  1. Civ 5 is not real time strategy. It's turn-based.
  2. Luckily most of us no longer play games on calculators, so the 50 - 100mb RAM it uses doesn't bother us. Why should I be bothered about the paltry resources Origin uses when my PC has 7.9GB more RAM to make use of?
  3. Blizzard. (I really shouldn't have to say more.)
  4. The only thing I feel when I watch Angry Joe reviews is the desire to punch him in his gonads. Can't stand that guy.
  5. This game simply cannot compare to the original Xcom. It was a fun game, but it is already irrelevant. The 'modern' changes have changed the game in such a way that once you've played through the game once, there's really very little reason to play again because you've already seen everything the game has to offer. The more freeform nature of the original Xcom, including the tactical aspects and the actual battles, allowed for a lot of diversity which is sadly lacking in this game. I'm still playing Xcom today and I'm still discovering new things. The new Xcom couldn't even hold my interest for more than a month.
  6. It would have been a fun game for $10, but it is most certainly not worth $50.
  7. I don't get it, though. The epilogue and its over-abundance of QTEs sucked, but after that it feels pretty much like any other RE game (barring the first two, which were leagues better than anything that came after). Even if it's the weakest one in the series (which I don't think it is), it's not a bad game.
  8. I've been playing it since Sunday and I haven't had any issues yet. Actually been enjoying it a lot more than I did RE5.
  9. Yeah, but that would defy the point a bit. I want a dialog system in which you can scroll back up through the conversation like we had in Morrowind. http://i45.tinypic.com/15i3rd4.jpg That's one of my favorite things about Morrowind. I don't know how it can be done in Skyrim. However, if you're looking to learn how to use the Creation Kit I'd suggest you check out the Enclave at http://tesalliance.org Tell 'em Tiger sent you. Thanks, I'll go have a look around there.
  10. If you want a decent F2P game that's like Fallout, try the Fallen Earth MMO. It's not perfect, but it's better than most F2P games.
  11. Hi guys and girls, Zewp here. I have for a while now entertained the idea of doing a complete overhaul of the Skyrim dialog system, but I'm a bit stuck on the main aspect of my idea. I'm going to come right out and say it, I don't have an idea how the Construction Set works. Absolutely none at all. But I am more than willing to learn. So, basically what I need to know is would it be possible to rip out Skyrim's dialog system entirely and replace it in its entirety with a text-based dialog system like the one Morrowind uses? This is basically the main 'platform' for my mod idea. If this is not possible, my mod idea is not possible. To brief you on what my mod idea is; I want to do an almost complete overhaul of Skyrim with the dialog being the main driving force behind it. No quests or lore will be changed and all the current dialog will still be in the overhaul, but it will all be text-based. Together with the current content, I want to flesh out the amount of dialog options and content in the game such as we had in Morrowind, where you could often have conversations with a single NPC spanning pages of written text. This will be the first stage of my mod. After this has been done, I want to start adding things to the game world itself; new quests, map markers, landmarks etc. This new content will be implemented in such a way that the only way to complete the quests, find the locations/artifacts will be through talking to NPCs and getting clues about the whereabouts of interesting characters, objectives, items etc. In other words, the content is aimed at people who enjoy not being led around by the nose and who prefer finding things themselves. As you can imagine, the idea for this mod is a pretty huge undertaking and if it is possible to do, it will likely take me months or maybe even years of work. I do not really think I will ever stop entirely. I might just decide to continue adding content until people either stop playing the mod or stop playing Skyrim. But unfortunately, unless a text-based dialog system can be implemented, this mod is not possible. At least, not with the scope I have in mind. So that's where I need the help of more knowledgeable modders who might be able to tell me whether what I have in mind is possible, or perhaps even team up with someone and work together on creating the dialog system.
