  1. Lets say you want to have two Skyrim installs. In this example Skyrim will not be modified, and will be installed under C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim. C:\Skyrim\Install1, and C:\Skyrim\Install2 for the game folders. Now you want to change the folders %localappdata%\Skyrim the install directory, and the mods NMM sees. The NMM mod directory will be C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim Make sure to backup all data if you are going to try this. First create the folders The only difference from install one and two will be the number (C:\Skyrim\Install1 or C:\Skyrim\Install2) C:\Skyrim C:\Skyrim\Install1 C:\Skyrim\Install1\appdata C:\Skyrim\Install1\Game C:\Skyrim\Install1\Mods C:\Skyrim\Install1\Saves Copy the contents of %localappdata%\Skyrim to C:\Skyrim\Install1\appdata C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim to C:\Skyrim\Install1\Game C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim to C:\Skyrim\Install1\Mods %userprofile%\\Documents\My Games\Skyrim to C:\Skyrim\Install1\Saves Create the 2nd install the same wat just change the 1 to 2 Now you need to remove the following folders. %localappdata%\Skyrim C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim A batch script that could be used to change game directorys would look something like this (untested To run install1 @echo off rmdir "%localappdata%\Skyrim" rmdir "C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" rmdir "C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim" rmdir "%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim" mklink.exe /j "%localappdata%\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install1\appdata" mklink.exe /j "C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install1\Game" mklink.exe /j "C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install1\Mods" mklink.exe /j "%userprofile%\\Documents\My Games\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install1\Saves" to run install2 @echo off rmdir "%localappdata%\Skyrim" rmdir "C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" rmdir "C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim" rmdir "%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim" mklink.exe /j "%localappdata%\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install2\appdata" mklink.exe /j "C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install2\Game" mklink.exe /j "C:\NMM-Mods\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install2\Mods" mklink.exe /j "%userprofile%\\Documents\My Games\Skyrim" "C:\Skyrim\Install2\Saves" The batch files would as far as programs know delete and add new files to the directories needed.
  2. Can you try installings the drivers from nvidia and see if that helps?
  3. Did you install the nvidia drivers, or are they the ones Windows installed?
  4. SKSE's memory functions don 't work unless you have skse.ini setup in the correct place to enable them. This file has to be created manually after SKSE is installed.
  5. Do other discs (cd dvd) read in your laptop or is it just Skyrim that does not read?
  6. I don't know what the difference between a GT 620 and a GT 640 is, but I know that a GT 620 cant run Skyrim at 25fps on low settings. A friend tried it.
  7. And if you want steam installed in the program files folder you can move where steam stores the game library. It is a setting in the steam client.
  8. You also don't seem to know your problem. Read here http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1592053-how-to-ask-for-help/ If you cant supply that information no one can help further at this point.
  9. Why ask for help if you are not going consider most of the answers? It is a software problem, and it is normally a missing master.
  10. I think you will to to take your computer into a repair store that is willing to fix your software problems. Here you list 4 steam games 3 are source, and 1 is not. Skyrim is not a source game. The number of games you cant play tells me this is a steam, directx, or a pre-requsite error maybe some combination of the above.
  11. Are you stuck as a werewolf? Normally reverting from a werewolf is done automatically with a timer. Unlike the vampire lord that requires to to use a revert form spell. PS If you want more help then that read http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1592053-how-to-ask-for-help/
  12. Did you install any new mods shortly before this happened?
  13. Wyre Bash will also tell you what ESPs a save is expecting.
  14. Wow... you actually put up a picture of it... No offense but I think that was a bit unnessescary, I know a lot of people on this forum get really butthurt when someone pirates but, just chill out man  Maybe it was unnecessary, but I doubt it did any harm. I also think you quoted the wrong post?
  15. If you are referring to me. I do use Steam for updates. I never said I don't approve of it. Steam is broken for me, It normally takes 2 weeks to download a 5GB game from steam, because Steam fails to recognize the files it downloaded and keeps re-downloading them. This download error turns a 5GB game download into a 20GB+ download. Steam has also started re-downloading a complete game because it somehow forgot it had already downloaded, and installed it. This download bug has almost got my internet shut off a few times for breaking the "fair use" policy. While this download bug is ocurring a Skyrim download ends up being 60GB for a 13GB game. Some steam updates make downloading worse, and some improve it. Right now Skyrim is using steam in online mode, but I expect one of the next few steam updates will break that. If you want to blame my ISP fine. However there is only one ISP here. Also I don't have the luxury to sell a house, find a new job, and move just for the possibility of a different ISP. Because I know you will not believe me.
  16. The problem with that PSU is the 12v rails. It should supply enough power to run with out problems, but only if you can manage to balance the power load over both 12v rails. If one of the 12v rails gets overloaded the PSU will shutoff.
  17. I don't use Steam when playing Skyrim because of Steam download problems that Steam will not fix. Every other digital download system works fine for me but not steam. Does this mean the copy of Skyrim I bought at WalMart for 59.99 is pirated? My Point it that not everyone who does not use Steam to play Skyrim is a pirate. I don't support piracy, but I also wont assume someone is a pirate just because they don't use Steam to play a game like Skyrim. If need be I can take a picture of my game DVD with my username on a piece of paper in the photo.
  18. You could try the version that is not part of skse. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?
  19. Both of those pages are only showing GPU Power usage, and do not include the power draw from the rest of the system. I had a similar issue once, and it was indeed that the PSU was too weak. This PSU was rated for 650W, and the PC supposedly only needed 520W. I replaced the PSU with a higher watt PSU and it solved the problem. Not all power supplies are created equal. There are power supplies that can not even supply 3/4 of their rated power. The first site has it even written on the graph. "Full System Draw"... And like I mentioned 3 times already. Games like BF4 or FC3 would see an impact too, what they dont do... I googled it several times and asked several people and 90% said that 500 is enough. Why did you ask for help if you are not going to consider any of the answers you are receiving? You are so focused on the watt number printed here and there that you are missing the point. Even IF your power supply is rated for 500W if is not supplying all 500W you need a better PSU. IF you still insist it is not your power supply at fault please add the manufacturer, model, and age of your PSU.

  21. The 1st thing I have to recommend is not to use any ENB. For me it does not matter what ENB I use they all cut performance in half or more. I am currently using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2551/? instead of ENB. It also does not technically hold @ 60 fps the entire time. It runs at 60fps about 80% of the time and the rest it is at 40fps. Vsync is on but the setting in Skyrim does no good for me, as I am using a 120Hz monitor and need to set vsync in the nvidia control panel. I know I am forgetting a few of the things I have changed, but not sure what right now.
  22. Not true. You can have well over 100 mods including mods that add NPCs, higher poly meshes, 2k textures and get 60fps. However you do need to put more effort into getting it there. This is the problem, and that is most people that play Skyrim will not put in the extra effort to do this.
  23. One of the people I know has an AMD FX8350, and IIRC an GTX 780. I don't know what the other one has for a GPU. He is also dealing with low GPU usage. I also edited that post to reflect the added specs but I took a long time typing it, and the specs where added while typing it. In the end I was just trying to advise caution when flashing the BIOS, but it seems trying to help was a bad idea.
  24. OP It seems to be recent trend for some reason. I know a few people that have the same problem and have yet to find a way to fix it.
