  2. Issue seems to be solved, no more blocking forum and messenger or PM pages by MS Smartscreen here.
  3. Here are some hints to configure nexusmods.com as a trusted site http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/smartscreen-filter-faq#1TC=windows-7 without disabling the Microsoft Smartscreen Filter for all This is valid for Win7, 8.x and 10 with use of Edge and or IE. Using any other OS and/or browser may not been affected by this filter. I recommend Nexusmods staff get in contact with Microsoft anyways.
  4. In response to post #35728797. Can confirm what you raise here, since this morning forums.nexusmods.com is on Microsoft Smartscreen Filter here and reported as malicous resource and blocked, the website not, until now.
  5. Here too now since this morning malware warning from Microsoft Smartscreen on IE11 But only for forums.nexusmods.com, not for the web sites until now.
  6. Thanks for the information. I'm looking forward to the SSL feature which I was missing a long time to be enabled.
  7. In response to post #35414060. Yes, Eli, that was interesting for me too now how many users come back to redownload or update. Much more I can see now, as before. I appreciate the change too.
  8. From my experiences, it does'nt work, switching profiles ends up in inconsitencity as missing files and even mods.
  9. OK, can't recommend to do the upgrade/update if you using hundreds or even more active mods. It will not show up the scripted installation mods to select preferences and so on. Also many mods are not installed completely and in the right order. Finally starting Skyrim with obviously all fixed, load screen CTD. Roll back as described on the Wiki also not working smoothly. I decided now to take my Excel sheet with the last export of the mods table and install everything from scratch manually to be able to continue my last savegame in a couple of hours.
  10. In response to post #27530099. #27530184, #27530349 are all replies on the same post. For me too, survey was good, prize not relevant for me.
  11. You usually just need a 'boost' if you modding your game. The default game does not need any extras or changes. If you want to use some mods, may be you will find some hints here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300/? Be careful, go step by step and take some time for the description.
  12. May be you will find some hints to improve your game experiences here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300/? Try first to run the game without SFO, it has an immense FPS hit.

You hit the point ramccoid I guess. There are a lot of half knowledge people about the business background discussing here. Most people which decided to publish their work on Steam and even on the paid mod section have read the rules well to publish mods which contains others legwork to benefit from the distribution of the money everybody earns there. And how to do right. Everybody should calm down, read everything carefully, and concentrate on what it is worth.
  14. In response to post #24679789. #24680359, #24680884 are all replies on the same post. I like this and I'm happy Dark0ne has already implemented the popup note to notice users about the donation feature here on Nexus.

From my community experiences in the early 90ies until now on several forums and when usnet newsgroups support forums started remembering from the past, nothing has changed so far with the participants and their communication habbits ;-) It is still the same. But when I read across all of this thread I'm happy that a lot of people making up their mind on this topic and thinking about the different point of views of the involved people. Finally this proved that Nexus has a great audience and value modders and members sharing a most valuable content.
  16. In response to post #24636819. #24637264, #24637439, #24637449, #24638189, #24638194 are all replies on the same post. Thank you for this information Dark0ne, I much appreciate your open and clear statement and arguments. I'm not a modder, even I'm running three sites with content from gaming experiences and my own translations I'ld like to share for free to the community. For me you mentioned three major points to me: 1. Getting paid for a mod, people expecting support for the mod from the modder. I'm not sure if this will be clear to all modder using the paid version of publishing their work. 2. It should be fine if a modder select a service provider to benefit for the platform the modder already benefit in the past. And a platform which shares the revenues with the users to improve the platform is a good choice of donation in my point of view. 3. Finally it is up to the modder what will be used as a platform to distribute the work. At this point, I remember your point, to implement a feature to point out to people during the download process about the donation option. And saying this, I recognized a lot of modders which mods I'm using (currently 305 active mods for Skyrim) that they actively disabled this option on their mod page.... ! Hopefully everybody calm down and we can keep on enjoying all of the mostly great work which has been published here. Just my 2 cents.
  17. You are using a lot of mods using the scripting engine, that can be the reason what overloads the engine and CPU. Have a look here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300 maybe you can use some hints to improve your game experience.
  18. @Aquilathestne, may be you find some hints to improve your user experience with your hardware using this mod here? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300
  19. I have got this with nearly every NPC in the game now, any idea or do I have to 'resurrect' every NPC I meet?
  20. Since I manually download files, the file names are okay. Today I downloaded JKs mods via NMM and half of them came with correct file name, the others failed with messed up file names. Changed presets for downloading from which servers, but it seems not the issue. Until now I can't really reproduce the reason for the messed up file names. Only thing is, that it only happens when not manually downloading.
  21. May be here are some hints which might help http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300
  22. In response to post #18358179. Possible workaround, use manual download, the file names are correct, only download with manager automatic downloads messes up the file name.
  23. Yes, right, it is not specified for my posts, just in general it notifies for any post. So, seems this feature is missing on the forum features.
  24. Sure, that is the way I do too, but I was wondering if there is a Feature to get notification from those replies to my Posts.
