Doing the quest doesn't change the fact that it respawns. Why would you want to move in the ship anyways? It's much more worth it to save up for a player house.

My favorite spot is definitely in the mountains near Chorrol. Every where you go, there is a great view. http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/567917-1218901120.jpg -
What's the most ridiculous thing you've done in game
MikeHibs replied to Netwit2008's topic in Oblivion's Spoilers
I like to put on god mode. Then go to the elder council chambers. I open up the console, click on the high counselor (forgot his name). and type in "createfullactorcopy" about 10 times Then i stand in the middle of the table, and shoot an arrow at one of them. It's funny to hear all of them at once yell "Assault, Assault!!" When the guards come in, they just run around the table trying to get to you. Then when everyone is attacking me, i make more copies. And if done right, the new copies will see the old ones attack you. Which causes them to fight each other. It's not exactly ridiculous. But, it is fun to do when you are bored. -
The easiest thing to do would be to reload to mod. And just do what ever you did originally to get the armor.

NPCs normally don't come and take your stuff. The drawer that you put your stuff in probably respawns. It wasn't good idea to move into the ship anyways, since wasn't designed to be a player home. You might be able to find a mod that changes that, but the ship is for a quest. So it might be hard to change something like that. What you could do, is buy a house. Or get a house mod to store your stuff in. As for your missing stuff, i don't think you can get it back, unless you have an earlier saved game.

it really depends on what mood I'm in Sometimes i just run around from dungeon to dungeon and kill people, take their weapons, and sell them in town. Then when i get bored of that, I buy a house. I go to the local store every day to buy food. I go to the chapel every week. I'll hang out at the bar in the afternoon. And I'll even dress up and go talk to the count or countess once and awhile. Then eventually i get bored of that, and i just go out and raid dungeons again.
