  1. There are tons of great female figure mods out there. My absolute favorite is The Girl Next Door. It's the most realistic one, speaking from my point of view. It's a "pear" shaped body as are all the other female bodies available. I rarely play a female character, these days, but I was thinking of starting a new one and then it hit me; "We don't have any "apple" body mods. Apple body is a term used to describe a womans shape that isn't a "pear' shape. They are broader across the back and breasts, more full but shorter around the waist and a bit narrower around the hips. Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Rosario Dawson are well known examples of the apple body type. Another term used to describe the body is rectangular rather than triangular. Many many female athletes have the apple shape and in a lot of instances, they seem to be better suited to certain sports. In addition to being my favorite body type, they would fit perfectly into the game. All that to say if anyone has been wanting to create a new female body type, how bout that one? I would do it myself but Blender drives me insane and I've tried off and on for 3 years to try to learn it. I just don't get it. More importanly if one is already out there, PLEASE let me know about it! Thanks!!
  2. AH! Gimp. Thanks for that. Give DA Playable Troll Race a look. The females have some very nice tusks that go with the human head. The males use the Orc head with large tusks. They're the only tusks that I've found. If I was on my pc, I would show a picture of the females, but I do believe there are pics in mod page. They might be exactly what you were looking for.
  3. Ok. Thanks for the help! Ill try that tonight. I'm at work, on break, so I'll go into more detail about what I'm after. I'm going to use the half orc head because it has creases on the nose ridge. (I believe that there is a version of the HO race on your MHE mod) I'm aiming for black/greyish skin from one of the drow mods and small tusks, but with a human mouth. Really I just need a crease where the brow meets the nose ridge. More like a neanderthal look than orc. The crease is more important than the black skin, so I could forego the black skin and just get as dark as I can. I'll try your suggestion first. It's just for my own use because its for my FCOM game and it would be op for vanilla. Thanks for your help and its good to see you here. I'm quite a fan of yours.
  4. I have a simple question that will help me get something clear in my head... If I take, lets say, an Orc head and add Drow feet, (in other words, black skin) will I end up with a black Orc? Or will I end up with an Orc with a green head and a black body? I'm making a custom race, but the head is a different color than the one I want to end up with. Do I need to color the head? If so, what program do I use to do it? Long story short, I want to make a half Drow, half Orc. I have everything that I need but I'm not clear on the feet/head color thing. I'm running out of time to experiment tonight, so I thought I'd ask before I pick it up again tomorrow evening. Thanks in advance!
  5. I don't know the name of the mod but there is one that allows your hands to glow, as if they are ready to fire a spell at any moment. Anyone know what i'm talking about?
  6. Thanks guys! Hey Hickory! Good to see you!! Well, I was thinking that I haven't defragged in a while and that maybe my mod files were getting stretched a little too far apart. Last night I defragged. Today I click Wrye's icon and voila! I'm back in business! Lol. Simplest fix, ever. Thanks again Gentlemen!
  7. Wow. You're taking a gift, that has been given to you, and share it with the community. This speaks volumes about the quality of man you are. The thing that I would like to see is a first person view like the one in Mirrors Edge, as mentioned before. When you look down, you see your body as you would in real life. When you run you see your arms moving. Add to that the sound of breathing heavily when running and perhaps even fighting and you'll have some really nice immersion. As for the "You probably won't see it, but it doesn't hurt to ask" request, how bout a couple of shapeshifting spells for traveling? I get this from the World of Warcraft Druids (The only thing I like about WoW, honestly) but maybe a wolf or snow leopard spell for ground travel and a Raven or Hawk spell for flight. It could be a nice alternative for portals or fast travel. I would really like to see an NPC either based on your design or you actually placed in the game somewhere. I wish you success in your fight and with your upcoming visit!!
  8. Depends, a lot, on how Drow-like the Dark Elves will be. If they look like Drow then my first choice will be a Dark Elf, dual wielding, stealthy. Gender doesn't matter but it will probably be male. If the Dark Elves look like the ones from Oblivion, then I'll go Bosmer, female, stealth archer. Poison are my main priority so all points will go into Alchemy at first. Wonder if we'll be able to "piece together" a Druid? I really hope that shapeshifting will be easier to mod this time. I've wanted the ability to change into a crow or raven for a few years now. I have to add, though, that if we get Dwarves or a shorter race and I can make them a bit on healthy side, then my first choice will be a female whatever it is, stealthy, alchemist, collector of wealth, and she's gonna be a bit on the plump side. I ain't afraid of healthy girls! Prefer them actually.
  9. Pretty much what the topic says. I can start the game through OBSE 19 as well as OBMM. I just can't get Wrye Bash to start. It starts to load and then it gets hung up. Probably something simple but I tend to over-complicate things. On the Wrye start up icon in the Mopy file it says "No console".
  10. Hey, thanks all! I think I can find what I'm looking for out of those. Don't worry Slof, I know better! That made me laugh, though. The story behind the request is that I started playing Vindictus, and I liked one of the armor sets. I'm just trying to recreate the look for my female character. Not sexy, just practical. Thanks again, everyone!
