  1. dragonlove, sorry for the late reply. I meant to get back here days ago, but, well... life. For the record, the mod that provides a racemenu interface for targeted npcs and followers is Manipulator. You will have to search offsite from nexus to find the mod. (LL)
  2. a low level fix would be to find and change the registry setting left over from the original install. switch "D:\" to whatever the new drive letter is. Otherwise I'm not sure.
  3. start here https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?c=4040,4045 select the third option in the second set of fora links, labeled "Skyrim Special Edition Mod Requests"
  4. ?Last night? (possibly the night before), steam issued an update for the steam program itself (not the game) . FWIW... I was fortunately in offline mode already, so I allowed it to update itself. When it came back it asked me if I wanted to go online, I chose no. Skyrim still worked fine.
  5. As a quick followup to the advise you received, any time FNIS is updated (ie the program, not every time FNIS runs), you'll want/need to run generatefnisforusers.exe following the update to initialize FNIS
  6. Afaik, yes. Can't recall the mod used for that though. ** possibly "NPC Visual Transfer Tool".
  7. Thanks for the reply Ishara. Ah well... I guess it's time for me to whip out the pad and pencil so I can figure out what's what.
  8. AFAIK, each ENB is an overlay, (and some only interact with certain items), so depending on load order it could mean completely overwriting or just modifying the response of an earlier ENB load. Better is subjective. I'm using Vivid Landscapes and Dolomite weathers, although I don't remember the load order on those two.
  9. I was thinking similarly, but having played with text-to-voice for several years, (actually a couple decades), what I've personally found is that where it fails is in vocal expression!, ie, emotive abilities. Admittedly, it can, to some degree be mitigated by various inflection tricks in the source text document it reads/translates, but it's been hit or miss in my experience. And ime, those edits can be incredibly tedious more for some than others, but most "cool" voices (ie, not MS Sam) are even more so. Perhaps it's gotten better. Although their posted examples don't give me a great deal of hope. I do agree though, that in the long run it may be "the way" to the future.
  10. Afaik there is at least one mod that allows partial use of racemenu on followers and NPCs. It's either BOSSE, Lazy Tools, Manipulator, or another, although I can't recall which. When I boot my game later tonight I'll try to remember to check and hopefully report back here with what I found. (I suspect it's Manipulator but don't want to send you down the wrong rabbit hole) However, while I know it works (to some degree), at least while changing parameters, I have some sort of a hotkey conflict that prevents saving the results, even though the same button works fine when saving a "normal" showracemenu result. (I use M4 on a logitech mouse) And ftr, in case you just need simple changes, Lazy Tools allows modify certain aspects, body weight, scale, and gross proportions (breast and butt size, waist thickness...) , but none of the fine detail we see within racemenu or bodyslide, athough with the few things it can do, it does apply to either a targeted NPC, follower, or the player, as long as they're modifiable bodies in the first place. (some appear to be immune to any change). It also provides other interesting features, but I'll leave them to you if you're interested enough to download it. I'll be back when I can with that info re: direct racemenu use later on tonight or tomorrow.
  11. Is there a method for listing (easily) all the assigned hotkeys in game, or a file I should be looking for that stores the assigned hotkey definitions?
  12. Ok. well, Waterview near Riften has around 40 or 50 plots along with 8 or ten plantable pots (pots, not plots) . Waterview Cyrodil has around 10 or 15 less plots (I think due to its location...slightly different layout and growing abilities...the one near riften allows growing "normal" items like veggies, flowers, and fungals, as well as fruit trees and all the WV things like raspberries, blackberries, coffee, etc). Each also has locked, respawning floral/fungal plantings to add to the harvest, although they seem to respawn a little slower than the garden plots (garden plots respawn - are re-harvestable - after ~2 game days) But if that's not enough (along with all the other benefits that LeianneG brought to the party with those mods) ... well... good luck to you. In any case, to be thorough, here's some overview promo links (youtube) that *might make you change your mind. Waterview RIften - https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=UFL4wmdP-NQ https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17500 Waterview Cyrodil - https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=-B1CIy1znZ4 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12537 PS> AFAIK, they're both free (or donationware anyway) ... At least as "free as any other nexus type mod. The Riften area one I downloaded just after installing Skyrim for the first time and got it from the Steam or Bethesda, (not sure which), and the Cyrodil version I downloaded from Nexus.
