I use old saves, so.. nope it shouldn't affect them, although my game said something about corrupt save, but it said also it had content that wasn't there anymore (mods) - yet it loaded it perfectly fine. Once you get game loaded, do a new save anyway to minimize conflicts.

I've had few issues. The game crashes for me, but only rarely. Sometimes it's bad and only takes a few minutes before it shuts down my entire rig, but most of the time, I can play for hours without so much as a framerate hiccup. I hope that Bethesda releases a good patch to stop the crashes, but I'm happy in the mean time.
If the game makes your whole rig go down, that could be related to some overheating problem, have you checked you CPU, GPU temperatures? - just a thought....

Decided to make some kind of my observations with Skyrim, I compare some of them to Oblivion, just you can see how much Skyrim is different and better than the old buggy oblivion with millions of mods, of which 99% was useless.
Things I like about the game:
- Character jumping animations, they improved these very much from Oblivion
- Character jumping, you can't get stuck in the air when jumping like in Oblivion
- Totally new engine and you can feel it
- Extremely varied and nice colors
- People talking to you even your just running by which is good - I always want to chat with people to get to know them
- Merchants not buying your stuff, maximizing time consumed gaming when running back and forth from store to store, more gaming time
- Game user interface, well thought fast responsive, informational
- Great RPG elements on how to build your character
- Technical wonder, runs perfectly even on most oldest hardware
- Updates, you can get free Steam updates, so your game stays stabile and gets new numerous features without your interaction
- Bug free, apparently game has gone thru very throughout testing period, since you hardly can see any bugs in the game
- Price, very good considering how much you get to do in the game and all features are really working
- Balance, very well thought classes - all completely balanced - you can make any kind of toon, and it gets better in whatever he's doing, what we didn't
have in Oblivion for example
- Companions - advanced AI party members, so you don't need to go alone, they are always there behind you watching your back
- No same textures in world (like in Oblivion) - when you enter for example to an inn, you can feel the refreshness when seeing something totally new
- Exciting story
- Cooking, for every meal you make you get at least 1 coin more when selling it instead of raw indegredients
- Dual wielding, you can't block - it would have been unrealistic to make toon to raise other hand to block incoming anyway
- People hitting you 2 meters away with dagger, gives that realistic feeling that you have to stay alert (like in Oblivion)
- NPCs enemies well made AI for them, like a real thing, they even seem to think before doing anything harsh
What I don't like
- Much Loot
- Some parts of graphics
- Detailed armors, clothing
- Killing moves
- hmm
- hmm-- indeed - I guess game is just too good to have any more negative sides.
Well that's all I could thought of, Probably forgot many things but anyway wanted to write this.

Are you... perhaps .. a materialist?

Occasionally happens here too, let's wait betsheda to patch it happen every minute

-
Do you have quest markers on? Can't go wrong with them, if that happens anyway, then the game truly is broken
-
If Mass Effect 2 don't run with your machine, I don't think this game would be very well playable, also CPU requirements are higher than in ME2.
-
Isn't it nice to start battle and press hotkey to equip weapon and see nothing happens and you get beaten - when game forgets million times per game users hotkeys - one of the things I hate the most in game...

I just love when peeps really think before posting issues, I'd say this is main reason I even read these posts, thank god sometimes pops up a decent post like this, with some real facts and well articulated well thought words from apparently poster, which you might think; do this for life.

Lydia is known to have relationships with elks, it's not at all uncommon for her to disappear, sometimes even during fights. I'm sure she will come back later to notify you there's a cave wondering what's in there.

Also never had any kind of problems with Steam, well only that classic one, I loose money more when it takes just few clicks to buy a game...

It's because you have "on-screen interface fix" installed

4 words: Black and White

So anyone knows how to do that? When I put showracemenu, it resets almost all sliders at first, ok fine I can make new one from scratch, but how to save the toon without losing racial bonus and stats?
-
OP can tune his computer ok fine, yet he has yet to learn how to use search in Win ... uum.. like... search freeze.com.... - But no first thing he does, is come to Nexus forum bashing Steam :) weee
Anyone else adore the UI?
