as an option.
  20. A test file is up on my Dova Fett page. Under misc files. Craft under hide, for now.
  21. chicky540 doesn't get it. Has a great idea for a mod, though.
  22. The price is worth it to me. Sure the mods to download are great, but the wealth of knowledge is invaluable. I've learned so much from so many of you. I have to feel grateful for throwin this party, Robin. Keep it rollin. :)
  23. I'm back! After practically turning my laptop into a charcoal briquette, I've built my own desktop. Game on.
