  1. I just want to say 1. Fallout 4 recycle most of the stuff from Fallout 3, give it better graphics and settlement building. 2. Fallout 4 and Skyrim copies a lot of stuff from Might and Magic 5 and 6. 3. Fallout 5 if they use Liberty Prime for this game (THIRD TIME), the series is dead. 4. Nick Valentine saves mayor daughter, copies the plot from Fallout 1 (where you save Tandy from the Khans). 5. A lot of Fallout 4 stuff copies from other games. The more games I play, the more I know about copied stories. Might and Magic 6 is very very good game, beats Skyrim 10000 percent, hehehehehehe (I play Skyrim, and then I am the "Dragonborn"). Ya right, lame.
  2. Oh my god, Fallout 4 is so simple, if a person is beginner, just sneak and use your companion as a meat shield (they won't die as in Fallout 3). You can load back a save game even if you die. Even on survival mode, you can visit a doctor or use vertibird travel (which is fast travel but you need $$$ to buy the grenades). People cheat (which is okay to me). Then they boast about their "exploits" online. Why god, why? I cry. I cry a river. You wana boast, make sure you play almost all the famous mods in Nexus and level to 500 (without cheating). If you are watching and waiting for FO5 to come out, play Might and Magic 6 (that game is very similar to F04).
  3. A lot of people do not understand the Hong Kong crisis. 1. This is not a peaceful protests, I dun know whether I can post YT video links to the Nexus website. 2. This is a violent riot aimed at political color revolution to overthrow the "One country two systems". 3. If you dun believe me, you should go and visit HK. 4. Taxi drivers, bus drivers and old people are beaten up. 5. Massive vandalism and destruction of HK infrastructure (including MTR system, traffic lights and historical monuments). 6. If you dun know the issues, please dun blindly support the "Free HK" movement, go and visit HK yourself, interview at least 10 people. 7. If your country has democracy, and you love it, that is your business, please do not spread your "political system" to other country. I am Singaporean, I always hear people say our country is a dictatorship while we can go to elections. China has 1400 million people, they need to give them jobs, food, water and stability. Understand? It is not a simple job. Probably it is BEST IF PEOPLE MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS. 8. Most Hong Kongers DUN support the "Free HK" movement (yes, I repeat myself again, GO AND VISIT HK, because anything I say = lies, your eyes cannot lie to you). 9. Many Hong Kongers who claim they have no freedom has freedom to use internet, they can vote, they can throw molotov cocktails at police, they can protest anywhere including HK airport. 10. Many of us are frustrated, if you check many videos, MANY PARTS are edited out to show "police violence", have you seen 20 or more people beating up a riot police (can this happen in USA or Germany?) If you do research, or travel to HK and see, you will understand. If your country is competing with China, and your news networks purposely slander China and HK, then I have nothing to say. If people says they have no freedom, they have the right to migrate, not breakup a country because they just dun like it. I want to say as a Singaporean Chinese, I saw the China government doing miracles and lifted 800 million Chinese out of poverty.
  4. Oh my god, it is very quiet nowadays. It is like I see a ghost and that ghost say to me "Ya, very quiet right?" These are the games that I buy while waiting for Fallout 5. 1. Might and Magic 6 (people told me on FB that most games copy from Might and Magic and I see similarities with FO4). 2. Red Dead Redemption 2 (people told me to buy it on FB, but my cousin told me to wait for the price to go down about 1 year ago). 3. Postal 2 (this is like the crazier version of Fallout 4). 4. Gabriel Knight 2 (adventure game with real actors and actresses, this game is very advanced in the 1990s). 5. Until Dawn (adventure game which allows players to save or kill off characters, similar to FO1, 2 and New Vegas where your actions matter).
  5. Are you still having this issue? Solution: 1. Just play the game naturally for 3 to 5 in game days. 2. Talk to Nick Valentine. 3. If he does not give you the quest, type the following commands: prid 0002f25 modav ca_affinity 750 4. Talk to him again. 5. He will give you the quest.
  6. Dun type console commands to change companion unless necessary. (Quote: "I've tried recycling actor, that didn't work") 1. Reload any save before Nick's affinity quest ending (hunting down Eddie Winter). 2. Make sure you dun rush forward anything. 3. Be patient. 4. If Nick is not reacting to stuff, just type "00002f25.moveto player" (without the inverted commas). 5. He will take his sweet time, before half kneeling down and reflecting on the real Nick Valentine and his own past. 6. He will thank you (player) for helping him out. 7. Don't skip any of his conversations. The crucial part is step 1 (please check back on your previous save), and remember to check Eddie Winter for an unique weapon, I miss that in my first three playthroughs in 2015 and 2016. You may need step 4 (because most players install the "Unlimited Companion Framework" and this cause some troubles for Nick Valentine as he is unable to travel to that exact spot for the quest ending).
