  1. Is Warband standalone or does it require the original Mount and Blade to play? The multiplayer looks amazing and I've been wanting some good multiplayer to get into recently/
  2. Is that the original Mount & Blade or does it include Warband?
  3. I feel like E.T. has gotten the reputation of "worst game ever" without people ever actually playing/seeing it. It's like it's a knee jerk reaction when people hear E.T. they automatically just repeat how it's the worst game ever. E.T. is a horrendous game, but it is not close to being crowned as worst game ever. Titles like Superman on the N64, or any of the Zelda/Mario games on the CD-i are far worse than E.T.
  4. I recently watched a let's play of Absolution from someone who was able to get an early release of the game, it looked amazing but yeah I'd say to wait on this one. I would agree to wait for it to be on sale, the main campaign seemed relatively short, although there is a lot of replay value in the sniper challenge mode and redoing missions to try and get a higher ranking. In regards to crashing and slowdown, just try adjusting down to medium and see if that does anything. Or it could just be it was poorly optimized to run on a PC. I know devs who focus primarily on consoles don't always translate to decent PC ports (see Dark Souls)
  5. Was just reading the description on moddb, this looks like a good one. I'll have to check this one out as well, I can never get enough of HL2 mods.
  6. The same argument could be made in the inverse with a proficient swordsman up against a staff/spear wielder.
  7. Is a full healer based class viable in Skyrim, such as a monk or priest? I'm thinking of doing something different from the typical warrior/rogue/caster classes or a variation between these three. Obviously I would have to have a decently strong companion to accompany me, but would this be a viable class option? I know there were priest or healing focused classes in Morrowind and Oblivion, but truth be told I never gave them any thought. Here's my breakdown of what my custom priest class would look like: Race: Khajit Major Skills: Restoration, Alteration, Illusion, Speech, One-handed (maces only) Minor Skills: Smithing, Enchanting Would an Imperial be better for the +10 bonus to restoration or a Khajit be more viable for more of a monk based class for the 15 damage with class, since no unarmed skill.
  8. Breton is a personal favorite for any magic or caster class. Decent racial bonus of 25% resistance to magicka. If you're going to be using a lot of destruction spells dark elf wouldn't hurt. Plus ancestor's wrath is a pretty unique and useful racial skill for dark elves, especially if you're going for the more aggressive caster type. I'm pretty sure they get +10 starting bonus to destruction and they are resistant to fire magics as well. I don't like elves, orchs and anything else that isn't human. I don't know why. A plus is that the female Ashen is pretty cute. When playing, I play mostly in third-person so I don't wanna look at some ghastly orch's backside, or a petite elf. I'm not too familiar with that race. I know it's a modded one but what bonuses or racial talents do they grant?
  9. More than likely they will be two handed. If there were one handed spears everyone would be complaining about no option for dual wielding, in which case what would be the point of having spears?
  10. Breton is a personal favorite for any magic or caster class. Decent racial bonus of 25% resistance to magicka. If you're going to be using a lot of destruction spells dark elf wouldn't hurt. 11. I better see spears back in TES. I miss my custom King of Spears class from Morrowind, it needs a comeback.
  12. It's really up to your own play style on how you allocate your "level-up" points. If you play a more reserved style using companions or conjurations, I would say stick to upgrading magicka primarily early on. If you're more of an aggressive spell-caster I would focus on alternating health and magicka upgrades at each level. My first playthrough in Skyrim I played a destruction oriented mage, and dual casting spells at a higher levels will drain your magicka faster than you think. Even with upgrading magicka at every level up I was still running out, even with buffs and regen.
  13. I tend to side with Mr. House. He's a narcissistic *censored*, but he is a genius, and of the options, probably does represent humanity's best shot at achieving a level of technological advancement similar to pre-war conditions in the shortest timeframe. Also, you're basically going to be the right-hand man to the leader of an authoritarian government, which means it's gonna be easy street for your character for the rest of their life. NCR victory made me feel a little bit hollow - yay, I just gave the rich and powerful more stuff to oppress the poor with! Yes Man seemed kind of pointless, though I loved the character and especially his voice acting - you aren't really accomplishing anything. Mr. House is gone, and it's not like the Legion, NCR, and various raider groups aren't going to come back at some point (maybe different raider groups, but raiders just the same.) Haven't done Legion ending, I can't tolerate Caesar's megalomaniacal bulls*** for more than about five seconds. I always end up stabbing him just to shut him up. I know the feeling, even on my Legion playthrough I couldn't help but start shooting everyone in Fortification Hill when I first arrived. Never did finish with that playthrough with siding with Caesar.
  14. I've always loved rifles in Fallout, specifically sniper or scoped rifles. Nothing beats sitting back and taking someone down before they can even get close or notice you're there.
  15. OK I'm definitely gonna try this next! Imma look for some gameplay on youtube and then I'll download it. Thx man! :) I would stay away from watching a let's play for either of these mods. The vast majority of let's plays for them on youtube involve people annoyingly talking over much of the game, usually with whiny screams, which simply ruins the atmosphere of what a horror game is supposed to be. I think both of them have gameplay footage from the devs on their respective moddb pages.
  16. If you have any Source based games check out the mod Nightmare House 2. Kind of on the shorter side but definitely a great story to keep it interesting and a good scare. Another Half Life mod that used the earlier game engines is Afraid of Monsters - Director's Cut. Again, even though it's a mod it is the scariest game I have ever played. I had trouble getting past certain parts of the game because I didn't want to continue and see what was waiting to freak me out next.
