How long does it take for a game to get approved?
lmstearn replied to SpoderQ's topic in Site Support
Hi Illuviel, wonderful, missed that, so am doing so. It'll have to wait a while longer until the major outage is resolved, no worries. -

Similar situation with one uploaded last month, it was provided with an update in case the details weren't clear. Any chance of an ETA? Thanks. -
The comment histoires precede 2016 greatly, e.g the MGE comments from 2006, and a lot before that, so yes thanks, that's a useful functionality for keyword search. Why did I post here? A forlorn hope that using the old_forum_page_numbers as keywords would bring up the old forum pages, or at least a formula on hand which can convert an old_forum_page_number to an existing mod comment page number. Hats off to the CAPS, GIF, and tiny/large font contributors of yesteryear to make it easy for the old links to be less broken. Might be out of luck at this time, will keep tuned for developments.

Is this still on track? Had bookmarked some comments in the USSEP thread a while back, unfortunately unavailable at this time. Thanks.

In response to post #43597360. #43610225 is also a reply to the same post. Hey @Dragon32, long time no see! :) The Brian Hinckle site looks as if it has moved on- it's likely the mod history listing is 1.9b, as the file size is smaller.

Thanks. Before that was spotted here it was Google "<Game Name>" "mod" "categories", which does the job as well.

Another angle to this kind of thing is for reputable gaming sites to consider an old/new thing: the venerable webring. Under this umbrella, much less of a stretch for members to act as mirrors when a disaster occurs.

I would contact Ian Patt with as much relevant detail on the problem as possible: Perhaps constructing a simple scenario where he can reproduce the issue easily is the best bet. Like a little test .esp. Recommend posting it here with instructions. I have a vanilla setup and can test for you if you like. :)

There's 2.04 out. The OP hasn't been updated as yet.

Map invisible. Need help, all fixes are outdated.

Just curious: Did you use CBash or PBash? There have been some issues in CBash that someone will get around to repairing sometime soon. :) -

LE How is skill leveling determined in the CK?
lmstearn replied to Novem99's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Skilling is a story event. There is also OnObjectEquipped. (That page could be redone to tree format similar to script objects where we find some armor functions.) -
LE Dialogue Locks Up After Scene
lmstearn replied to JetSteele's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
When the scene ends with a dialogue is that done via force greet on Player? Disabling/Enabling Player controls should work in an ObjectReference script. Do these console commands show anything in the dialogue? IsScenePlaying <sceneID> IsSceneActionComplete <sceneID> SetActionComplete <console: click on actor> IsScenePackageRunning <console: click on actor> How do the quest variables look and compare to in-scene and in the failed dialogue? <Console: SQV>Are the aliases Unique Actors or specific references? It's a possiblity an actor reference in the scene is not the same as the one in the dialogue. (console mode <> click on actors for ID) Edit:Wouldn't do any harm to browse through the scene data in Xedit. I've been toying with the idea of doing a pascal script for scene manipulation in Xedit. Just got to brush up a little on the Pascal (or was it Algol?) used some time in the misty disty past. -
LE Dialogue Locks Up After Scene
lmstearn replied to JetSteele's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Everything is ok when the player controls aren't set? What does the calling script extend? Might be an engine bug. What are the results from debugging with sMenuControlsEnabled or IsActivateControlsEnabled? It's a long shot, but try just one or two params of DisablePlayerControls. -

Locking the player controls worries me a bit. How was that done exactly? -
Shader reference for Oblivion?
lmstearn replied to WJS7744's topic in Oblivion's Oblivion Construction Set and Modders
Best bet is to look through the existing OBGE or Oblivion Reloaded shaders. The old OBGE wiki is archived here. Vtastek of Godrays may also be of some help if he is still around. -
LE SFO - what would you like to see improved?
lmstearn replied to vurt's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
This is playing on an old harp- but still no BAIN Wizard or Fomod? Something along the lines of the SMIM? C'mon, spoil us all with choice! -

Yes, having no further use for them 0 is fine, :) -
LE Avoiding Save Bloat
lmstearn replied to skinnytecboy's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
@skinnytechyboy: congrats on the coming release! From my own (very limited) experience: Ditch the summoned NPCs if you can. Are the trigger boxes linked to anything? If so, might be a problem otherwise leave them. Setting the globals to null should be enough. Keep the created cells- in a bsa with compression perhaps? -
Thanks for posting the guide up. Any success stories with it yet?

In response to post #26464079. #26468539, #26472754, #26473564, #26474444, #26474639, #26475714, #26478409, #26494614 are all replies on the same post. Back in business then. Thanks! :) Hmmm: thinking about a possible cause might relate to the recent addition of the new (and handy) spoiler revealing previous replies to a given thread in the forum version of download comments. (Is it possible the direct forum link to some popular mods been removed to address the bug?) As the number of replies grew the content in the spoiler tag might have breached a watermark, continuing the S/W in the direction of some singularity.

In response to post #26431284. All of a sudden the Traffic Snarls, Software is running to Limits and there are DDOS Issues, but WTGR for me there never was a problem. Let's all Honk our Horns for a Solution around the Corner to run us back up to Easy Street. :P
