Their intelligent enough to speak like Altmer, if not without the same inflections, and user light swords so I imagine they aren't brainless and useless oafs as you seem to paint them. Are you an ESO player though? I haven't seen anything on the Imga being in Valenwood? My point though, as it has always been before your need to come in and 'debate' has been though that they've been surprisingly underused. As if they were made but then decided they weren't liked.

This is something you could do yourself, I think. -I think-. I've seen mods that address meshes and textures by gender and race through their folder structure so I think you'd apply your bodyslide and then overwrite with the CBBE body manually.

LE Armored Wolf Mount to replace armored Horses
harvengure replied to RagnarSeptim's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I'd have to double check but I think there are already wolf mout mods made. If there are, I might take a swing at this. -
LE Armored Wolf Mount to replace armored Horses
harvengure replied to RagnarSeptim's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Why not have the wolf added instead of the horses replaced? Out of curiosity. -
Geez man, I've seen 2 of your posts and both have been super condescending and make some rather huge assumptions. If you read the post again you'll notice I say that there are physics but that the length of the dress would be an issue. Cool though bro, if it makes you feel better...

Oh, I'm sure. I'm just too into getting out my Dawnguard based mod to do it myself. Though probably a wiser idea to do this than that as the Dawnguard mod is turning to be sizable. Just as you were replying I was going to say it looks like I might have to try it myself but was unsure about being able to edit the existing mannequins without violating something. Otherwise I was going to try and do a wood version, stone version and a skull.

Legal issue for imitating voice actors?
harvengure replied to harvengure's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I had considered that as well, and in fact have been leaning that way more that not. That said, I've had some luck with audio software. Though the female voices do turn out better than the male so far but I do have a pro sound guy who's taken interest in taking the challenge to see if it can be done with his set up. -
Can someone please explain to me how to make mods?

Also, you know, the modding section of the forums... http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/420-skyrim-mod-talk/ -
Already suggested the console, notmyhome. My thought though is if not being able to sleep in a bed that isn't his(?) breaks his immersion than having to do that in the console for each bed would be worse.

It would be a long and arduous process I imagine Even if it weren't, why would you want to?

Alternative Start mod, GandalfFTW.

Huh. This teems like something that would be easy. Though as someone who plays the PS3 version more than the PC due to being on a laptop I do notice some NPCs get into the city pretty late at night. So given them it might be easier to look at some of those mods that turn off vampire attacks and set them on a timer?
-
Well, the way permissions work I dont think it would be possible so much as it would be to work around it. Hmm. It might be possible to set a script that checks the ownership of the bed whenever you try to sleep and change the ownership. Otherwise your best bet might be the console or a spell. As I said, otherwise its a matter of going through and changing each instance of beds because the permissions aren't set by the object but by the instance it is used (if that makes sense) and then if you're using mods then that complicates thing since as a request it would require someone making a patch to a mod to change the permissions of any beds it might add.
-
Well, this would go through and require changing every bed's ownership; tedious to say the least. Not at all impossible, just tedious. Though, in an attempt to understand, it breaks your immersion to not be able to safely sleep in a bed that is not yours? Call me crazy but if I break into a guys house and sleep in his bed, I am pretty sure he'll be pissed when he finds me there.

I've said it elsewhere. My dream mod would be one that is as much of a mod as it would be a resource for other modders. It would be a mod that more or less keeps everything relative to each other, but at least doubles the size of Skyrim so that things are further apart while being able to take up more room. I'm often finding that things feel shoe-horned into existing next to each other. The Western Watchtower could have been (and I suspect was 'part' of) Fort Greymoor. I forget which city it is but there is a bandit ruled for basically right out front of the city; I imagine it should either be farther away or the city would have taken it themselves. There is this little famrstead somewhere, I always forget about it because it -is- supposed be a location you can interact with the PCs at but every time I've found it the PCs have been killed by the mobs from the overly close crypt. If vanilla Skyrim can get crowded in some places, I imagine what it must be like for people with better computers than mine who are able to handle a lot of mods. I imagine they must find that player houses and new dungeons are just stacked right next to each other from a lack of existing real-estate.

The problem I see with this request is the limit of skyrim clothing. Even with the limited physics that has been made possible thanks to, I imagine, some very good script or skeleton work; the length of nature of this dress means you'd either have to have it cut off at the ankles so as to not look like a huge amorphous blob of black at the players feet (or curved upward if one wanted to exactly match the photo) or...well, have a giant amorphous blob. An asymmetrical and hooded black dress otherwise is perfectly doable and honestly surprising if it doesn't exist already.

For those of you who've played through the main quest (as it relates to Alduin) have seen the symbol I am talking about. Do we have more lore somewhere to Akiviri symbols? This particular symbol, I can not -quite- make it out. Near as I can tell it is two dragons of some sort mirrored of each other and a dragon head between their...feet? Also, anyone had any idea what to call that thing on their heads? I've been browsing around for other examples of that style of dragon for inspiration for an armor set and I can't seem to find any. Most of my attempts turn up real life lizards.

Possibly an odd request and one I hope will be easy and that someone will pick it up as I am working on a decent sized Dawnguard mod at the moment. Basically what I hope for is a mannequin's head or some other type of stand that could be placed on a desk or counter or something that one would place a helmet on. If someone wanted to head real fancy with it, make it head and shoulders and one could do necklaces too.

I was just building something from scratch that looked very much like the original but not the same.

And yet they have trolls that guard the Crystal Tower....

LE Idea for a dungeon mod but not sure if it's possible.
harvengure replied to Morgwynn's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Well; the Underdark, in my experience, has several entrances so I think the where for it to begin should be either radiant or variable. Perhaps even random. You have already the Companions, a group not entirely unlike the Fighters Guild who are paid to take on various tasks. It could be a request to them to go exploring of Black Reach and connected areas. You, of course, already have quests that take you there. There is that guy who's name I forget, the one in Markarth I think it is who has the dwarf museum; he'd be a good source of information of quest startnerness. Selena has been around before...well, most things. She might even know of it or -something-. Perhaps the dark elves of Windhelm have heard things or know of things and help the Dragonborn. Maybe they are stories just left behind going as far back as the sacking of Windhelm by the Akaviri. What I would like to see and am finding a surprising lack of in the resources section are additional architectural pieces to build with. I mean it is not as if there is a -shortage- of cave pieces but I found that what was there didn't make for much of a recipe that wasn't more of the same. -
My short answer, yes. Given the sales of the last 2 games I imagine it makes more sense for them to put out another than to focus solely on ESO. Besides, we have all of Akivir and possibly beyond to explore yet.

As said, TES has shown that species (either by their own will or by the will of others) hardly ever and definitely not in their -entirely- stay in their native regions. Also, they are dumb. Big, dumb, dexterous and strong idolizers of the Altmer. Someone who's not to bright but big and strong and quick and sees me as their superior? That's someone i'd bring to keep people in order.
-
Indeed, there hasn't (and we can hope) but as we've seen all throughout the TES, it is hardly as if every member of a specific race tend to stay in their native location.
