Just my two cents on this. It seems odd that they would name one of there DLC's Redguard since they already used that for one of their Elder Scrolls Adventues titles. -
What abotu a legendary Dragonbone Dagger?

I said you weren't, and was explaining that we could come into conflict (basing that off a few discussions with anarchists at the Marxism Conference). Oh i'm sorry I didn't intend to misrepresent you. it was a miscocneption on my part.
-
Where is the Empire oprating out of these days?I wouldn't mind seeing Northern or Central Cyrodiil in a DLC myself
-
actually i'm not a marxist. I'm an individualist anarchist. This doesn't preclude marxism mind you it jsut doesn't necessitate it. many forms of voluntary orginization could exist under it including a marist community. so long as all particpents are willing and fully consensual.

True. Truth is usually found on the middle ground and you appear to be an enlightened individual. Alright then, well... I have been working my arse off all weekend doing things around the house and now, I'm going to go out and try to live a little before going back to hell tomorrow. You guys have a good one! Oh and one more thing. It appears that this is a Stormcloak friendly forum. This is a place where they can get their point out and people can understand the Stormcloaks and what they're about. Seriously. Here, it's like we're all little fish and even though I'm down with the Empire, I do respect the Stormcloaks and there is some good they accomplish. By restoring Talos worship, they do something the Empire so far has been unable to accomplish. Ulfric does serve as a uniting force in Skyrim, like Anska had said earlier. Ulfric, while a bit of a cowardly lion, will stand and fight at the end of the day, even if he sends his army instead of himself, I guess that's better than doing nothing at all, which of course when you're in such a desperate situation, doing something is better than doing nothing at all. The Stormcloaks fight for their lives, homes and each other, although if they win, Skryim's gonna have some social problems, but the Nords are in the majority and Elves started the war, so in a way I can understand their feelings. Jarl Baalgruff though ~ I'm still down with that cat. He allows freedom of speech and open Talos worship and he's more interested in stopping the Dragons than the Civil War. I cannot abide anyone attacking Whiterun in the name of "liberty". That's crazy and you know it. If Whiterun doesn't want to be "ruled" by either side, that's their business. This is also where I diverge from the Stormcloaks and become an Imperial. No one, not one "liberator" looking for freedom would open his intro scene with: Galmar: "If he's not with us, he's against us." Ulfric: "He knows that. They all know that." Galmar: "How long are you going to wait?" Ulfric: "You think I need to send Balgruuf a stronger message." Galmar: "If by message you mean shoving a sword through his gullet." Ulfric: "Taking his city and leaving him in disgrace would make a more powerful statement, don't you think?" Galmar: "So we're ready to start this war in earnest then?" Ulfric: "Soon." Galmar: "I still say you should take them all out like you did Deadking Torygg." Ulfric: "Torygg was merely a message to the other Jarls. Whoever we replace them with will need the support of our armies." Galmar: "We're ready when you are." Ulfric: "Things hinge on Whiterun. If we can take the city without bloodshed all the better. But if not..." That's an excerpt from the entire dialogue, there's no reason what so ever to attack Whiterun other than to force people into your way of thinking. Diplomacy wasn't even an option on the table, they're just ready to go. So no, I could go on and on and on and on, but threatening your neighbors who are living in an free, autonomous state just because they're not "free" under your rule, is Tyranny and is no better than being subjugated by the Dominion. Had Ulfric been more reasonable and actually "respected" another ruler in Skyrim, as two free "peoples", than I'd be a Stormcloak today. He didn't, he's not capable of respecting anyone else who will not fall down and go bowing before his majesty and I have no more time to discuss this. "For the Glory of the Empire!" http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ulfric_Stormcloak that argument works well for both sides. do you want the local flavour of dictatorship or the national flavour? also, the Stormcloaks didn't restore Talos worship in Skyrim. Nords all over Skyrim were happily worshipping Talos privately and ignoring the terms of the WGC. it is only when Ulfric makes a big fuss about it, attracts the attention of the Thalmor (I still think he was brainwashed to do this) and gets arrested that the Thalmor have the excuse they've been looking for to go into Skyrim and enforce the ban on Talos. These points are what make the civil war tricky for me. I am simply not one who is content with a freedom to choose one oppressive regime or another. at a first glance the Stormcloaks seamed less oppressive but form a purely gameplay perspective the Empire had the more interesting choice of Jarls. if I'm right you can kill Ulfric after a Stormcloak victory and create a power vacume at the top just as you can kill Titus Mede to attain the same result.
-
I never said I supported Ulfric and his oppressive regime now did I?
-
Trusting the empire to protect the freedom of the individual and to not become at least as oppressive as the Stormcloaks is the real naive idealism. Compremising liberty never gets you anything but oppression. After the empire caved in to the Thalmor on this matter who is to say they would not cave further? That they would not beocme at least as oppressive as the Stormcloaks.

