I've modified the grenade launchers mesh in Autodesk Maya 2009 so it no longer has the range finder on it. I got it edited and ready to go in nifskope, but when I try to make a new weapon in the GECK, and select the mesh to use, the GECK crashes. Any help? Below is what I got in Nifskope.

Maybe I did something wrong in the import/export process between nifskope and maya, but I don't know. Help is appreciated. Thank you.

Little bit of an update: my friend who I was giving 1 of my keys away to is having computer issues and decided to pass on the key, so I now have 1 key to give away.

Well I hopped into it last night. And I must say I'm impressed. First off the combat system is much better then the regular point->click->watch your character fight and sometimes push a button for a skill.
You actually have to click your mouse for combos (left click regular attack and right click heavy attack). The environment around you is almost entirely destructable, and when something breaks you can pick that up and use that as a weapon for a few attacks.
Using the source engine, the way hits are registered are much better then you'd see in an mmo. if your weapon literally does not come in contact with the enemy, you do not hit them. (this also applies for throwing spears and arrows)
The presentation of the game appears to be well polished, the animations are great, and the game is easy enough to get into and learn how to fight effectively.
Character creation is pretty nice, though at the moment you can tell its incomplete at the moment. What you do is pick your 'character' - the game classes are gender locked it seems. For example, there's a male fighter who dual wields, and a female fighter who uses sword and shield. both have specific names, but you can change the name when you hit character creation. You can also change their appearance entirely, and there's enough options for now, but you can tell there will be many more in the future. There will be more characters in the future for you to play, the character select screen says the mage girl class will be released soon.
One thing I'd keep in mind though is that this game is definitely meant to be played with a group of people. The world is not a vast open world like your regular MMO. Its a dungeon runner type of game. You go to the docks of the city you're in, start a party boat (literally), invite your friends, and then off you go to the dungeon you selected.
Also keep in mind that the games in beta phase, so there might be small glitches/bugs and some incomplete features at the moment.

Wow. These all look absolutely epic! How did you make them sit on the back like that?

Modern Soldier. Wearing US military gear (dragonskin, bandolier, backpack, etc) and using tactical weapons, My character is like a special forces type.
Current Weapon Loadout: Combat Knife. HK USP .45 (LAM), Custom Desert Eagle .50ae, AS50 Sniper rifle.
Other weapons I use: BOSSm249, m60 LMG, Terrible mossberg 590, Benelli m1014 JSS, HK36c Sopmod, HK mg36....the list goes on, I switch out often.
Armor: Tactical Assault Armor.
Skills: Small guns, Lockpick, Repair (Medicine is tag! skill)
Perks: Commando, Gunslinger, Finesse, Lightstep, Sniper, adamantium skeleton, tag!, grim reapers sprint.....

For those of you who don't know about vindictus, its a new MMO that uses the source engine (think half-life 2.)

I think you misunderstood me, though thank you for that tip on function. I do not have the power armor in the picture I posted, Id like to have it. So if anyone here knows where to find a download link, please post it here. Much appreciated.

Im looking for a really good power armor mod. Custom meshes would be nice. I already know of the coyote reflex armor, so giving me that link is somewhat redundant. I also know of (and downloaded) the halo armors uploaded by toxa. But nothing I found on my own has really been great enough to keep on for more then an hour of game play. Does anyone out there know of any other good power armor mods?
Also, I seen this pic here on the nexus, can someone please point me in the right direction to download it? Ive searched endlessly and haven't found these. Maybe I overlooked something.

I think it really came down to the question of "Do we really need to spend the time effort and money to get functioning ladders in this game?"

I think it had something to do with Removing the pipboy glove through a mod....That's my guess.

As the topic title says, I'm trying to switch a modded weapon (its a Springfield m1903) that uses default ammunition (.308) to use the CALIBR ammo 30-06 Springfield. I've tried similar things like this in the past but what usually happened was nothing, or it wouldn't accept any type of ammo.
Any help? Thank you in advance.

There is one out that is mostly only claws. Kind of looks like wolverine bone claws if you ever seen the xmen.

I am not planning on rebuilding all the models in BOE for RH compatibility, but if swapping the firing animation makes the default weapons play nicer, I'd be happy to incorporate those changes. If you would like to share the results of your work with me, I'll modify the mod.
Thank you for the reply. What I did so far was change the attack animation of the m14 hunting rifle and the benelli JSS shotgun (strap/no strap) and they are behaving as you'd expect them to do with RH_Ironsights. The Shotgun works perfectly, but the m14 is not properly lined up.
The main issue that requires little work is simply swapping the attack animation from attack left to attack right (this is whats causing the gun to get thrown out of sights after every shot). And then also make sure the weapon does not have "dont use first person IS animations" checked.
The issue with doing that is when using RH_Iron sights, as i said some guns don't properly line up, the severity of the issue varies on the weapon. Guns like the hk416 block the screen and make using Iron sights a hassle. Guns like the m14 hunting rifle are just minorly off but forgivable in my eyes(since I did not have the intention of releasing my tweak publicly). When I have the time I did plan on lining up the guns myself...or atleast trying...and then if it was something worth releasing I would have.
The mod is great and I've told you numerous times in the endorsements thread this. I just didn't want to burden you with more work like this.

Been trying that. Whats worse is that you need to bring up the menu (with the B key) to uninstall it...and I just cant do that.

I'm having issues with my Pipboy Readius. after starting a new game with it running from the start, some functions on it refuse to work.
Specifically, the pipboy light and pipboy config menu do not work. (both should be accessed by B. pressing B turns on light, holding B brings up a menu).
In my past save game this worked perfectly, sometime between then and now it broke and I really don't know why.
any help would be appreciated. I tried all I knew what to do.

Hmmm. Okay, maybe...Uninstall the game, and then remove your bethesda softworks/fallout 3 folder entirely. When you do the regular uninstall it will leave behind the 3rd party content...so deleting all of that and then re-installing might fix the issue.

All of these should work well together actually. you could install them all and not have any problems. As for the eyes? Most of these should include 'realistic' eyes. Try them out.

Again what you suggested worked perfectly. The weapon now behaves exactly as it should, and no longer snaps in and out of Iron sights. Thank you so much for your help. (They were on attackleft animation, I switched them to attackright)
One last thing. Some of the guns in Book of earache actually do not line up properly when Aiming down Iron sight mode. You've said you've done this kind of work before. Would you please tell me how to do it myself? I do have experience in 3d programs and nifskope (i used maya, but i think i'll likely need to use blender for this.)

I don't have the same issue as the OP but I think I asked for my glitch in a sense... I'm using fallout reanimated, book of earache contents, and RH ironsights - Sometimes when I use VATS my character suddenly aims directly upward and fires. Or, enemies firing at me will suddenly bend themselves completely backward and fire straight up, while the bullets sometimes still hit me... If a fix for any of these incompatibilities was easy to make I think it would've been thought of... :(
Please don't use my thread to try to get a problem (that is almost entirely irrelevant and in the wrong forum) you are having in your game.

specifically on that page it says:
* Are your characters shooting at their feet or into the air? You probably have Fallout 3 Re-Animated installed. Re-install the FO3RA animations and overwrite when asked; this should clear up the problem. Let me know if it doesn't!
