Make sure you have your Windows sound Playback, Advanced tab options set to Default Format: 24-bit, 44100 Studio quality. This stopped 99% of my CTDs.

I'm looking forward to this mod more than anything else out there for Skyrim. :)

I couldn't get Oblivion to run after I upgraded from Vista Home Premium 64 to Window 7 Ultimate 64. I'm a stubborn bastard though. Here was my problem as found in the Event Viewer (Default app in Windows): Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWow64\aac_parser.ax Then I looked at this thread. As the light bulb over my head went on, It dawned on me that this obscure sound related file wasn't going to be missed. I used my DXMan codec tool to quickly find and remove the file plugin aac_parser.ax and then fired up Oblivion again. It works! I hope this solution might help someone else in need.

I notice you have Streamline 2.1.esp. For one thing, that is a very old version. I suggest you use 3.0 for more stability when saving than 3.1, but I in fact do not use Streamline any longer for auto-saves because it was Streamline that had been causing me to CTD on save. Yes, and I think that's also true of 3.0 unfortunately. I now use it solely for FPS management. For saving I suggest this mod: Auto-save and time Simply edit its .INI file to disable whatever other features you don't need or want. I use Streamline for FPS management. No matter how you choose to use Streamline, it should be at the very end of your load order. I also very strongly suggest you download BOSS and use that to automatically sort your load order.
