  2. I'm getting very close to release with my great masterpiece called "Adventures, Bastards and Briggans" I've been working on it for months, and is sure to please the most seasoned modder's! Without giving to much away , it's a armor and weapons mod but introduces a new way of obtaining the items. Through, quests, potroling armies, wandering adventurers for hire, wandering enemies, and much more! Each with custom weapons and armor. Some leveled and some are not. Also adds many new items and player home, and a new unique tavern with a working arena called "Malice Hall". This is where the player can begin the main quest or check the notice borde for contracts and wanted posters. Malice Hall is without a doubt, the roughest tavern in Skyrim! It's got all kinds of scum and adventurers and mercenaries pass through all the time so if you need to hire some extra muscle, here's where yull find em! Please only trusted mod tetesters, and preferably with a few references. Only because I put a lot of hard work and o so precious time into it.   5. I'm no scripting expert but this does look like it will work, although I'd hate to use a script when I know it can be done through conditions. I'm getting a little to frustrated so I'm going to try this. Thank you very much
  6. Actually this GetRandomPersent formula is only calling for a 50% chance of it firing at all, not firing at random times like i need. But im definitely on the right track. Any body else?

  8. I made a set of Dawnguard plate armor that matches the helm. Both male and female and not skimy, totally coverd. Unfortunately the mod is not finished yet because it has many new weapons and armor, items, clothes and quests. I should be done with it in a few more weeks, been working on it for months now. Keep an eye out for a mod called... "ADVENTURES, BASTARDS AND BRIGGANS" itl be out soon.
  9. I need my sound file "AMB" to fire at totally random times and only if player is in proximity and fade out. I'm pretty sure I can figure the proximity and fading on my own but I'm having trouble finding the right "Condition" to make it sound random. I've tried this formula... (GetCurrentTime)------(NONE)-----(<=)-----(1.00)------(or)(GetCurrentTime)------(NONE)-----(>=)-----(1.60)------(or)(GetCurrentTime)------(NONE)-----(<=)-----(2.00)------(or) And soforth all the way to 24 hours. I was thinking this would make the sound fire every half hour but i never could get it to work and it's not what i want anyway. Anybody know about sound conditions that could help me?

Thanks for the help guys but no matter what I try i can't make it work and im getting way to frustrated with it and it's causing me to have a bad attitude so im afrade i must admitt defeat on this one. Obviously quest making if far over my head. But I'm not throwing in the towel just yet, i think im just going to take a break and look for other ways to make the quest. In fact if i have to i will develop my own questing system. So i will try again in a couple days, thanks again.
  11. Well basically My first quest I need to start upon reading a book. Sounds simple enough. But the one I'm working on now is just a wanted poster to start the quest upon reading it or perhaps even entering the players inventory. To go and kill an npc and that's it. Of course i would very much like to make it a bit more immersive, like killing him, retrieving his sword and taking it back to claim the reward or choose to just keep the sword. I'm afraid this might just be a little to complcated for me though... Thanks a lot Frank for being patient with me , I've got a couple ideas i'm going to try real quick. I'll be back to let you know if im successful. Oh and by the way yes the quest is made and everything looks right except i still don't know how aliases work.
  12. It's quite impossible to do this without a tutorial, I've been looking for two days for a tutorial on a simple f*#@ing book quest and there is none! No wonder theres not a lot of quest mods out there. I'm giving up and just making the quest a clue followed quest or something, it just won't have any quest arrows pointing where to go or any immersive text. Woopty do! Who needs that stuff anyway. I've even tried duplicating an existing book quest and but obviously that wont work either unless i change a ll the scripts. I've ttried adding the script to the book as you suggested again since I've tried this once before already but it didn't work. I definitely appreciate all of your help and will keep checking back to see if anyone can help or maybe have more advice. Aslo if anyone want to perhaps make theses quest for me i will gladly pay you, it's just that I've worked so hard on this mod I'd hate to abandoned this mode just because of a simple f*#@ing book quest that should only take two hours to complete.

  14. Ok so here's what I'm trying to do... I have made a huge mod i've been working on for months, it's a questing mod that has many new custom weapons and armor and new items. Unfortunately, I was to secure in my knowledge of the creation kit and made the mistake of saving the quest making for last and now I'm totally stuck! I've successfully created a quest mode before so I have some knowledge of quest making but very limited. That being said I've searched and searched for the proper tutorial but there simply are none! I need help creating a very BASIC quest that only starts after reading a book, there's not even any dialogue needed which is why I can't believe noone has done this tutorial on this???????????? Seriously? That makes absolutely no sence. All the tutorials out there strictly deal with dialogue! That's like trying to teach a high school student about quantum physics dude! Lol, So that's why I'm here and I really hope someone can help me, I've worked very long and hard on this mod and i just know everyone will love it! Basically I need to create two types of quests but both are relatively similar. First I need a quest to start after reading a book, and also I need a quest to start after reading a wanted poster. I imagin both are done the same way but I really do need help. P.S. Please help as the mod is almost fully complete and ready for release except for these quest. Thank you Nexus community
  15. When this was happening to me it was do to one of the mods that effected the "Yield" from enemies. Another cause of this is if you use console to make enemies followers, that group of leveled lists becomes non hostile until you start a new game. Hope this helps .
  16. It's in "Formlists" in the object window. You know how only a few main voices can be used for followers? Well adding other voices to the "Formlists" will allow you to have a follower with whatever voice you want. If the dialogue isn't there they will just say nothing but it still works. I remember when i made a custom voiced follower it didn't work until i added it to formlists. In fact if memory serves i think i had to a it to two Formlists..."VoicesFollowersAll" and "VoicesFollowersNutral". Hope this works for ya goodluck.
  17. No no silly wabbits, that's not how. Well I'm no Obi Wan but all you have to do is load it up in nifskope and under BSDismemberSkinInstance and change "Head" to and change it to "Circlet" and then you must click on "Circlet" in Creation Kit to and thats it bro.
  18. I know what ur problem is but im not in front of my computer so i will try to help from memory. In CK navigate to "edit" and open the marker window and tick them all on. Now u should see huge blue box type markers. Delete them and boom ur done save and thank me. Some times thes markers are needed but they are such a pain in the ass i will never in a billion years use them! Instead save yourself a headache and make another cell with a load door. When i get home i shall explain better. Actually after further examination this may not be your problem but try it anyway. Edit: I came back to correct myself because i told you wrong info because i was not in front of my pc. I told you to navto "edit" but it's not in edit it's in "view" then go down to "Show\Hide window" and click it. Then click on "Portals and Rooms". Now if you see any markers you can delete or move them and see if this fixes your problem. It looks to me like an invisible portal morker.

  20. solved this by unchecking the SLSF1_Greyscale_To_Palette_Color in all of the BSEffectShaders thanks to this tucked away little post I found here... http://forums.nexusm...me-wisps-color/ ...now I have my desired color lighting now affter two weeks of crap hopefully this will serv to save someone the headache.
