What's the point? if any! I can understand it in "sports" games, because it boosts "reality" but in a wargame? What product could benefit from this? Don't think a brand would think this would acutally boost their sales.

Ideas a plenty, the problem is getting people to get on the wagon. I think a thursday of friday night has the most potentional

Ash has found some time to play and convinced me to join in and get me away from my busy workschedule so yeah last couple of days were fun, hope the fun gets better with this patch and the inevetable return of GS ;D

Me 2 definatly. But as always i don't write of a game beforehand, i always want to play and use my own expirience before buying a game. So when BF2142/ET:QW hits the torrent scene i'll down them both, get several well earned frags and then deside what will be the succesor of BF2. So we will see what the future will bring. But looking at the the internet/hype etc. i'm looking more foreward to ET:QW than BF2142 :unsure:

Indeed, MP could just have cashed the money, it's not their fault the game is buggy, they're delivering their part of the deal. Now all we need is the 1.4(!?) patch asap :D

Good to hear, hopefully when "we" are back it is with a non crashing server. EA/Dice wil have an open beta periode in early july, so at least we have to wait a month (if not longer)

:glare: I would advise against that, not because of the criminal fact, but because of the financhial side of things. Dutch banks are a) far and few between (last couple of years lots of them closed or downscaled) b) have minimal amounts of cash (large amounts must be requested few days in advance) So you are better of robbing a mc donalds or something ;D

uhm...what was is, we played so many maps/servers yesterday, and had serveral crashes true the day. So i'm not exact, but it cost me a gold, so i think oman (a little birdie tells me it's the second round after you left)

I thought so :) I've worked a couple of months for Philips in the UK, a semiconducter plant in hazelgrove, lived in stockport and truly licked manchester. To bad to hear the plant is now closed. But that's still quite a drive from antwerp to eindhoven you than have to do, you do use the right side of the road do you :happy: We dutch do spit when are compared with germans*, the belgiums aren't that problematic (as long as they speak vlaams, and not french). Thats exactly what you need, happy players. They will generate some word to mouth publicity what eventually can only be a good thing for GS

:ohmy: you are absolutly right, what were whe thinking ;) The server rules that are displayed ingame, triggerde by the admins, perhaps it would be good to post these as a sticky subject on the forum, most other server do this. The rules are clear for the regulars, but for the new players might want a overview

That's correct, but you must admit most players out there on public servers cry like little baby's the moment their team doesn't play like a team and their driven back to their last uncappable base. Hey its war out there, what are we supposed to do, wait outside as a nice nemesis and wait till you come out and play!? Hell no, attack them. If you would really play as a team that situation a) would not have occured b) if the others are better you could make a well sustained breakout (spawn on squad leader) c) sneak around, stop getting killed by the inevatable (karkand hotel anyone)

Can somebody please tell me why everybody thinks SLI/Crossfire is the ultamide gaming add-on/musthave!? That basicly a whole lot of BS. Sure it's a nice brag feature but one good graphics card is more than enough. You only get top preformance out of two cards in high resolutions with lots of AA/AAF and bad driver/game support to boot. Spend the money that you would throw away on that second card wisely in getting rid of other bottlenecks in your system. For example Use 2x74GB Raptor (ver 2 has NCQ, 16MB cache, 10.000rpm) in raid-0 on a good HW raid controller as a boot/game besides this use another disk wich support NQM for bulk data storage and use at least 2x1GB DDR matched pair like Corsair (has sets that get 2-2-2-5 or lower if you like to tweak). In my past job i've sold/build/tweaked countless SLI systems but almost all where outperformed by a well balanced all-round system that took in count bottlenecks. And looking at the end price difference is minimal.

Play regularly...... check be known....... check act maturely....... check (but seriously do i have to ;D ) play fair...... check, i play hard, but fair (but tend to do the occasional trip to enemy base with lots of c4 and steal my way out that with anything that has flying capabilities) love me...... guess thats not going to happen with my driving skills, ask BrightAsh if your in doubt :unsure: but i will be there when you are in a jam and need airsupport Talking about the old situation i was always in GS (until kicked for 1 round due to "exessive" TK) but getting back in prooved more difficult as GS was, and probly will be again (if i have anything to say about it), the best BF2 servers, good teamplay, fair en swift admin justice and plain fun playing. So if there is a chance for a "reserved" slot position, for greater chance of getting onto GS count me in.

My rule of thumb is, the moment they break contact with the ground and get airborne, i usually fire my rockets way before that, so they impact on takeoff :dry:

WooT!!!!11!1!1 (this is my scizo side, its not me :excl: ) Today after patching BF to 1.3 i fired it up for the first time in a long period, this has told me one thing, SmidsY is back a bit shaky/nervous, but still triggerhappy, just as long i don't get into a choper or jet, just yet But with a little practise i'll give you a run for your money. This weekend i'll be around a bit (if i can find the time) but Ash is correct, next weekend prep yourself for some serious dutch action on the battlegrounds cause it's probably going to be an all nighter :glare:

It's been fun while it lasted, GS was one the better (if not the best) orginized servers out there for BF2. Spent a lot of hours there, hope to see you guys around on the battlefield. And as BrightAsh mentions we'll be spening quite some time on the frontline's this weekend so if you feel like it, come join us.
