  1. Hello there, I didn't find a mod about this and it doesn't seem to bother people, but I just HATE how NPCs automatically start a conversation when I look at them. Would there be a way to make it that we have to activate an NPC with "E" to talk to them ? Some NPCs are already like this, and others aren't. Because if Drinking Buddy asks me one more time if I want a beer or to hear a joke I'm gonna murder everyone in Goodneighbor, I swear...

I die at least once everytime I see a glowing one, they are sooooo overpowered and I always get stuck in a wall or corner when trying to run away, they run so fast they are on me before i realize I can't move and start hitting me and staggering me with every hit, and the health regen from a stimpack is not fast enough to keep me alive. So... reload, and have to find a technique to outsmart them. Feels good when they're dead.

  4. It's simple : Luxiloid modified Mur_Zik's and Umpa's sexy walk without asking them the permission. Umpa don't care about that, but Mur_Zik did not want that somebody modify his walk without permission. So, an admin deleted the file.

  6. After hours and hours ( days ? ) trying to extract a good normal map from the sculpted highpoly, a friend of mine showed me how to configure xNormal. Then I extracted an Ambiant Occlusion map and I used it for the base texture ( and I will use it for the spec map too, here the spec map is missing ). Too many details, next time I will do an easiest thing ^^ . So, I have to finish the specular and then put it in the game with a little quest to find it.   7. Oh the last one took me less than 5Hrs. In fact everything is symmetrical, and it's quick to do, I just let my hand do what it wants, and voila. ^^

  9. I'm really stoopid... I wanted to do a 2048x512 or 1024x256 texture with back/front overlaped UV's and I forgot to stretch the Uv's to take the 0-1 uv space entierely... Now I have to sculpt this again with the new UV's because I can't import them in the current highpoly... :wallbash: PS : I tried to do a quick normal map, 1024x256, and a basic texture, then I exported from max in OBJ, imported in blender to have the collision ( the niftools doesn't works on my 3ds max 2010, the niftools 2010 beta doesn't appear, or I can't find it ). I tested ingame, it works perfectly, the non-square texture is automatically stretched on a square and match the UV's. :biggrin: A 2048x512 texture+normal map will be good I think.

  11. Yeah a mesh with more than 10 000 000 polys always looks nice... but the problem is to extract a good normal map from this... I generated a 4096 normal map, reduced at 2048 and sharpened in photoshop, but I don't know why the uv's don't match with the mesh... I will try again tomorrow, changing the topology a little bit, doing the uv's again and re-sculpting with less tiny details.

  14. Ok I will try with a normal map. Currently i'm sculpting the sword details in ZBrush... for the 8 or 9th time... was a real pain at the beginning and I did a stupid mistake : impossible to extract a good normal map with overlaped UV's ( looks logical now I know it, but I thought I was able to change the UV's after sculpting... and I failed. ) And I forgot to activate the Y axis symmetry, so I only sculpted one side of the sword... -_- I did a new version of the mesh with less than 700 tris, and I just found a good brush to sculpt solid-looking objects : the layer-constant.
  15. I just tested with the diffuse map, no normal map... just to see if the size and the shape of the sword are correct ^^.
  16. Haha ^^. Well, I did a test ingame with a basic gray texture before starting the normal map sculpting, but the texture appears dark purple, but not the "missing texture" purple. I think I did everything as explained in the tutorial... Another question : may I use non-square textures ? I can do a 1024x256 texture overlaping the front and back UV's, but I don't know if I can use this size...
  17. Hi Hi, I just started to modelize a sword inspired by Luis Royo. Nothing special, for now I just want to see if I can do something good. At the end my goal is to do a little quest mod, telling the story of Luis the Blacksmith who disappeared and left some notes to find his creations in Tamriel... Hope it will work ^^. I know there already are a lot of weapons mods, but I just want to do some 3D meshes, and I don't like when I modelize things which are not used, so I will put them in Oblivion.

  19. Oh sure it will continue, but I only can post 5 pics per day, image share restriction. The first chapter is done ( 8 pics ) and I will start the second one. And I have some ideas for the chapters 3 and 4...
  20. I can say that Oblivion is my favourite game. Seriously. I bought it the first time on PC, but my videocard was not powerfull enough, and I changed just for that game. Some month later, a virus destroyed my PC, and I did not have enough money to buy another one. But I bought an Xbox 360, with Oblivion. I played so much that the DVD was broken, and I had to bought another game... Then, I finally bought a new PC, because I needed it for school ( try to go at a Computer Graphics school without a PC... XD ), and as my Xbox360 did a Red Ring of Death ( 2 times, I'm not lucky ), I bought Oblivion on pC again ( because the first one was useless I sold it ). I played for hundreds and hundreds hours to that game. I never finished it... there are so many excellent mods, this game is really endless ^^. I just started a new game, with new mods ( OOO, Bartholm, Cute Elves race, CM Partners... ), and I wanted to tell the story of my character... in a funny way. I know that a lot of people already did that hundreds times, I don't think to do better, and I'm sure that a lot of the joke I use were already used by others. But I found the game funier like that. I really like elves, with red long hair. And the only haircut which don't clip a lot with long hair is the Ren's ponytail. My characters always look the same, but I don't care, I like her.   21. Yeah the disable command is the ultimate solution. Did you already tried to deactivate Better Cities ? I don't remember the Better Cities esps, but may I ask why you have Better Cities Full and a separate Imperial Better Cities ? Better Cities Full doesn't already includes the IC ?
  22. I don't really know, but I always thought that was to avoid "cheat". When you use an enchanted bow, I think that the arrow is replaced by an enchanted one, and enchanted arrows disappear too. But why ? Maybe because they are powerful and cost money, so you can't get them back to avoid to be a too powerful archer. A mage don't have infinite magicka, a warrior will broke his weapon, and an archer will lose his arrow... But it's just a suggestion. Maybe it's just a script effect which can be corrected. Interesting question.