Welcome aboard! Yeah, I'm not even going to go there because it will turn into a fire-fight. All I'm going to say, is... you want to get to know both factions real well before throwing down a post like that. The Imperials... we look bad because of Emperor Mede, ok? Judging the entire Empire by just what one or two people have done is very short-sighted. This can also apply to the Stormcloaks. Indeed, I've known some people in my lifetime who have started out with nothing at all, being pressed and publicly scourged, then later on they turn around and do great things because what happened before wasn't their fault. If trying to save Talos's Empire rather than just start killing good Legionares makes me weak or sissy, then go ahead and call me that. Showing understanding and trying to reach a compromise on something shows far greater leadership than, "Oh well, we're going to rape Whiterun for no other reason whatsoever and shove a sword thru the Jarls' gullet." Ok? At least the Empire is like, "Hey dude, that Ulfric is trying to take you out! Don't believe us? Fine. Call the Empire just before he tries to burn your city to the ground..." Compromise!? Those who would sacrifice essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both. One does not compromise with a regime that wants to take away your freedom.

Oh boy, this post just reeks of arrogance and dishonesty. Racism is the dislike of others based purely on racial stereotypes, so yes they are racist according to the very description you just gave. Imperials are religious fanatics? Are you kidding me? The Stormcloaks are far more fanatical. They are the ones starting a war over their religion in the first place, remember? The Empire isn't driving a holocaust against Talos worshippers, the Thalmor are. You don't see Imperial soldiers marching people off to be tortured, that's the Thalmor. So just because you call the guy Ulfric killed "weak" suddenly he's not a murderer? Ulfric's mentality for Skyrim is his way or the highway. That's precisely what a dictator is. The battle he fought was neither far nor a just cause. It was an easy means for Ulfric to get Ulfric more power. Ulfric is racist, you're the only Stormcloak supporter with the audacity to pretend otherwise because it's pretty blatantly obvious. If the elves in HIS OWN CITY live poorly then damn right it's his fault, he's the jarl and the well-being of the people in his city is his responsibility. It is his fault the Argonians aren't allowed in the city, that's a government policy and Ulfric IS the government. If everyone who stands for "Skyrim" (which actually just means is one of Ulfric's goons) can be a Stormcloak, why is there virtually no non-Nords in his army except for the Dragonborn? Oh ALL Imperials are cowards? But ALL Stormcloaks are brave righteous warriors? Give the generaliztion and stereotyping a break please. The Great War was the Imperials fighting for their beliefs. Unfortunately they didn't win. Somehow you're gonna hold that against them? As I've said earlier, freedom is useless to the dead. You basically just brought up all the weakest Stormcloak talking points that your own side doesn't even use because they know better. Wow, I never realized how seriouys a pollitical debae this could become.

I got Stormcloak on that one but I am a bit unsure about their aggressive tendencvies and racism to be honest.

I'm sorry but that's just a tired strawman of anarchism. Most anarchists favor the nonaggression princaple and individual liberty Please do not conflate anarchy iwth chaos as they are not the same thing. Chill out dude. I'm not making any kind of serious comment on your life views. I'm sorry, was I being hostile? I didn't intend to be. This is just a misconception I encoutner often and I wanted to clear it up to the best of my ability without hostility.

I think the game is waiting for me to choose a side . . .

I'm ahving toruble wiht this choice to be honest. I'm not sure which one best alignes with my personal libertarian/anarchist views for one. which would abide by voluntaryism and the non aggression princaple.

Are there any mods that make smelthing, tanning, and cooking contribute to related skills?
-
Speech has always been the most annoying skill to grind since bartering is a remarkably slow process I'm looking for mods to add more ways to level speech quickly. Please nobody suggest consol commands
-
Any mod that adds more persuasion options that's not so...squicky?
-
I'd really rather not use console commands except for a last resort. I generally preferr grinding and in game exploits because it has thew ilusion of being more "legit". Anybody have any suggestions of how to grind speech without the console?
-
and thus why I never used the USKP but now bethesda seems to ahve "fixewd" it which has become qutie thew thorn in my side.
-
In my recent game I tried to invoke the Riften speech exploit. But the dialogue vanishes. Was this fixed in a recent patch or is it because i am usign the unofficial Dawngaurd patch?
-
I posted this in troubleshooting recently and posted it in somebody elses thread in htis board who also seemed to ahve the problem but, whenever I Kill Harkon on the vampire side Garen Merethi shows up as he should but then is followed by Isran who attacks. I also don't gain ownership of Lord Harkon's querters. Here is my load order Masters for: Save 2475 - Shido Kage Forgotten Vale 58.18.09.ess I tried installing the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch before initiationg Kindred Judgement but that doesn't seem to ahve worked either. Is there any reliable means to track the scripts that could be leading upt ot his bug or something? Any known fix?

I've had this very same bug It's making the vampire side pretty much unplayable.