  7. Sheesh................... 1. "Cherry" in the wasteland = a power armor after you exit the vault in a few in game hours (less than 30 minutes of real time game play). 2. The reason the power armor is in bad condition = Bethesda wants the player to battle the deathclaw with a vertibird minigun. 3. They want the deathclaw to smash parts of the T-45 (game effect). 4. It is actually a power armor tutorial (teaching players that power armor gets weakened or destroyed in combat PLUS they can repair the power armor at Red Rocket or Sanctuary Hills). 5. I bring up the Far Harbor power armor = I just want to start a constructive dialogue (I always wonder why power armor with fusion core never gets stolen and it is in 100 percent condition). 6. Omg, sometimes game developers say something to lead the player to have false expectations (which I think it is okay). 7. Btw, I am not defending Bethesda, I do criticize them if people check my posts.
  8. Btw, a damaged T-45 power armor is realistic and powerful so there is nothing wrong with this game design. Imagine in the Far Harbor DLC, there is a sweet undamaged beautiful power armor with fusion core on (and no raiders steal it for 200 years). Power armor frame = 1200 caps, the rest of the power armor pieces should be worth 800 to 1000 caps, fusion core = 160 caps (no raider steal it? what about Gunners or someone in Far Harbor?) Power armor should be damaged due to radiation and wear and tear. Power armor pieces should never be in 100 percent condition. Those power armor pieces buried under water are in 100 percent conditions (SPOILERS: For example Northwest of Covenant) Btw, if someone from Bethesda is watching this forum, please make power armor scarce in F05.
  9. You have player settlement or home mods of Sanctuary? Or you scrap stuff that you should not in the first place.
  10. It is very nice you manage to solve this problem. If you are replaying this game again, remember this is a "minefield", save first, talk to Preston Garvey, let him stare at you for 20 seconds and he will give you the quest. Btw, upon completion of "The First Step" quest, the same issue will come out again, save first, let him stare for 20 seconds and he will give you more quests (which I ignore because my settlements are too weak and I need to do the DLCs first).
  11. 1. Load back to a previous save. 2. When you talk to Preston Garvey, be patient. 3. There will be a time he will stare at you for 20 seconds, dun do anything or walk away. 4. Eventually he will give you the quest "The First Step" and ask you to talk to Sturges (where he will give you the "Sanctuary" quest). 5. If you forgot to save at the exact moment, talk to Garvey again, make sure you follow step 2 to 4.
  12. If a website blatantly copies stuff from the original creator, the creator can 1. Complain to Google 2. Flag the website 3. If enough people complain or you are super lucky, Google actually investigates, the website disappears from the search engine. 4. Those people must be damn stupid to pay for free mods 5. Honestly, fewer and fewer people are still playing Fallout 4 (I play because of settlement building). 6. I donate money to mod authors but it is so little he/she can only buy a packet of coffee in the supermarket. 7. If McDonalds charge me $$$ to go to toilet, I will pee in the car park to protest, ya huh.
  13. You need to check your game, all my settlers go to bed after 12 a.m. 1. They will usually gather at bar (restaurant) or the free Vault soft drink area. 2. They will all go to bed without fail at 12 a.m. 3. Vault-Tec Rep, Anne Hargraves, Preston Garvey, Mama Murphy, Jun Long, Marcy Long and settlers without names all do the same. Solution: 1. Scrap all original beds (to boost happiness as well). 2. Build good new beds (under shelter). 3. Make sure there is a small space in between (I heard settlers will not go to bed if beds are too close to each other). 4. You also need to check mods which allows you (player) to give settlers new jobs. 5. I install many mods that give settlers herbalist, hunter and many new jobs (but they do go to bed at night without fail). 6. The only settlers awake at night = Codsworth, Ada, Jezebel, robot settlers, Strong and super mutant settlers. 7. Some settlers on guard duty also don't go to bed.
