  1. I haven't noticed this but haven't done any sneaking around horses. Look at any animal that doesn't detect the player in Xedit and note what flags it uses. There is probably one about not detecting the player. Place whatever that flag is on the horse race. or all horse npcs or maybe just your specific horse. Hmmm I just looked on Xedit Cows have "doesn't effect stealth meter flag" and dogs have a "no crime" tag in AI. I know dogs don't report crime so maybe try the no cirme tag on horses. Heck try them both and see what happens. Hmmm it could also be faction related, if so one of the horse mods would probably fix it. Convenient Horses or Improved Horses might work.
  2. On my last plugin merged I got the error "There were some Navmesh conflicts. You'll need to rebuild these navmeshes in the CK". I look up how to fix this problem that ends with saving the merged plugin in CK. The problem being that CK crashes every time I try to save it. Problem might be that I am using instructions for LE but for the life of me I can't see how that would make a difference. For now I'm just going to remove all the plugins that mess with navmeshes from the merge plugin but I would really like to know how to go about fixing this.
  3. SSE Engine Fixes does everything SSE Fixes does and more. For myself SSE Engine Fixes fixed the fake game corruption bug and loading crash which means I can't play without it. I'm not sure if SSE Fixes has fixed these yet.
  4. loadscreens have conditions you can change or remove using CK or Xedit. This is why you only get some loadscreens after completing certain quests or getting to a certain level. There is actually a mod that removes all the conditions called "Randomized Load Screens". So you will have a equal chance of getting any of the loadscreens.
  5. Well lets see, here are all the reasons I know of that cause guards to attack. Being in the wrong faction. Do you have any mods that put you in bad faction? For example maybe a bandit or necromancer. Having a bounty. Do you currently have a bounty? Attacking a guard or friendly faction. Do you have any items or spells that do random attacks? For example a ring that absorbs health from anyone nearby. One of your followers doing any of the above. Does it happen without followers? I think that is all the reasons that will cause a guard to attack you.
  6. Is your character a vampire or werewolf? There are a few mods that will change the guards so they will attack you on sight not just when you are in werewolf or vampire form.
  7. Are you using texture packs? If so try uninstalling the ones that have blurry textures. If you aren't using a texture packs you might be running out of vram.
  8. Also you could try a mod that changes the LODs for mountains.. I use "HD LODs Textures SE".
  9. When you reinstalled the game did you delete any meshes and textures you downloaded? Reinstall wouldn't remove new downloads.
  10. I don't know but I know replacing them with animations will work and do what you want. Try deleting them though and see what happens. You can always put the animations back if deleting them crashes your game. If I would hazard a guess I think you'll get T-Poses or CTD when the missing animation is given to a NPC but I could be wrong. I'm not sure what your issue is with just replacing them but I see no reason why not to try it your way.
  11. I'm trying to think of ways to make learning spells more immersive. Maybe only learning spells at the college. I would love to study the spells and practice them. I could pretend to do that but I can't track my progress. Then again how would I pretend to study the book if the book is used up as soon as activate it.
  12. I have it but haven't used it yet. I'll make a note to test it next time I fire up the game.
  13. Things that can cause random crashes Having to many mods. The number of mods is different for everybody. Having mods in form 43. Running out of ram Running out of vram. This is a big one. Having other apps open while playing. Especially apps that use vram like youtube. Having a bad mix of physic, mesh, and skeletons. This is big also SKEE, known to cause crashes Bad load order Not making use of a merged, bash, and/or smash patch Save is corrupted or partially corrupted. This is big also. Win 10 trying do something stupid like updating or deciding your plugins need to be purged slow hard drive, try a SSD Bad hard drive, uh oh Not using SSE Engine Fixes Installing mods from people that obviously barely know what they are doing. Textures in the wrong format. Meshes in the wrong format. uninstalling mods that shouldn't be uninstalled. This is also a big one. installing mods that shouldn't be installed mid game. time scale might be to high if you changed it. You didn't make a sacrifice to the gods of skyrim. And a hundred other things I can't think of at the moment.
  14. Great Caesar Ghost. Thanks One problem though. The SSE version is in form 43. Already resaved it to put it in form 44. Thanks again.
  15. CBBE mod is only meshes and textures. You install it by placing the meshes and textures into your data folder. You uninstall it by removing those files. If you still see them you didn't delete them. So look at the files in the original mod and make sure those files aren't in your data folder.
  16. Please ignore this. The cause and fix is in the troubleshooting forum. The author of SSE Engine Fixes put out a update yesterday that fixes this.
  17. Holy moly I just posted about this in the technical thread. My search and google fu has failed me.
  18. For NPC overhauls you would just remove the ones you didn't want which is easy to do using Xedit also known as TES5Edit or SSEedit. You just highlight the npc you don't want and click on remove. For weapons it is the same thing but you also have to remove the weapon from leveled list and crafting recipes. And once again to do that you highlight the weapon in the level list and click remove. For the haven bag remove all leveled list and add the item to the inventory of one of th merchants in the college. A little bit more complicated but you basically will copy the chest own by the merchant and add bag to it.. When you right click on the chest there will be a option called "copy as override" .
  19. Just recently I have been having a issue where all my saves will show as corrupt. I am still able save the game and of those saves also show as corrupt. When this happens I am unable to load any of these saves until I exit the game and restart. This happen twice to me both times around 3 to 4 hours mark. This is a minor issue for me but would kind of like to know why it happens. I have around 80 hours on my current game and this started today. The last mods I installed a week ago were followers can loot, convenient horses, IAFT, and your home is my home. My first thought was it might be one of my new installs but maybe it is the number of mods I have. Or maybe it is the number of mods I have that are script heavy. I am currently at 253 active mods or 301 counting the merged mods. I did a search and found other people with the problem but they did the same thing I idid, restart the game. I couldn't find a cause. I know I could do the old remove mods one at a time until the problem goes away but at four hours that would take a insane amount of time. Then consider it is almost certainly not a single mod causing it but a combination otherwise the bad mod would be flooded with other people with the same problem.
  20. Sounds good. The mods will not conflict this way by dumping them all together? When creating that mod 'junk' do I still have to enable the mod? Or leave it deactivated? No they wont conflict. That is exactly how they would be if you did put them in the data folder. Leave the mod activated that way you wont have to move them from the overwrite folder every time you play the game.
  21. MO2 unlike MO can handle skse plugins. They are installed just like any other mod. Create a MO2 install folder out of the overwrite and call it Game Junk or anything you want. I have both wearable lanterns and simple knock se along with a few other SKSE plugin mods and they all work through MO2 Extra note I use my Game Junk folder for any mods that generate files during the game.
  22. If you have anything running while playing turn it off and see if that helps. Things like youtube or movies can make a big difference. Also try SSE Engine Fixes if you haven't already.
  23. If you are like me you have hundreds of mods. When looking for the mod you want in CK can be painful because they aren't in any order. Well it just accord to me that I could make a profile with just the mod I want to work on and its masters. That way when I open CK there are only around 5 mods to look through instead of hundreds. This same idea can be used for Merge Plugins. Why load up a hundred plugins when you just need to merge 4 plugins. Just for organization sake you can have a profile for each merge. I'm sure many people already knew this but for the slower people like myself I hope it was helpful.
  24. I can see that, just wondering if there is some way to get is back to the main Load menu. You could probably rename your current save to a save that doesn't have the problem.
  25. Yep, once you load the save all saves after that can only be seen with show all saves.
