  1. Old time Oblivion fan here.. back when I first played Oblivion, there wasn't an expansion yet and not nearly as many mods as today. Now that I'm back in Oblivion again with most of the DLC's, I'm looking for a good set of mods to spice it up. I have a good collection of mods already, but I found the game is still too much like the original, and I'm looking for a truly fun and challenging experience. And above all, the mods I'm looking for have to be stable and balanced. If it causes crashes, breaks something in-game, or gives you too much of a boost early game, it's not for me. No buzzkill. Example.. the Lost Spires mod. Great mod.. but I'm tempted to remove it for the simple fact, they give you a robe that's worth like 30k gold or something, just for joining the guild! Or one of the dragon mount mods, I heard you start with the mount rather than having to find/fight for it. Not what I'm looking for. So if you know of any good mods/group of mods that fit the criteria of being stable and balanced, please do post it! I'll refrain from posting the mods I have already for now, as I don't want to prevent any of you from posting because I already have a mod or 2 you may recommend, but if anyone does want me to post what mods I have already, I will do so. Also on a side note, I do not have FCOM, but was considering it. How stable is it? Last time I tried a mod that attempted to make several other large mods compatible with each other, it was crash city.
  2. Hmm, I'm kinda interested if anyone will give some good answers to this question. I've heard good and bad about 7. I'm also an XP user (used Vista for a year and a half just to learn it's ins and outs, couldn't wait to go back to XP.)
  3. Ok basically, I installed a mess of mods, including FOOK. Everything works great. But recently I saved my game after a messy battle and exited the game. Few days later came back for another round, and everything seemingly worked minus some abnormal FPS lag. Looted a corpse, grabbed some ammo from some crates, saved game again and dropped a couple graphics settings to make sure my compy wasn't struggling for some reason. Restarted game and headed out, and now Sprint Mod is malfunctioning. No game crashes or anything. FOSE appears to be partially working, as I am able to use Bullet Time with the FOSE key binding (default is X), but the fose.log says This leads me to believe that FOSE is no longer loading the save correctly. It appears to be reading from a .fose file rather than .fos, but assuming that's a generated file or something, my best guess is my save game contains something that FOSE doesn't like. I even tried shortening the save game file to "Save 269.fos" wondering if it just didn't like the file name. In-game, I was able to fast travel to megaton and rest/heal up, no problems. And I was even able to access the sprint mod pedometer where I then attempted to change the bind key. But no matter what I set it to it doesn't work. My character is not injured, nor carrying too much gear. Just no longer sprints. I'm not sure if this is a FOSE problem or a Sprint Mod problem, but I really hope this isn't causing other underlying problems (other FOSE mods quitting too). Any help?