  13. Have you gone back through your saves to find one that doesn't misbehave? I had to 'back-peddle' my level 52 character to level 16 (ie slowly going through the myriad of saves until I found one that worked without issue) before I got things sorted out after the 1.5.80/2.0.16 (and all the other mods that were updated) update. A new character (now level 34) I created during the interim has experienced zero issues (aside from a very small number of CTDs) And the original character has been played from 16 up to level 30 and is also not experiencing any "hanky panky" either.
  14. One thing you might try is using Fallrim Tools to purge garbage. See the mod for instruction. FallrimTools - Script cleaner and more I lost my level 52 player after the 1.5.80/2.0.16 update due to similar load/save CTDs, and after wasting almost a week battling it, finally created a new character and fell back to an old save (level 16) for my original character that didn't have any errors.
  15. Sorry, You're absolutely right. My apologies.
  16. I've noticed similar oddities to those you listed in your last reply. Some armor works, some doesn't. And for whatever reason, my female character has far less bounce than the "unique" followers and NPCs. (could possibly be something to do with the model I'm using (DM-athletic ), but tbh, I'm not sure. As far as racemenu is concerned, I'm experiencing the same issue, although in that case, it appears to be something that changed in racemenu following the 1.5.80/2.0.16 updated mod. Not sure what's going on, but something's wrong. Racemenu no longer works for CBBE adjustments to the body. (I *can change hair color and facial characteristics though) For bodyslide, have you updated to the latest version (4.74)? And are you using the 64-bit exe ?
  17. CBPC - CBP Physics with collisions for SE and VR works fine right out of the box, although I'll admit I simply use Vortex to install and manage my mods, instead of working old-school with MO. PS> the current version of CBPC-CBP is 1.1.9, so I'm a bit puzzled when you indicate you're using v0.22/0.25. It sounds to me like you're trying to force feed SE with oldrim mods. Good luck! OH, and PS. It *does require two ancillaries. Fores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE both of which must be the SE versions.
  18. Like I said, I get it. In fact, even when I work with CBBE bodyslide because it seems like the "modern" way, I still think that many of the immutable UNP mods are more beautiful. Especially in terms of faces and fwiw, breast topography. CBBE based faces are difficult to tweak properly, and breasts in CBBE have some sort of weird collar-bone thing going on (all of them) that generally precludes a natural slope to the breasts. So I do get that aspect. But UNP is very limited in choice, in quality (most I've seen appear to be using very low resolution "meshes" , making for blocky looking graphics), and a limited ability to be modified. I'd also like to reiterate...I'm a newb to skyrim. I have very limited personal abilities to tweak bodyslides, but with time it gets better. It's all a matter of sticking your feet in the water. Until you do that, well, damn, everyone drowns in water, don't they? Long and short if it is that there are a ton of UNP followers and companions available, and if you want their body/face for your character, there are utils like NPC Visual Transfer (search on Nexus under sse) that can help you accomplish that.
  19. Understood. Well, there *are UNP "models" available and posted with some regularity (at least conversions from oildrim), and I suppose you could always convert oldrim UNP follower/companion mods to SE if you have the skills.
  20. For *one potential solution, you can use console (~) and enter player.setav carryweight (N) where N is a value that will increase your carry limit to a value above your current load. ex: current carry weight is 4538 (and no, that's not a typo. I am currently carrying around 7K weight on one of my characters) Enter player.setav carryweight 5000 Alternatively, there's a mod called "expedition necklace" (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19386) that adds a 9K boost to one's load limit, if you're not adverse to such a boost due to some personal "immersivity" contention.