  14. I solve it via typing in commands. If people has this problem, dun bother trying to travel back to report. Just type "setstage bosr04 70" (without the inverted commas). Playing this game = need to type in commands just to complete basic quests = nice
  15. Omg, this FO4 is really buggy. I think this is a brand new bug, I check the wikia (it is not listed in the bugs section). 1. I ask Proctor Quinlan for escort work. 2. He asks me to see scribe at Boston Airport. 3. Scribe asks me to escort him to Poseidon Reservoir. 4. Simple task, kill all the ghouls, make sure the scribe access the terminal. 5. Pipboy says "Protect the scribe" = ticked. 6. Pipboy says "Report back to Quinlan". 7. When I fast travel to The Prydwen, the scribe is STANDING RIGHT beside me. 8. Then I talk to Quinlan, the dialogue options = he died. 9. I even use the vertibird signal grenade fast travel = Quinlan keeps saying the scribe died. 10. I TCL and run all the way back (by cheating) to The Prdywen = Quinlan keeps saying the scribe died. THAT GUY has high myopia or the game has a bloody new bug. The good thing is he gave me 98 caps (ya huh, thanks............) and the 440 exp. Dialogue options: 1. Moron died (omg, this is really lame to say that to a fallen comrade or even a stranger) 2. He did not make it 3. What is the mission? 4. Not right now (or something like that)
  16. You can get additional special stats from 1. Bobbleheads (from game or mods) 2. Perks (from game or mods) 3. Drugs (from game or mods) 4. Console commands
  17. 1. Critical hit takes account of armor protection (with or without mods) in Fallout 4. 2. There are some weapons that give you the chance to ignore a certain percentage of enemy armor protection. 3. That Saugus Ironworks bad guy boss, Slag, wears no power armor on his head, that is his major weakness, vats and critical hit to save all the settlers in the confrontation scene. 4. Critical hits are best used when your character are in sneak mode so the damage increase as well (best used against mod bosses who have insane health). 5. From my experience, even if the enemy wears thick X-01 power armor, the best location to critical hit is still his head. 6. Critical hits can be done even though the enemy is hiding behind cover (for example your character vats him/her and that bad guy hides behind some trees or rocks, critical hit and he/she gets hit.
  18. The game crashes almost 2 or 3 hours (without mods) for me when I play 2 or 3 years ago. 1. My game crashes when I go crazy and watch a "genius" YouTuber video about having 60 to 100 settlers (Automatron radiant quest) per settlement. At one time, my character's Sanctuary has 60 plus settlers when it becomes really slow and then it finally crashes (2 years ago). A good side to this dark comedy: NO RAIDERS DARE TO ATTACK MY SETTLEMENT (imagine 6 raiders vs 60 settlers with decent weapons). 2. Intense combat (too many fights occurring at once), maybe the game cannot load too many stuff at once. 3. Visiting certain locations will cause crashes in the past for me, I solve that in a new playthrough by uninstalling unnecessary stuff. Most probably you need to uninstall stuff and install the latest patches.
  19. 1. Strong back perk works in all situations regardless of companions (players can get this perk only with 6 Strength Stat). 2. Lone wanderer perk works when you have no companions (except Dogmeat). 3. Every increase in Strength Stat result an increase of 10 carry weight. 4. Lone Wanderer perk increase your carry weight by 50 (NOT 50 percent) at level 1. 5. Lone Wanderer perk increase your carry weight to 100 at level 2 (50 plus 50 = 100, NOT 50 plus 100 = 150).
  20. Don't clear this location until you are high level enough because it is possible to save two settlers instead of one (at the confrontation scene). You need to vats almost immediately, score a critical hit on his head and kill him straight, sometimes driving you mad as he drop his legendary weapon into the furnace. He is not really tough, as many raiders also wear power armor. Raiders in the commonwealth are mostly simple minded, going to a few locations to bully settlers (extorting caps and crops), they never have the brains to build something of a "military government".
  21. 1. You need to play the game on itself first, dun install mods, so that you know what the original game is and what mods are. 2. In your second playthrough, install mods, tinkle around, experience a few more bugs and glitches and the random CTDs. 3. In your third playthrough, you will have a set of "ESSENTIAL MODS" and a few "FUN MODS". It is in your third playthrough, you experience the most fun. 4. In your fourth playthrough, you will then find out which "LEISURE MODS" are best for you (mods that make your lives easier). 5. In your fifth playthrough, you will son get bored with the game (then return once in a few months to check for new mods). 6. You won't bother to do a sixth playthrough, but play FO1, FO2, FO3 and FO New Vegas to know about the Fallout lore (which has "mutated" since FO3). Mods that are really really god and WILL NOT CAUSE problems for you. 1. Heather Casdin (companion mod) 2. Ellen the Cartographer (companion mod) 3. T0-R1 (companion mod) 4. Blood Rose (companion mod) 5. Veronica Santangelo (companion mod) 6. F4-111 (companion mod) 7. CBBE for Fallout5. 8. The Wild Wasteland (Treasure hunting mod) 9. Boss Chests Contain Legendaries (Treasure hunting mod) 10. Tribal Power Armour (Adds raiders and beautiful power armor to the Commonwealth)
  22. The most disgusting NPC is Henry Cooke, I NEVER SPARE him in ALL PLAYTHROUGHS. Fxxker sleep with a guy's wife and beat up that guy in front of her. Who the F is more DISGUSTING? Imagine someone doing that to you. I always tell Pembroke, ya huh I will take care of him. Then I talk to Cooke, BANG, die, and I steal the Gwinnett recipe, ROB HIS CORPSE, and then eat up his body (cannibal) just for fun. I have HIGH CHARISMA and I tell his daughter (YA HUH, I kill your dad, what can you do about it). Hehehehe. That bxtch wife (Darcy) is the second most disgusting character. Cheating on her husband, watch him getting beaten up, walks home to sleep, does not feel sad when her lover was killed, regrets her actions only when her husband was killed. Henry Cooke I murder him all in playthroughs (since 2015). Not to mention he tries to betray his "business partners" as well.
