I am now receiving much faster faster downloads with my Free Membership using CDN, and that is while using the free WiFi my apartment building has. In fact, my slowest download over CDN was twice as fast as my average download speed over the old servers. What's best, I haven't had any corrupted downloads since the official switchover. :) Thanks, Dark0ne

There are quite a few people at the Steam Community Forums trying to say that NexusMods got hacked again. I have been telling them that the the download servers have been getting a little overloaded. A few days ago I couldn't download anything with NMM, but I did get a very slow download with the CDN server at 50 Kb a second. :D

In response to post #16954884. #16957054, #16977634, #17000409 are all replies on the same post. Darn, I hoped that would work. When you download NMM, click Save instead of Run. After it has downloaded, right click the installer and select run as admin. After it has installed, right click the shortcut and select Run as Admin again. That should give it permanent Admin status. If that doesn't work, I guess you will need to use Direct Download and use OBMM or Wyre Bash to install the mods. Wyre Bash is for advanced users, so don't use it if you are not a modder.

In response to post #16954884. No, the only thing I can think of is that the update was corrupted when it was downloaded, that has happened to me once. Just uninstall and make sure none of the folders get deleted, then come back here and download a new version. Good Luck

And to think, I paid full price for Oblivion on Steam last year. Well, full price was only $10.99 USD. :D

Virus scan reports now visible on file pages, more security incoming
Mok214 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
A hearty thank you goes out to VirusTotal for helping NexusMods stay safe and secure. As far as NexusMods users go, beware of "Required Files" that cannot be downloaded from NexusMods or other trusted servers. -
Steam sale and downloading issues prompts CDN expansion
Mok214 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Heh, the downloads are failing again. I guess this will take a few weeks to sort out. -
Steam sale and downloading issues prompts CDN expansion

This just proves that, "No plan survives contact with the enemy". Though, I am in no way implying that VALVe is the enemy. :p -
The site is majorly screwed up and has a bunch of MYSQL errors. How do I know this, I am using Google Chrome and all I can see is all the metadata. That means your site security is also down.

Manual download from any Salt Lake City server = File Does Not Exist Manual download from Seattle server with 65 users = Fast Download -
In response to post #11450049. BTW, it usually works in a few tries. Just be patient and don't forget which file you were trying to download.

re: Instead of clicking " Download with manager" click "download manually" on the file you want to download I tried that and got a file not found error. :D

That's why I use Fast Exit, it saves me from about six crashes a week.

In response to post #9404594. Yep, it is best to avoid the Salt Lake City servers for some reason. -

In response to post #9313723. #9314285 is also a reply to the same post. Yep, still going on after 14 hours after I first came across it. Hoping it is a server upgrade. -
Update on site work and NMM 0.50 around the corner
Mok214 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Everything has been coming up "File Does Not Exist" for the last eight hours, and it does not matter which server it comes from or if I use NMM or direct download. :( BTW, I have tried it both with Google Chrome and IE8, and no luck yet.