  11. I'm just looking for a normal pair of ladies shorts. Is anyone interested in making some or are they already available? I'm looking for something that is longer than what I've seen available, like between the knee and thigh.
  12. As far as the face goes, you can adjust that in the character creation, although you may have to download the construction set and create a race and adjust the face sliders in that, to get the desired look. Some of her features are beyond what the ingame character creator can do. You'll have more freedom to stretch out the features in the construction set. To be honest with you, and I'm not being funny or sarcastic, but you're only going to be able to get close with her face and not exact. The CS doesn't allow you to adjust teeth. You're going to have a tough time with the hair because I'm not sure that there are any out there that are that extreme, but if you go after the bangs or straight hair looks, you'll have success. The clothing is really going to be tough, but there are dresses in some of the Goth mods that could get you in the vicinity. You'll just have to scan through the clothing mods and see for yourself. It really boils down to a lot of looking around and learning the CS. The CS is simple to work with when it comes to faces.
  13. Hi all, I'm working on a race mod taken from one of Tolkiens non-Lord of the Rings books. I have made a power that adds about 15 minutes of focused combat ability. Making the power itself was basic and it works. I want to add an animation that looks like the player is meditating for about 60 seconds before taking off to battle. I tried one way and it was a failure. I simply picked a pose and tried to script it to a spell, and it didn't work. The spell script wouldn't recognize the Idle animation. This is my first time scripting so if someone could direct my to a more involved tutorial, or, can explain what I need to do, I would be veryhttp://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/laugh.gif!
  14. Good news! Looking foreword to it, very much!
  15. You can try this one. Thank you!http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif
  16. I'm looking for a pose mod(s) that include one pose sitting on the ground, cross legged. If there is a single pose of sitting on the ground, crossed legged that would be perfect.
  17. Crafty Bits is a beta that really is beta status. The mod has a number of known bugs. Since you seem to be relatively uncomfortable with installing mods, leave it alone for now. The missing meshes is characteristic of a bad OOO install. Did you use the EXE to install it? Get the complete archive for 1.33, which is OMOD-Ready, and install that, followed by the 1.34b5 patch. FCOM Installation Guide - http://tesivpositive...tallation_guide <-- If you have questions about the guide, specifically please post in the Installation Guides thread (second link in my sig.) I can review your FCOM LO after you reinstall OOO. Check your BSA names as well. If you read that guide, it explains the steps you may take to ensure that your BSA situation is in order for a proper FCOM install. I loaded the archive for 1.33 OMOD-ready version of OOO and the 1.34b5 patch. It was one of the mods after that, that caused the problem. I played for a while after I loaded FCOM to see how things were and everything was fine. MMM, OOO, WarCry... went in before that. I guess my comfort level depends on the type of mods I'm installing. I'm very comfortable installing the basic mods. I can take them apart, repack them and install them manually or through OBMM. I can make my own as well. It's these big 'overhaul" types that I have little experience with. I don't understand how they conflict with each other and why. I ran CB with COBL and MMM prior to this list with no problems for quite some time. Since I never really used CraftyBits it's not a loss. For that matter there are about 5 other mods that I can do without since I really didn't use them much, despite their popularity. I'm going to look at the guide you recommended and follow those instructions. Thanks again for your help! Much appreciated. GAAAHHH!! Those were the original instructions that I followed. But I missed a step... OOO! I had the update but forgot the the main mod! Works perfectly, now. Game is beyond awesome, now and I spend most of my time running for my life. ...which is exactly what I wanted. Thanks a million!!
  18. Well, I finally got it all to work! COBL was really giving me a hard time, till I realized that it or any part of it has to be disabled before bashing. After that you open it up and it works. The only thing that i can't get to work is Craftybits. No matter how and when I load or bash it, it either crashes on start or it keeps asking me if I would like to start with some tools, repeatedly. It's not a big deal, though. I'll do some more research on it. I just wanted to say thanks again for all of your help and assistance! It took several hours but it was so worth it!! The weirdest thing about it is that one of my other mods has wiped out all crates and chests and replaced them with the big yellow WTF?! Missing Mesh symbol, LOL! I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks again!
  19. How will we know where you go? I found Savageartistry on accident and found one of my most important mods, there. I really hate to see you go! Everyone is leaving! But on the other side of the coin, I've never released any of my stuff because I don't want to be bothered with other people. Look at it this way, though, for every idiot 9 year old out there, there are 20 quiet, but very appreciative adults. I always make it a point to leave positive feedback on everything I download. Maybe if more of us did that we could out number and eventually silence the fools. I'm going to go ahead and say this- Please don't leave DorkDiva and please come back SavageArtistry! LHammonds? -Is there some way that there could be a section for modders like DorkDiva, SavageArtistry, and others that feel as they do, where they can have only members that they approve of visit their works? Like some kind of invitation arrangement? I know little about stuff like that so I don't know if it's possible or even a good idea.
