Believe it or not, businesses that require federal assistance aren't exactly making money. we need to let them go under so new businesses can take their place - businesses that don't require goevernment help to stay running. Do you think they would go to war with the U.S. for putting the hurt on a criminal enterprise that they either cannot or will not stop themselves? Also, last time I checked, the Somalia has little or no capability to bring law and order to the people. Last time I checked, states have their own agencies equivalent to the EPA. They will notice. Well here's what I'd do if I led the U.S. 1. End all foreign aid. We have too much debt to be worrying about paying other countries' bills. 2. Get rid of Federal subsidies. If a business (big or small) cannot make money from what they're doing, they need to adapt or go under. This includes GM and a bunch of banks! 3. The Drug War: The reason it's not working is because law enforcement is not allowed to go after the source aggressively enough. Assissinate the kingpins, bomb their estates, etc. Make their successors think twice before smuggling more of their stuff in. Should be more cost eficient, in the long run. 4. The same deal with the Somali pirates. 5. At least half of the bureacracy needs to go. The Department of Education, the EPA, etc. They're not working. 6. At some point, once our economic and debt problems pan out, we should invite other countries into the Union. Yes, I know. I'm weird. But that's the way I see it.

Getting back to the OP here, I just want to get a few things out there: 1. The kid, for all intents and purposes, is little more than a vegetable, right now. 2. Since the stem cells come from the little sister's umbilical, I think it's safe to say that she was already born, so the question of cells from a fetus is moot, in this case. 3. I doubt he'd be sent to the U.S. for this sort of thing if a doctor isn't already lined up, and there would be ways of checking his qualifications. Now, the only real question I have is: are the stem cells from the cord blood embryonic, or adult?

I've had this problem for awhile and have been unable to figure it out. The .bik movies seems to play at the speed of molasses and the audio is choppy at best. The worst part it that the same thing happens with Oblivion and Fallout 3. I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 video card.

Looks like I'm going to have to use the "R" word, here... Republic. That's because the Senate was never intended to be democratic! The purpose of the Senate was to give the less-populated states equal voice in making the laws. That way, the more populated states won't be able to dominate the writing of federal laws. The Senate is a very necessary part of this govenment.

If you're referring to the International Criminal Court at the Hague, the U.S. never ratified the Rome Statute. That means the court has no legal standing to try any U.S. citizen.

It's the NCR for me. For all their flaws they are at least trying to rebuild what was lost.

Then what should have been done with him? Let him continue developing plans to kill U.S. personnel? Risk U.S. personnel in capturing him? I haven't chosen a side, yet, but I am almost certain that any arrest attempt would have been met with deadly force and end up with more dead people than the predator drone did.

Just remember, people. AI's would be created for a purpose. They are given a role to fulfill, not a life lead on its own.

I would like to point out that Marx and Engels were expecting this workers' revolution to take place much sooner than it did. Now, over a century-and-a-half later, most of the countries that even tried to acvieve Utopia are those too underdeveloped for such a thing. The result has been utter disaster with people being punished or killed for not agreeing 100% with the party. Others were simply left by the wayside in the name of "progress". I would also put forth that much of Eastern Europe had some form of advanced capitalism (at least before Hitler came around). These were not much better as people were oppressed and forced-fed the Communist Party line. Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Poland each made an attempt to gain their freedom from the oppression the Communist Party brought to them, only to be invaded and forced back to the old order by the Soviets. When the Soviet Union fell, the party heirarchy could do little but watch the entire Easten Bloc turn towards more capitalist ideas.
