  1. You should post on r/skyrimmods *(reddit) about this, you'll get a whole lot of feedback there as well as here. Just paste in your OP. Personally, I agree with all the assessments/thoughts/concerns about the textures you had while you were showing them off, such as the Blackbriar reserve being too dark and Honningbrew Mead being too light a label. I think the bottle should be darker for that too, unless it's not see through.
  2. I can't help you, I'm afraid, I'm just glad there's someone else who doesn't find spells as easy as everyone else thinks they are. I'm godawful at them.
  3. Because A) you already have a huge project you're working on and compiling them and putting them all in this one big release is tiresome and a project all of its own, having smaller releases is far more satisfactory and smaller side things B) there's already an "intriguing/interesting" NPCs mod of a ton of NPCs out there C) standalone allows mixing and matching, and most people don't just want like 19 great followers since they're likely only interested in one or a few.
  4. Record in a quiet environment, somewhere with lots of carpets or padding (closets w/ clothes work) so there's not much reverberation or room noise. Turn off all AC, fans, move mic away from computer if possible to avoid hearing the computer. If you can, turn the gain down on your mic as much as possible without recording super quiet. Lean in close if you need to - you should be able to record with your mouth about 3-4 inches away without having super quiet audio. Make sure it doesn't clip/get too loud though! If you're shouting, turn the gain down and move away. If it clips, rerecord it. You always want your audio to be at a nice sound level - too quiet and to increase volume to an acceptable state makes background noise more notable. Too loud and it clips - which is basically unfixable. Be sure you read the line in your head before saying it, figure out how you're going to say it. When done recording, run some quick noise reduction (not too strong!) on the sample, then a quick compressor if you want.
  5. That looks beautiful. Pretty boots :D
  6. Good. I started out with a big project as soon as I learned modding, and while it's still going strong, it was a bad idea.
  7. Pretty nice voices! What mic do you use/do you use noise removal though? I hear some.... hissing/noise in the background?
  8. No, I mean you would add a piece of code at a point when you want that to actually happen. Say, in the end fragment of Ysolda's dialogue, you start your own little mini "progress" quest, register for an update.... 2 weeks later, and then onUpdate switch it. The one issue is where Hulda would go, but other than that, it's "progress".
  9. It's obviously not exactly what you were looking for, I'm just saying that Ysolda does become innkeep after Hulda, and it wouldn't be hard to make Ysolda become innkeep. The alias is already there, you just have to switch the main innkeep alias to Ysolda with ForceRefTo.
  10. Ysolda takes over if Hulda dies. It's set in the alias settings.
  11. Please, don't start this out when you're new to modding. Work on something much smaller first. If you start this out now, it is likely you will not finish, and you will burn out. Start with something small, keep this in the back of your mind and work on it once you've done a bunch of other things and actually learned some.
  12. Yes but I want the EXACT thing it looks so beautiful, the other one looks waaaay to small in width If I knew how to do that, I wouldn't be asking for somebody else to do it.
  13. In the begin fragment of the dialogue of the NPC, make a MusicType property for your music, fill it, and then put this in the begin fragment: myMusicTypeProperty.Add() If you don't know what any of that means, you should really start with the CK Wiki first: http://www.creationkit.com/
  14. The VA was pretty decent; but if you're interested in VAing I recommend something different. Headsets just don't cut it. If you're looking for something cheap, I recommend the AT2020 or if you're looking for REEEALLY cheap then the Blue Snowball - but the quality on that isn't as good. Be sure to pick up a pop filter as well. @818 I did not take your post as defensive or dismissive. I do think you should put up samples that appropriately show the quality of your work, BUT I did not take what you said badly. 818 had made some points clear to me via PM about why he said what he said which makes more sense with the information that he told me about a set of PM's, and I am trying to encourage to post those points here.Understood. I really did not take what he said as anything bad at all; it didn't even occur to me it might be seen that way until you made your big post. If 818 wants to make another post, he can go ahead, but I have taken no offense.