  20. Every response was very helpful. I know that they utilities but what I didn't know was what role FCOM and WarCry played. I've used OBMM for 3 years COBL for 2 and Wrye and MMM for the past 9 months. Last night I read that FCOM was a load order organizer and that it could tie MMM and OOO (which I've wanted to try but heard that they were incompatible) together as well as a WarCry, which I never heard of before. What I needed to know was which one had the best explanation of where to start.<div>Thanks for the direction and the clarifications!<br><div> </div> </div>
  21. If so, could someone recommend a load order? I'm guessing Wrye, OBMM, COBL, OOO, MMM, WarCry, BOSS, and FCOM last. That sound good? FCOM is supposed to be the one that ties them all together, no? I know this is ultra ambitious but humor me.
  22. The idea behind the mod is that defending yourself can involve more than killing, or summoning something that kills, the enemy. When I run to other npc's, I'm not going for help from them. I'm leading a group of goblins to a group of mages or bandits or whatever, to get them to fight each other. The other night, on the road to Kvatch, I was being chased by 5 Goblins. I led them past a cave with 6 bandits outside of it. Most of them began fighting but a few bandits continued chasing me all the way to the refugee camp. The Kvatch refugees attacked the bandits. I then ran back to the cave, where the Goblins were pretty much wrapped up, and the remaining bandits chased me back into Camp Kvatch. I continued through the camp, and jumped off the cliff, nearly killing myself and killing 1 of my 2 pursuers. I rejoined the road and ran back to the junction to get to Kvatch. I didn't realize that I had activated another nearby camp of Mage bandits and they joined the battle. When it was all over, there were 17 dead including all the residents of the Kvatch refugee camp. 1 mage was still alive and trying to hit me with fireballs. I paralyzed the mage, looted what I wanted from everyone, and left the mage there. 17 dead, all the loot I wanted and all I did was paralyze one enemy and do some running. That is the point of the mod. Fight with brain instead of brawn. It won't be for everyone, in fact I know, most won't understand it. But I've been playing this way for a year now, and find regular combat quite boring. It will only work with MMM, OOO, or any mod that increases the population of enemies. Alchemy is going to be high because of the need to make poisons and potions. Sneak for obvious reasons. Speechcraft, illusion, mercantile, and personality, because what is a trickster without these? Atheletics for speed. Acrobatics for high falls while minimizing damage. The class or classes will enhance these skills. I've never created a Birthsign, but I'll look into it since that could be a huge help. Since this race will not start off with any high weapons skill, would you consider it over powering to have the total amount of skill points, usually set at 45 for other races, set at 65?
  23. I've used a mass frenzy spell, an invisibility spell, and a paralyze spell. They all work well and are effective, but I don't know if they would be considered op or not. The way I see it, when you're using MMM or OOO, an encounter with an enemy that can kill you in 2 or three hits or 1 spell is a reality. Even a fighter character can have trouble with them. So I don't consider those spells op for a weak non-combatant character. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to go ahead and make one for release. It'll take a bit of time cause I want to do some research for names, check out some unique looks, and look into some various lore to come up with something that will be unique and fun. I'm going to look into creating temporary "buffs" powers that will give a character added points in a few skills. For example, if you cast a power called "Burglar" it will raise your security, sneak and illusion by 20 points for 300 seconds. That will give you enough time to get into and out of a cave or ruin at this heightened level. It will be more of a state of mind rather than a magical spell. It can only be cast once a day. Another would be "Trickster", where you can increase your agility, athletics, and speed to jump off of cliffs and down hills that would otherwise cause injury or death. I have been able to cause up to 3 enemies to leap after me and die on impact, with this one. Those are just a few examples. I want it to be just right and for some reason, I've been having trouble making spells and getting them to show up with my race. Once I get my research done, and work out these bugs, I'll be putting it out there. Thanks for your response!
  24. What I mean by non-combat is that combat isn't the focus. The only mods that I've made are Races with a few spells that are focused on escaping danger, rather than confronting it. I've never released any of them for several reasons. They don't look like anything special, I don't really know how to make them available (though I could learn if I needed to) and mainly, I don't think that many players are interested in playing an escape artist, a trickster or a scavenger. Personally I find them the most fun, but they are very slow levelers and can require a lot of patience, since you're going to spend most of your time, watching battles instead of participating in them. It's better if you use OOO or MMM since you get more groups of enemies to run into each other and fight. Then you pick up the left overs, avoid the survivors, and move on. I've been feeling like I want to contribute, lately, since I've enjoyed the hard work of others for all these years. I was thinking that out of appreciation for the many highly talented people out there, I should share a mod with the community. So all that blabber just to ask a simple question- Is there anyone interested in a non combat skilled character? Of course as you gain levels your character can become whatever you want, but in the early stages, you'll be doing a lot of escaping, avoiding, and basically cowardly acts
  25. LOL! I like that one, but I'm running a hybrid Drow/Darkspear Troll that is a cannibal/ltrickster/thief. I just can't bring myself to make her walk like that. LOL Now if I could make all imperial guards walk like that, I'd do it in a second. Thanks for that! Once I grow tired of my evil black Drow with tusks I'll make either another female or a rather delicate male.