  21. I can't offer a direct solution, but I can point you to the most efficient manner to find out more from other players who have experienced a similar issue open a new instance of your browser, then type or paste the following text into the address bar skyrim winking skeever CTD I got a slew of directly related posts dating back as far as 2015 or earlier on the issue, although I have not personally experienced it and admittedly did not investigate it further. Best of luck.
  22. I'm not sure. It's easy enough for a newb like me to understand how racemenu type ordering (ie, overlay tones, tattoos, makeup, hair, etc) works, but at least for me, being relatively new, it's way fuzzier when it comes to patch stuff. Although... in general, patches should be done last conceptually (In programming, a patch usually is apllied *over - ie, after - an existing piece of code that it is augmenting or repairing), unless when the patch is required to ensure some other "newer" mod works, since the newer mod was ostensibly coded with the presumption that the patch was already in place prior to encountering its code. I'm not super savvy on skyrim configuration nuances yet, so I rely mainly on Vortex telling me there's a contention, and surprisingly, so far (current load order is 204 items long), and afaik, without exception, recommending the correct or A correct course of action (blah vs blech... load blah before blech? (recommended)" to properly stack all the modules, along with reading the descriptions and requirements sections of mod download pages to "guess" when it doesn't provide a recommended load order. In my limited experience, the only time when it's a "A correct" rather than "the correct" is regarding when/how to load a group of enb or racemenu overlays (subjective) So, I have fiddled with a few race-menu enb load orders, but that's just asthetics, not code fixes. If you find that there's some weird contention like this USSEP issue you're apparently encountering, maybe contact the mod author(s) of the involved mod(s) and ask if there's possibly an undocumented or otherwise apriori-presumed requirement? (ie well, I assumed that everyone knew they needed..."
  23. Not to argue against such a mod, but land is at a premium in skyrim, due to the compressed land-space required to make this all work and the highly varying topography that results. . My two waterview homes (one near Riftken, the other in Cyrodil), produce an amount of ingredients and food that is more than I can possibly eat and sell, and afaik, the number of plant-able plots exceeds that of any "farm" I can think of, and with far less occupied space. And as long as you don't clear the plot between harvests, they respawn every few days (same goes with caves and dungeons for shrooms) . As well, wildfolowers, berries, etc respawn, although admittedly they seem to respawn a bit slower than either natural shrooms or gardened veggies/etc This is in addition to farming the food that grow in the wild, ie shrooms and florals. So... is it just an immersivity thing, where you want a better working analog to the "real world", or is it about quantity? I find myself literally giving away produce to vendors (ex: sell N units of cabbage to Carlotta until she has no coin, then 'sell' her a hundred or so of various items at no cost), then buy some small fraction back just so she has more coin than she started with and out of virtual poverty... just to reduce my huge inventory. I'm curious how you're running into a shortage issue. I do think the idea is kinda cool, but with so few areas of skyrim that have flat space (or anything approaching flat space, (try finding a place to set up a "Large tent" or "Imperial tent", I find it incredibly frustrating myself) , (not to mention the lack of an active economy in skyrim, but that's another issue) I'm not sure how one would add arable farmland. Would it require re-sculpting the topography local to such a farm mod? fwiw... just trying to understand.
  24. I've been enjoying the "Wenches of Skyrim" quests lately. (ie, save the wenches who got abducted by slavers" quests) The number of badguys you're up against is actually challenging, even more than many true "dungeon" battles, and the (effective) bounty is far more than the stock "kill the dragon at... or kill the giant at..." rewards.. The only drawback is that Tamriel seems to be getting more and more populated by bland, cookie cutter thots. (imo, best done solely or with only one similarly leveled follower)
  25. Then I'd suggest running bodyslide on your nude male model to start. See if that resolves it both naked and clothed. if the first but not the second, then you'll need to process your clothing too.