  23. If you are a beginner and you find it too difficult, yes go to Abernathy Farm (as suggested by the brother above) to get the crops. The reason why I dun want to go to Abernathy Farm is I want the Destroyer Helmet and antibiotics on Day 1 (in case Sanctuary Cellar dun have). I need to enter Covenant before 5 p.m. It is a super rush but worth it if you can pull this off (as Destroyer Helmet is one of the best unique helmets in the game). If somebody feel it is super difficult, my advice is NEVER max charisma on your first run. Get high perception (6 to 7), medium agility (4 to 5). High perception is very good for pistol build (10mm pistol is very good in case people dun know, it fires very fast and ammo is plentiful unless you really miss a lot). I will also advise beginners to move their base from Sanctuary to Red Rocket, and then to Starlight Drive-In and finally to Hangman Alley. I had 2 central bases, Hangman Alley and Diamond City Home Plate.
  24. I am a highly experience Fallout 4 player. But I never play survival difficulty before because I think it is super tedious. I recently try it just to see how tough it can be. To my amazement, it is super duper easy, I recommend Bethesda to introduce "HELL MODE". 1. Before you leave Vault 111, get all the goodies, dun use ammo on radroaches, use the security baton, fill up bottles with water, get the game from the terminal. 2. See Codsworth, get magazine in your old house, make sure he always stand in front of you before killing bloatflies, try to get 2 to 3 kills. 3. Cook all the food, dump all your junk in Sanctuary, see radroaches again, use security baton, dun waste ammo. Make sure you go to Sanctuary Cellar and check for good stuff. 4. Reach Redrocket, recruit Dogmeat, get good stuff from outside the mole rat den (DUN ENTER). Dump all the heavy junk at Redrocket. 5. Use Dogmeat as a "meat shield", sneak attack the raiders at Concord (outside the Museum of Freedom). Loot the bodies, get the weapons and ammo. Let Dogmeat get the heavy armor stuff. 6. Complete quest BUT DUN ENTER the museum, get experience points to level up. 7. Push forward to Covenant (avoid all fights). DUN SWIM, reach there before 5 p.m. 8. Do the crazy test, get free crops, be careful some are marked as owned, drink water, get the Destroyer Helmet and antibiotics. Destroyer Helmet adds 1 to CHARISMA and 1 to Intelligence (very valuable for all playthroughs). 9. Talk to the crazy Covenant mayor and be POLITE, dun talk to Honest Dan, get the bed to sleep (thanks for the free hotel accomodation). There you go with Destroyer's Helmet, crops, money, water, food and sleep, go to Mystic Pines and get magazine (DAY 2). In Day 2, I highly advise going to Super Duper Mart for magazine and tons of food (to sell DUN EAT THEM). There you go, super easy like hell, if you are beginner, this is my strategy for Day 1. I actually increase my MISERY by maxing on CHARISMA and see whether I survive (AND I DID but it is still tougher than very hard mode, where the raiders can be killed without sneaking).
  25. Spoiler Alert (don't read my reply if there is your first playthrough): You can do that by console command. Remove their faction, put their aggression score to zero (some kind brothers or sisters please post the exact command here). This is the beauty of Bethesda games, sure they have bugs, but the player is actually a god in the game, you decide EVERYTHING. You can even save Porter Gage when you destroy the Nuka World Raiders (make sure he is not in the party first). Even if you save the Institute Scientists, they will be killed when the Institute explode. When I first play FO4, I always try to behave as correctly as possible UNTIL I find it very tedious and check my murder count: 23 (OMG), yes I use spray and pray. I never destroy the Institute (as I will become the Boss with the most advanced technology). In some of my playthroughs, I never destroy any faction (as the game does not have a time limit like Fallout 1). Some people may also sympathize with killing Railroad agents such as Deacon or BOS soldiers. Just my thoughts.
