    completley random CTD, i feel lost and helpless.

    i literally have no idea what to do, ive tried everything that i know how to im my modding experience so im obviouslly missing something, please oh great hive mind of nexus deliver me from my skyrimsuffering

     

    CTD's are completley random, no rhyme nor reason, im assuming its micro incompatabilities within mods that dont show up in loot or something similar. i am lost when it comes to non loot load order manipulation, especially with the number of mods i have installed.

     

    maybe im missing compatabilitiy patches?? maybe there are hard incompatabilities that im just not noticing? the game runs great except when it doesnt, and i just dont see a pattern?

     

    is it too much to ask for someone to take a look at my load order and see if im missing an important patch, or if im doing something very wrong? the game is unstable from a brand new game, so its not an issue of scrips being broken or orphaned, maybe a sound file trying to play and not being able to?

     

    any help at all is apriciated.

    LOOT only shows 2 errors, JK's and OCS, but i have the patch for them so it should work. but it still wont launch SKSE without OCS or any of the patches installed either, so its not that specific "conflict"

    so i had this problem before, and i dont think i ever fixed it, so ill link that if anyone wants to check out another post, but its happening again, and i truly cant find out how to locate the issue,

    unfortunately that was not it, as i said, it was an older mod where you could melt things down and convert components to other components while being reasonably balanced.

     

    it all happened from a components menu in the chemistry station, and i think it was from wither a crafting overhaul or a chemistry overhaul, i just cant remember which.

     

    the mod you linked looks cool, but unfortunately not the one i was trying to locate.

    I know this mod exists because ive used it before, and i loved it, but i cant for the life of me remember what in the world it was called.

     

    it lets you break down components into others (such as melting down springs into steel) and also create components (such as ceramic from glass, concrete from steel and ceramic, fiber optics from crystal, ect.)

    I just figured out the answer to this, and decided to post my findings here rather than a new thread since this thread is one of the first results on a Google search. Apologies if this counts as "necroing" the thread.

     

    1. when viewing the page for the Nexus mod you wish to download, make note of the first bits of the URL following nexusmods.com including: /*game*/mods/*modID*/

    2. go the the mod's files page, hover over the "download manually" link for the file you want, and make note of the number at the end of the URL displayed in your browser's status bar.

    3. Select "Add mod from URL" in NMM and combine the info from previous steps into a format like the example in NMM's prompt. For example, to download the latest and greatest Capnbubs' Accessories for XCOM 2, I would type in:

     

    nxm://xcom2/mods/116/files/1658

    well for starters, its consistent on older characters too, and USSEP is where its at for another reason that im not really getting in to, its a mess if its not.

     

    i can try a memory patch, but ill get to that in a sec,

     

    everything is right as it is straight out of loot, but i suppose i can move some stuff around too, im not quite looking for load order maintenance, and im 99.99% sure this isnt related to the brawl bug fix : :tongue:

     

    i assume by big city editing mods you mean OCS? because if so wouldnt that no have an effect as the riften jail is an interior cell with the only link to OCS being the load door?

     

    aditionally, immersive NPCs is compatible with both cutting room floor AND OCS, so i doubt that would be an issue

    essentially whats going on is that i enter the riften jail to do a quest, and i crash about 4 seconds past the load door.

     

    i actually get in the cell enough to look around for a little bit, and then it crashes afterwards.

     

    i can pause the game and postpone the crash for a good while, but the second i un-pause, i crash out.

     

    sometimes i can walk all the way up to the second door by the guard, but i can never go past that.

     

    additionally, i can get myself arrested and get in that way, but that changes nothing.

     

     

    from what i understand, its not a riftenjail01 cell issue, but something wrong with something IN the jail that i cant figure out...

     

    (this is also the first time i visited riften in this playthrough)

    alright;

    yes i cleaned knights esp, however it would not launch prior to cleaning either

     

    i did not actually try to launch the game without mods.... so i can deffinatley try that...

     

    game is installed on external SSD

     

    i can try setting obse to run as admin, but i have not tried that yet

     

    but for now i can do the whole "uninstall and reinstall slowly meathod" (i was planning on doing that, but it was 3am and i didnt have time :P)

    this is my first time getting into oblivion and i'm really looking forward to it.

