  1. I've been using SkyRe for quite sometime now and I've come to the conclusion my favorite would probably be a huntsman specializing in survival and stealth mostly using bows and daggers with light armor. I really recommend to anyone using SkyRe.
  2. To return to the op if all your looking is to overwrite the values of your skyrim ini file all you have to do is change said values in the file. Nvidia did a great article on subtle ini changes that make a huge improvement on the graphics of your game.
  3. Uninstalling a mod is tricky business like the previous fellow said if you have any left over scripts from the mod a clean install is really your only option as well as removing any saves that had the mod in it.
  4. You could batch the files into a zip and add it as a mod which is what I did and you could then translate that into a menu replacer, please put a link to your photos I'd definitely like to see them Im a sort of skyrim photographer myself lol.
  5. This is intriguing the safe bet is to do a clean install and see if you have the same problems with no mods but goergie is right we need a little more info to diagnose the problem, if you could post your load order that would be a good start.
  6. Wow that's pretty weird! What are you using to take the screens? Are you using steam or something else?
  7. Potentially mods that will conflict with others im assuming the brighter the color the more conflicts it will cause. I would also recommend using Tes5edit to clean your mods, look up gophers video on YouTube for a well done explanation on how to do so.
  8. I'm confused as to what the problem is, if you haven't used the perk points then you shouldn't have to remove them from anything. After you level, your faced with the choice of health stamina or magic which is mandatory, but you can stockpile your perks indefinitely until your ready to use them.
  9. This is pretty intriguing, are you sure you installed SKSE correctly? Make sure you do not put the src file in your skyrim directory that is only for mod authors. Also there are several good YouTube videos outlining the process its fairly simple.
  10. Thanks for the advice Ill try these and hopefully it will work, here's hoping!
  11. Do you happen to know what the AA setting is? I haven't tried that yet and they didn't go into much detail about it. (sorry if its an obvious thing I'm rather new to the whole Rig building and modding community I was mainly a console gamer.) And do you know what sort of video card related issues they might be? I just installed my second video card a couple days ago but it seemed to work fine until I started to move my mods around. Edit: And I'm confused as to how it can be graphics related because my skyrim game has worked fine in full screen up until a few days ago.
  12. I completely agree with the above comment , cleaning your dirty edits with Tes5Edit is a must for modders. Here's the link the the video Also I suggest using Wrye Bash along with it. However texture rendering funky in game is more often then not a GPU problem like the first fellow said make sure all your graphics cards drivers are up to date before you go and spend money you might not need to spend! :P
  13. That suggestion will solve all your problems, especially if you use the show race command in a resource intensive area. The guy who made it's a genius really. In any case do post back, I'm intrigued to see if that solution works for a saved character file.
  14. Hey there nexus I'm back with another technical issue! A few days ago after messing around with my mods I tried to play Skyrim and when I hit the SKSE loader the screen went black and nothing would happen, no Bethesda logo, nothing. So after screwing around with it for awhile I finally just decided to start from scratch and do a clean install. I deleted all steams local content, deleted my skyrim directory and all my saves and .ini files. Heartbroken knowing that Id have to start anew on my character, I started re installing. After it finished I ran a quick test just to make sure I had solved the problem, I didn't re install SKSE or any mods, a simple vanilla start through steam and to my surprise I was welcomed with the same problem! So I did some troubleshooting and found that when running in windowed mode it started just fine. I looked up solutions, tried the prefs.ini solutions by changing the bFull Screen values to 1 along with my monitors native resolution. that didn't work, So I tried ANOTHER clean install thinking I'd missed a corrupt save or something but to no avail. Still works fine in windowed mode. I'm at my wits end! The only other thing I can think of is I read somewhere that the Skyrim engine doesn't support SLI setups. Here is my Rigs setup: -AMD six core CPU -ASUS Crossfire Formula-Z MoBo -16 gigs Vengeance Corsair Ram -Two EVGA Ge-force GTX 660 super-clocked SLI GPU's (4 gig dedicated video Ram) -Thermaltake 700 watt PSU So I know its not a lack of power or anything. I thank you all in advance to any help and advice you all can give me I'd really appreciate it! I really need to get back in so I can continue my modding project! Edit: I've almost got it working, if I run it without any background programs it will work in full screen but I exited out to try one more time to make sure I had fixed it but the second time I was faced with the same problem as before. This is really starting to get irritating...
  15. I will definitely try these suggestions thanks again!
  16. Thanks for the reply! I saw the thing about dirty edits on boss but I've been a little bit apprehensive about doing it myself do you know of any good YouTube tutorial maybe? And to add I fixed my CTD menu crashes by running it as admin but 10 minutes into a new play through I CTD'ed again. But to answer the second part of your response, from what I've gathered its mostly prolonged sessions outdoors. it doesn't seem to be any interior cells of combat related.
  17. Hello nexus users this is my first post on the forum so please bear with me if there are any rules, mistakes, or general newbie comments I make in the following post. I'm not new to foruming but this is my first time here but from what I've gathered you all are a helpful group so here's hoping! But I digress let me get to my point. I've been in the modding scene for a little under a year now so I'm not completely new to terminology and all that (something I'm sure you guys are glad to hear :P) but as of late, after I built my most recent gaming rig, I've come across a persistent amount of CTD's either at the title screen or just minutes into game play Here is a composed list of all the things I believe will help in troubleshooting. BOSS Log http://imageshack.us/a/img803/3037/capturetm.png SKSE version Im on http://imageshack.us/a/img803/46/capture1dp.png My load order (sorry if some are hard to see) http://imageshack.us/a/img850/7835/capture2wu.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img13/4236/capture3le.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img441/4281/capture4ih.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img22/78/capture5zt.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img407/3449/capture6k.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img22/1386/capture7kx.png unknown mods in BOSS http://imageshack.us/a/img19/4373/capture8do.png My masterlist in wrye bash http://imageshack.us/a/img805/6947/capture9ow.png I've also used TES5Edit to troubleshoot my CTD's but I find it a little to confusing tell whats going on with it Here is also specs on my rig AMD six core CPU ASUS ROG formula-Z MoBo EVGA Ge-force GTX 660 FTW: 2 gigs dedicated video memory 16 gigs (8x8) dual channel of Corsair vengeance RAM DDR3 @ 2k MHz And to answer any future questions I know Ill probably get, yes I use NMM (exclusively) yes I use Wyre Bash, Yes I use BOSS log for load order and yes I use TES5Edit to troubleshoot. TBH I have no Idea where to go from here I've tried several clean installs each time completely wiping my skyrim directory from my HDD. I would really appreciate any help in this matter, I really want to get back into skyrim especially with redguard potentially coming out soon
