  1. To me it does not seem any different than the vanilla game experience, Elder Scrolls games have never been known for having Cutting edge graphics, i always had problems like that since Morrowind, popping trees and architecture, LOD and Light/shadow glitches, Personally it does not bother me, as i only care for the gameplay, graphics aren't that important to me, but if it really bothers you try following any online tweak guide for Skyrim, if you have the rig for it you can try to beef up al sorts of settings with the "ini" files.
  2. Hmm.. I have read through your load order and i see no obvious reason for your "stuttering" issue, It is a possibility that the Lanterns of Skyrim mod could effect your performance in exterior cells, all light sources are a bit performance heavy, especially if they cast shadows, Maybe the "Skyrim Flora Overhaul" or "Static Mesh Improvement" is the culprit, but as you said, you had tried deactivating certain mods, If you haven't tried those two maybe try it out, Or if you run Skyrim on an old hard drive, personally i run Skyrim with a i7 3770, with a Nvidia GTX 460 1GB, 8GB RAM, and with Skyrim installed on a Corsair Force 3 SSD. With 61 active mods. No stuttering what so ever. I really hope some of this helps out, it really breaks your immersion when the game lags for a couple of seconds, Best of Luck.
  3. Can you upload your load order here in this topic?
  4. I have a couple of things i want you to try, one of them is a small but great mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6387 Four parts easy to install. The Second thing requires a little more work on your part, it involves editing two files, Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini. In Skyrim.ini Add/Edit: [backgroundLoad] bBackgroundLoadLipFiles=1 bLoadBackgroundFaceGen=1 bUseMultiThreadedFaceGen=1 bBackgroundCellLoads=1 bLoadHelmetsInBackground=1 bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1 bUseBackgroundFileLoader=1 [Animation] bMultiThreadBoneUpdate=1 [HAVOK] iNumThreads=XX <-- In your case set this to 5 [General] bUseThreadedTempEffects=1 bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1 bMultiThreadMovement=1 bUseThreadedMorpher=1 [Decals] bDecalMultithreaded=1 In SkyrimPrefs.ini Add/Edit: [Navmesh] bUseThreadedMeshes=1 [Trees] bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1 bShadowMaskZPrePass=1 [backgroundLoad] bBackgroundLoadLipFiles=1 bLoadBackgroundFaceGen=1 bUseMultiThreadedFaceGen=1 bBackgroundCellLoads=1 bLoadHelmetsInBackground=1 bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1 [General] bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1 bUseThreadedBlood=1 bUseThreadedMorpher=1 bUseThreadedTempEffects=1 bUseThreadedTextures=1 bUseThreadedMeshes=1 bUseThreadedLOD=1 bUseThreadedAI=1 bUseThreadedMorpher=1 [Decals] bDecalMultithreaded=1 For "iNumThreads" set this to the number of CPU cores your PC has. If you have 4 or more leave this as 5 (maximum). Sorry about the long post, the "Spoiler Function" did not work for me today. Hope this helps :)
  5. This is a minor issue i recently discovered, but i want to see it solved, Really appreciate if someone could come with suggestions to what might be causing this. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/5325722-1355322568.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/5325722-1355322470.jpg
  6. Have you tried the Unofficial Patch series? and can you post your load order, system specs etc. There is a lot of things that could be causing this, you have to be more specific.
  7. Well.. you "to my knowledge" don't. Maybe you can find a tool that cleans the Skyrim folder of any new additions not included in the clean install, but understand that even with all our tools for modding Elder Scrolls games today, there still is a lot of work. When i started to mod my games with Morrowind, every mod had to be installed manually, so my tip to you is to just get used to it :)
  8. Do you have the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch by any chance?
  9. I have this problem to, on occasions. I will perform a killmove, often with melee weapons, and after its done the enemy still lives. I approach it again and the killmove engages automatically killing the enemy for good. Can be a issue with a mod, or a bug in the latest Skyrim patch.
  10. Can you post your Computer Specs, i know for a fact that with multicore CPU's some editing of the SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini in the My Documents/My Games/Skyrim, is needed. For enabling multicore Support. Links on how to do that here: http://itcprosolutions.com/skyrimguides/tweak_guide.htm. Also try to clean your ESM files. Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and Hearthfires.esm
  11. Try cleaning your ESM's with TesV5Edit, Great Tutorial here by Gopher; After i did that my game has not crashed a single time, been playing for about 20 hours.
  12. Yeah i have the exact same problem, and iv had so on two different computers, so my guess is that it is a bug within the vanilla LOD files, i can only hope Bethesda will fix it soon, though it is only a minor problem, Maybe a tool like The LOD generator for Oblivion could fix this, but to my knowledge there is no such tool for Skyrim as of yet. You could try to enter a interior cell, hit the console key and type "PBC" (Purge Cell Buffers), this has worked for me on occasions.
  13. Yeah i feel your pain.. Guess the only thing to do, is to wait. Surely they will update them soon, i hope.
  14. I was referring to the latest Skyrim Patch 1.8.
  15. Do you have any map enhancing mods? like enhanced "A Quality World Map - With Roads" or "Colored Map Markers", I'n noticed that since the last Patch, using map mods cause quest markers and player markers not to be shown.
  16. Have you edited the "binvalidateolderfiles=0" in the SkyrimPrefs.ini to "binvalidateolderfiles=1" ? Or have you tried resetting Archive Invalidation with Nexus Mod Manager?
  17. Do you have any map enhancing mods? like enhanced "A Quality World Map - With Roads" or "Colored Map Markers", I'n noticed that since the last Patch, using map mods cause quest markers and player markers not to be shown.
  18. Well, It can be, If you are running Large mods that change allot of different things, but i know of people that are running 200+ mods with generally stability. I personally don't go over 100 mods, just to be safe, and i always try to read the comments tab before installing, I'v had some good games ruined by pretty small and unimportant mods. You can try making your game multicore compatible, just follow these instructions: http://itcprosolutions.com/skyrimguides/tweak_guide.htm . After i did this not only my performance increased but i have not had a CTD since. Running with 81 mods, 2 that are merged in to Bashed Patch (Wrye Bash) which i also would recommend that you make use of.
  19. My tip is just to experiment, i found that using the Showracemenu console code works fine with altering the appearance, to be on the safe side you could use this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20394 Changing Sex and Race may cause problem, but General appearance works fine. Also, if you have the Dawnguard DLC you can change your appearance in Riften from a woman in the The Ragged Flagon, It costs 1000 Septims though.
  20. And do you Run the Unofficial Heartfire patch? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25127
  21. Well i am running with Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM but not UFO, I'v had no such issues, could you upload your load order to this forum topic?
  22. I noticed a peculiar problem recently with the stairs, for some reason the i cant walk up the stairs, the result being i have to jump a couple of steps at a time, Does anybody have an idea on what maybe causing this, not a serious problem but i'm curious. Here's a list of my mods, if any of them could be the Issue.
  23. It could be that you have deleted a esp or esm without disabling it first in a Manager like Wrye Bash. Try using Wrye Bash to check if your save game is corrupt.