     

    i have very few mods installed, and i have the script extender installed and running, however once the scrip extender window pops up, the game stops responding, and is forced to quit

     

    EDIT:(probably should add that i am running the GOTY edition through the steam launcher per ovse's instructions)

     

    loot is showing no warnings or errors and i have cleaned all my masters, any ideas on what is still left to do?

     

    i am also using windows 10, so i'm really hoping it will still work with that....

    are you playing with limitless survival activations mod? I don't think rule breaker is set to deal with that, so as stupid as it sounds, even if you aren't try turning hunger to on and tell me what happens?

    no i am not using that mod, i uninstalled rulebreaker to replace it with survival options, so i would assume the problem is residual settings or scripts conflicting, is there a way yet to clean them out of the save? i understand we do not have a good way of cleaning saves yet for fallout 4 (that i know of)

     

    i hear visiting a doctor may fix the issues, but im unsure if that is true or not, i will have to test that once i get to a city (im also suffering from the fast travel bug, but i cant fix it with any of the fixes (im fine using coc)

    for some reason, when I changed over from rulebreaker to survival options, i am no longer able to remove hunger and thirst from my character, no matter how much food or water i drink.

    i still loose hunger and thirst, but im not able to get "un-hungry/thirsty"

     

    the weird thing is i can still sleep to become un-tired

     

    is there either a console command that sets those variables, back to 0, or one that resets that system to hopefully "reboot" the hunger and thirst back to 0?

     

    or a fix would be cool too if thats available :P

    i have reached the mod limit (255 plugins) and i am unable to load any more mods. this is super annoying because about 40% of my plugins are individual patches to make armor keywords, see-trough-scopes, and similar mods to work with my standalone weapons. how can i either get rid of these plugins, or make them all one single plugin instead of being 50+ random bs that is tanking up plugin space

     

    im not a new modder per-se, but im not super skilled either, (i have dabbled in xEdit to modify values, but beyond that, im not quite sure what to do.)

     

    i understand there is supposedly a mod on the skyrim nexus that is supposed to do this automatically, but im not sure how to get it working at all. (it dosent recognize fallout 4 existing.)

    and i dont see any unusual numbers in FO4Edit, but i can do some more looking

     

    Load all your mods and open companions can sneak and select Nicks records, if you can see them. On the right panel it should show you how many mods edit same NPC, including original Fallout .esm.

     

     

    I load it up and i have nothing conflicting with it other than the Fallout4.esm, so i dont see how that could develop a problem, however, when i remove CCS, i get no face error (that i see so far)

     

    not sure what the problem origionally was, but since im not really playing a sneaky character, so im not against disabling the mod...

     

    i would have to do a few more hours of testing to see if the error pops back up again, however the only thing out of any of my mods that effects nick's records is that mod. so im not sure what else it could have been

    I just had to come here to see the pic. Totally worth it :laugh:

     

    As for the issue, do you have any mods editing NPC stats/outfits/dialogue/facial? Having more than one mod for one NPC (even when it tweaks only some numbers), might cause a face bug. I'm guessing that for someone with synthetic face it must look something like your screenshot. Load your mods in FO4edit and check for conflicts.

    the only thing i can see is the companions can sneak mod, and thats it, im not sure what effect that would have on his face, and i dont see any unusual numbers in FO4Edit, but i can do some more looking

    Try posting your load order.

     

    In the meantime, update any UI mods you're using (or remove them to see if that's in fact the problem) and try setting all your keybindings to their defaults.

    activation bug (companions and workshop)

    currently i am unable to heal any of my companions (survival mode), and workshop building is very annoying because of some error with activators only having 1 option

     

    currently the only options i have for companions is "R) go home" or "R) come on" (they swap when i click R)

    and with the workshops it only lets me "E) Search"

    when i activate the only option on the workshop (search) it brings up the inventory overlay and the building overlay at the same time (this can be worked around by doing a convoluted mes, but its still part of the problem)

    has anyone seen this before? and does anyone have any clue how to fix this? its passed the point of being annoying, and has moved to game breaking
