  1. Okay, so I have an idea for a mod, and would like some opinions on how to put it together. Basically, what I want to do is have a lesser power that, when an enemy is hit with it, causes a detect life effect on that enemy alone for X amount of seconds. Basically it would be an enemy tagging system. I want to make this myself, this isn't a disguised mod request, I'm just not sure how to go about it. Would anyone be able to set me on the right track? I gather I'd need to use a projectile style shout such as throw voice, and change the impact effects so that, when an actor is hit, they have the detect life effect added to them? I don't know.
  2. Hi all, Would someone be able and/or willing to put together a mod that makes it so that when khajiit have fists/claws equipped, they're always in an open claw position? (Like when you swing them) And on the same line, would that some person be able or willing to make a mod that allows the claws style of unnarmed to be used by all races?
  3. I was talking in regards to replies to posts. You might notice I'm not the OP.
  4. I know you're not supposed to bump but I would really like to get an opinion on this idea, and a yes or no as to whether it's possible to make this -- and where I should start.
  5. Hope you're trolling.
  6. It always happens. I've almost given up posting in this forum because no one ever replies to my threads, not even to say "This is good" or "Not that good". Just put like "have sex with elizabeth from bioshock" as the title, but keep this as the request. Then people will look at it. It's pathetic, but it seems to be the way this forum works.
  7. @ stavors Man, unless it's got something to do with women or nudity, modders rarely pick it up. I've seen so many good ideas get ignored, it's bad. But this is a cool idea, and I would do it if I knew how to, 100%
  8. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23974 Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but it's all I could think of when I read this.
  9. It would be cool if there were scribes and writers sitting at desks in inns and taverns, and if you pay them 5 gold they will scribe (save) your journey so far, and you can't save from the menu. You can also find them wandering the wilds. I feel it would make everything you do feel a lot more permanent, and fear of failure is an actual thing.
  10. So, here is the premise: 1. Telekinesis is a silent spell, and the player can use objects thrown with it to distract enemies. 2. Casting runes is silent, allowing for more dynamic placement of traps. They're also more powerful. 3. The player now has a lesser power that allows them to mark enemies (the enemy gets a quest-like marker above their head, and has the detect life effect on them) This effect will wear off after one minute, or when the enemy is defeated. 4. Dropped meat will attract nearby wildlife. Mixed with telekinesis, this can help the player avoid confronting powerful animals such as bears or sabre cats, or allow the player to lure predators into groups of enemies to fight for them. Any takers?
  11. Alright, thanks very much for the information.
  12. I'm trying to create a well lit dungeon, with all light sources coming from torches and ceiling holes. Lights keep turning themselves off when I test the dungeon though. I am assuming this is because I have too many individual light sources. So I was curious as to how many individual, shadow casting light sources one can have in the same radius/area, and if there is a way to increase that maximum?
  13. Man, I loved that game. Classic black humour, interesting gameplay and progressive character power. Lots of exploration, and an interesting story. Now, I would be in on helping 100% if someone was willing to start working on this. Skyrim has quite a few assets that could be recycled for it, and the gameplay style in third person shouldn't be too hard to mould into that of medievil. Theoretically. Anyway, I would LOVE to see this.
  14. It can be done, I have done it. If you download this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13286 (Personalized music) And you have the fable soundtrack, which you can get from here: http://www.downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/fable-original-soundtrack You can use the "No vanilla music" Esp with the mod to make the skyrim soundtrack a fable soundtrack instead. It will not erase any of the original soundtrack -- however you will have to convert the entire fable soundtrack to .WAV in order for it to work, which is pretty easy if you have format factory. You can get Format Factory here: http://www.pcfreetime.com/download.html It only takes about 5 - 10 minutes to set the whole thing up. Hope this helps
  15. I was thinking more like the adaptive ledge climbing in this game. There is no animation, just camera movement to imply a climbing action. I'm not sure how it would work, but I like to think that there would be a way to detect a flat surface close to the facing direction of the camera, which would trigger a prompt to press Jump to climb on top of said ledge.
  16. I often found that having a house in game had little benefit other than a place to dump all the things that you'll forget to sell later, so I had an idea that might change it up, and make player homes for more appealing -- and necessary. Basically, You can only equip/carry one piece of armour for each body part at a time. You cannot pick more up once you are wearing some. You can drop the armour you are wearing to take an enemies, but that means you'll have to run it back to your house, and then trek out again in the nude to find your old gear. With weapons, you can only have at one time: 1 Bow 1 - 2 Daggers 2 one handed weapons/1 two handed weapon (they occupy the same slot) 50 Arrows And then potions: 5 Health based potions 5 Magicka Based potions 5 Buff potions 5 Poisons So whenever you want to use new or different gear, you have to go home and grab it from your armoury. Now, when dungeon diving, the loot chests will LITERALLY be loot, so you'll find gold, gems, lockpicks, ingots, ores -- things you can sell (Or Create!) for hefty profit. You'll have a carry weight of 30, but weapons, armour and potions no longer weigh anything, so this weight that you can carry is pretty much just your loot bag. The only weapons and armour you can get are from stores and quests. When you purchase something from the store, it's sent straight to your houses "delivery" chest (essentially a mailbox) and this chest is shared across all the player homes. Houses will all be given multiple weapon racks an mannequins to store your items on. I mean, you could still use storage chests, but I like the idea of actually having an amoury. So when you get home and want to change gear, you store the armour and weapons you're already using, then grab the gear you want to use next. Boom, player homes are now quite a pleasure to have. Before you have a home, you can permanently rent out a room in the sleeping giant inn, which will have one mannequin and one weapon rack that can hold 3, one delivery chest and one storage chest. Use this until you have earned enough $$$ to get a house. SO, that is the idea. Now I would ask the question, is this all possible, and if so, how would I go about doing it? (If no one is interested enough to try if for themselves)
  17. I quite like the idea. Adds a survival mechanism without too many on-screen messages or being too invasive, and implements an easy way to monitor yourself. +1
  18. ^ This. I play as male and female about equal, but in rpg's I like to play as light, nimble athletic characters. Males in rpg's are usually wider than my house, and are animated like it too. If I could play as a male character that had the physique and animation of say... Cole McGrath? Then I would play exclusively as a male character. But as it stands, it doesn't make sense to me to be jumping across clifftops or climbing rooftops or sneaking around as a guy who literally weighs 110kg in muscle.
  19. I never understood cure paralysis potions -- how can you drink it? You're paralyzed.
  20. Yeah it would be cool if there was an adventurers' faction hall, and each of the characters there fit an archetype (assassin, warrior, mage, etc) and when you talk to them there is an option like "You take the reins" or something, and when selected the view switches to the other character, and the character you were just playing as commences idle animations in the hall until you return, or you can recruit them as a follower.
  21. I greatly support this. You can actually get a fairly immersive effect like that by using a mod called "the joy of perspective", which also gives you a body. However, it is a beta, and is only compatible with females currently (typically). Anyway, yes, I really love a heavy head-bobbing in games, so I second this request.
  22. Could someone make a mod where the player will make a grunt (like when you swing a weapon non-power-attack), and this would occur 2-3 out of 5 jumps? Just a little immersive thing I would like to see :)
  23. Hello, I'm wanting to make a quest similar in nature to "the stones of barenziah" quest; where the player is required to collect all items in order to complete the quest. I'm going to have about fifteen collectible items scattered around whiterun (all the same type of item), but I'm not sure how to script it so that the player has to have a certain amount before he can hand the quest in. Could someone help me out please? I'm very new to scripting.
