  1. I noticed you've been spelling "Bloodskal" with an extra "l" so that might be why you haven't been able to find the enchantment. As for the Bloodskal enchantment, the enchantment placed on the blade itself doesn't do anything. I think it's just a visual effect. The projectiles are actually controlled by a script applied to the player when the Bloodskal Blade is equipped. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works. In any case, it doesn't work like normal enchantment, which is probably why nobody has done this yet. I was actually going to try and make this mod myself since I'd like to apply the effect to a one-handed sword, but I'm only allowed to play video games on the weekend, so I can't test things out right now. I can't guarantee I'll be able to do it anyways since this was actually my first time looking at a script and I have only a very vague idea of what I'm doing.
  2. Actually the mod provides an option you might be interested in. The Dragon-English version shows the words in dragon script and romanized dragon language, and gives the English translation.
  3. I've been working on altering the wolf mesh in Nifskope to look more like real world wolves, and now that I finally got Blender to work, I was wondering if there was any way for me to get Blender to recognize those changes so that I can make some additional alterations without having to redo everything.
  4. There's actually this awesome Predator mod here that includes armor, but also adds Predators as a playable race and even Predator and Xenos encounters. I don't know if other races can wear the masks, but that's easy to fix in the Creation Kit as long as there's no issues with clipping.
  5. There's already a mod that does this. You can find it here.
  6. Nuska Real Skin by the same author has a morph replacer in the optional files.
  7. While desalination is something I would like to implement, it's definitely beyond my current scripting abilities. It's also not something that I would personally use since I use Realistic Needs and Diseases, which already has this feature.
  8. Bad news guys. As it turns out, my external monitor issues were just the start of things. Now my laptop is unusable and I need to get my motherboard replaced. So, until my new motherboard shows up, I'm not going to be able to work on this. As soon as I do get it, I'll be able to upload a beta version since I only have a couple things left to do to get this mod in a functional state.
  9. Actually, it was a problem with my graphics card. The guy that was supposed to be helping me fix a problem with my laptop not transmitting information correctly to an external monitor messed up my driver even more than I previously thought. Thanks for the suggestions though, I appreciate it.
  10. @IsharaMeradin Thanks for the offer, I might have to take you up on that since I'm still kind of a noob when it comes to scripting. @EmuXanadu Thanks, but I've got it covered. @billyro I don't think I would want to eat that. XD Also, I haven't been able to get much done today. I'm having a couple of issues with CK including the render window not showing anything. Until I can get the render window working again, I can't make much progress. I'll keep looking for a solution.
  11. There's this mod that just came out recently.
  12. Looks like you know how get much more out of what you have than I do. I could never figure out why my laptop has issues with Skyrim. No matter what I do, I can't get it to run at an average of over 17 FPS outdoors. And it's not like I have a crappy computer, my specs are actually pretty good as far as I can tell. Well, except for my hard disk. It has some data transfer issues. I don't know if that's the problem though since I don't actually know what that does. Intel Core i7-2630QM @2GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M8GB RAM, 2GB VRAM I've tried changing the settings to low even though the launcher recommends high, and installing various performance enhancers. So, I just installed all the graphics mods I wanted for the heck of it and I only got a drop of 2 FPS. I really don't get it. Oh, and HIALGOBOOST gives me the dreaded BSOD every 20 min. :I
  13. In order for you to use content from the DLC, you would need to add it as a master file. If a master file is missing, it will cause Skyrim to CTD right after the Bethesda logo. While you could technically include DLC assets in a mod and have it work just fine, I'm pretty sure that would be illegal as you would be providing paid content to people who may not have paid for it. You'll have to make a separate non-DLC version.
  14. I actually already have plans to add a large, Imperial-controlled salt mine near Solitude for that very reason. Salt doesn't have the same value in Skyrim as it did during the time of the Romans, but I imagine that it would still be an important export. I was also going to add a vendor of sorts that will sell you salt in bulk for a little less than it would cost to buy the same amount from a regular vendor. It would be kinda like how mill owners will sell you as many sets of 20 logs as you can want in Hearthfire. Of course, that won't be until after I make a smaller mine, but it is planned. Also, I do have some progress to report. I slapped together some temporary textures in Photoshop and started editing some nifs. Eventually, I'd like to refine the textures and maybe even give them a reddish tone like Himalayan salt. I decided to use the ice cave resources as a base since it does have a crystalline look. I looked up some tutorials on making dungeons, and it's really not hard at all except for the controls in the render window being a little weird. I think I'll have something to show you guys on friday since tomorrow is the last day of class for me this quarter.
  15. I was actually helping someone with a mod like this over the weekend. nekollx wanted to make a mod that lets you upgrade armor by combining it with higher tier materials. He wanted to include texture changes for the upgraded armor, but it would be easy to make a version without those changes if he wants to. You could ask him about it, but as far as I know, he's still having a problem with the CK that's keeping him from saving any changes.
  16. Thanks for the info, Ishara. That makes things a lot easier. I've never done any cell editing before, but I'm sure I can learn. I still kinda like how the stone quarry looks, but a regular rock would suffice for a non-HF version. It's probably also possible to embed an activator in the wall to make it look like you're mining from the wall, but then you wouldn't be able to tell if you can mine there until you're close enough and the crosshair is over the activator.
  17. Yeah, it would be illegal. Beth doesn't want people uploading unmodified versions of their stuff. Even if we were to modify it, I don't think it would be fair to provide modified content to people who haven't paid for the original content it was based on. Actually, I think that might also be illegal anyways.
  18. Oh, yeah! I was planning to retex the rock that the vein is embedded in as well as the ore, but the stone quarry is a much a better idea. I totally forgot about that one since I never actually bothered to extract the files from the Hearthfire bsa. Plus the script already gives you four items at a time instead of one and the texture isn't a cubemap. Oh, but using the quarry would make Hearthfire a requirement and idk how many people actually have it.
  19. I'm not sure how it works in Oblivion, but in Skyrim the body mesh is determined by the race of the actor. So, in order to change the body type, you would have to create a separate race for each combination of race and body mesh. Also, vampires count as a separate race, so you'd need new races for them too. Then you would need to script a spell to change the target's race, although it shouldn't be any more difficult than something like a ring menu. In other words, it would be a bit of a pain, but it should be possible.
  20. I finally found where the ore textures are located. The thing is, they're not normal textures, they're cubemaps. I think I can figure out how to edit them properly with a little research. At least I hope I can.
  21. I have also been wanting to see this. I always thought it was weird that you never really saw the Thalmor after crashing their party and the whole deal with Esbern. It would also be great if there was a chance of a Thalmor or hired assassin instead of a hit squad. Unfortunately, I don't currently know enough about scripting to pull this off. I'll definitely look into it though.
  22. I use Lanterns and Candles, which has a similar function. I would love to see colored crystal balls though.
  23. Loose files will override any conflicting files that are contained in a .bsa, so just make your edits and package as normal. With .esp files, all you need to do is load the patch after the mod you're patching.
  24. Skyrim HD is a simple texture replacer, so it doesn't have a plugin file to enable.
