  1. In the other thread, you hit the report button and then proceeded to use immature language. In this thread you insult everyone and call people "retard." You're such a child. Maybe Maverick that Baby Khajiit. Show me evidence of what I stole then show me evidence of the mod on steam for sale. You proceed to promote slander in my name without an ounce of evidence then somehow believe I should sit idly by. There is no subtle way for me to describe people like yourself. Yes I reported and if you don't believe I have a legit reason, you are mentally challenged.
  2. ... wtf. I never had intention on selling my mods nor would I be dumb enough to use other peoples assets if I did. I actually made Helsmyrr for this site exclusively. I am done with this site.
  3. I don't owe anybody anything. Using resources works both ways. Majority of what I learned was from hardcore trail and error. The resources used were created for mod authors which I had credited. The added clutter put into my mods do not make up the content in the slightest. Youtube advertisers and this site are making money off my work so I don't know what thanks I owe them. So careful when you say I owe "a lot". I made my mods for me which I had shared with this community. The handful people who contributed to my work does not make up a community. I don't even care to know what you call experienced either. This is what I get for ultimately uses resources in my work. So clowns like the guy above can say I owe something to someone when investing 1500+ hours in the creation kit. Gtfo.
  4. http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/law_of_drama.png. Except the difference in this case is my name was called out before I stated anything retard. Get your facts straight before you start making assumptions.
  5. A paid mod doesn't need this site to promote it. If they feel they do, they are amateurs and that doesn't justify this thread in the slightest. There is no issue what so ever that requires this thread to exist. This thread is purely entertainment for the drama hungry.
  6. This thread is a joke and the community response that is being supported by this site is even a bigger joke. This is a shaming thread and it doesn't matter how well you sugarcoat it. Not a single modder owes anything to anyone on this site and what they choose to do with their material is their business. What I choose to do with my work OWES NO EXPLANATION. Make sense of that OP.
  7. In response to post #24589329. #24589589, #24589619, #24589869, #24589984, #24590034, #24590139, #24590269, #24591409, #24591504, #24591544, #24591669, #24591839, #24591859, #24591919, #24592019, #24592054 are all replies on the same post. @TheLine This coming from a guy who has never made a single mod. I have never received a single donation for anything I provided from this site nor do I expect a single dime. To say donations is even a viable solution to make money is nonsense. Whats even more nonsense is saying that modders should accept this as a hobby and nothing more. Some of us actually do this in hopes that one day we can make a career out of it. To me, making money doing what I love is better then making nothing at all. Perhaps the 25% is arguably low but as person who simply downloads mods as opposed to actually making them... that doesn't concern you at all. Not in the slightest. The platform to host these mods cost money. The platform to create these mods cost money.

  9. In response to post #24589329. #24589589, #24589619, #24589869, #24589984 are all replies on the same post. 25% is very fair. The platform for modders to begin work is available and ready. That platform cost Bethesda and steam a great deal of money to prepare. It is very easy to for a modder to begin work and entirely hassle free when preparing their next project. 25% is better then nothing which has been the case since the dawn of modding.
  10. Naturally the downloading community will be in an uproar and perhaps from there perspective it may feel justified. To me, all I see is greed. We don't complain when sites like the Nexus or Youtube advertisers make money but god forbid the creators of some of these insanely highly polished mods make money. This is an opportunity for them to make money doing what they love but naturally that conflicts with the selfish when doing what they love. 90% of the people downloading couldn't give a damn to provide an endorsement or a vote up but I bet the majority will rush to complain about having to pay for excellent quality mods. This opens up new work opportunities for the very people the majority of you have been milking for years. Times are changing and now you can show your support by accepting these changes.
  11. I probably should have been a little more specific. I need an animated door to close behind. Like gates for example. If I attach the script to a gate and go through the trigger, will the door close behind me and lock? I'll check it out anyway. Thanks.
  12. Anyone recall any such event that happens in game? Trying to find a script that close door behind you and reopen upon boss kill. Any help would be most appreciated.
  13. In response to post #24107669. #24111784, #24112069 are all replies on the same post. Well you can't make everyone happy. Lets not forget that not everyone will be qualified to be selling their mods as I am sure there will be quality control if the idea is ever implemented on a larger scale. At the moment the modding community is rather spoiled and everyone is making money off modders hard work except the modders. There is a problem there. I mean you look at any mod and about 1% of people care to endorse these modders. All it takes is a click and even that is too much work for the "Downloading Community".
  14. I have guards set on patrol and everything is fine there but they don't enter homes when player commits a crime. The guards that sandbox enter when the player commits a crime no problem. I am using linked Idle Markers for the patrolling guards. I had this issue with my last mod and solved it by simply getting the guards to sandbox. Is there no way to get them to patrol and enter homes?
  15. It ends when I finish all the interiors, exterior, navmeshing, NPC's and packaging. So about less then a month. When everything is done i'll give you a shout.
  16. Most definitely merging content. Most designing assets will be used with vanilla materials and resources will need to be talked about. I'll have Helsmyrr fully cleaned and organized on cell layout so everything is ready to go. I am limited on my decisions and is entirely based on the quest designer until I know who is available. A main quest line does sound fun though but I would be happy with a few exciting side quests also. Most definitely will be voice actors which I will start looking for when Helsmyrr is closer to finalized. I do appreciate your offer and will look for you if I don't find anyone available. A full voiced town would be something I could live with in the end. I would have a full written script available for each actor so it will be organized and there wont be a lot of back and forth. Though I never managed this before, we'll see how it plays out. I am hoping the quest designer will do all that. :D
  17. http://i.imgur.com/vXB747u.jpg Been working on a new aesthetic settlement and it's coming along rather nicely. A fair portion of the roughing is done and I thought I would put an attempt to find a quest and interior designer. This will be the second settlement I worked on and after the last one I feel I learned enough to do everything properly this time. I am looking to make this a partner project. I don't have much in terms of story or design goals to share because I am kinda going on the whim. I figured that would be better to encourage some people to assist and add their own creativity. Right now the layout of the town is in a good place but If I managed to recruit a couple people it would give me more time to and flexibility to be creative on the exterior and storyline. I will share what I know. Theme Right now I am trying to make Helsmyrr a town that is beautiful by day but a place you don't want to lurk around at night. I want her to feel like she belongs in Skyrim but have an eerie feel to it which provides plenty of opportunity for a good story. The name is very Norse but original as far Google knows. So it will fit into Skyrim. I used Riften architecture because outside of the farm architecture, it is the only ones which feel like they can fit into the wild. I added some images which are still alpha but good enough to display for the time being. http://i.imgur.com/AST12oU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mz2OUUa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2U5BLQ4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/o3PJZ7w.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2SGZsKR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/GAFRSPE.jpg What I am looking for I will happily settle with two people to work on this with me. I don't want to manage people and I want to keep this fun. So I will be looking for a couple experienced individuals who are confident and diligent enough to get this done. Please send me a PM for anyone who is interested. Interior Designer I need an interior designer who can make things look a little more natural and break my OCD symmetrical designs so we can avoid having every interior looking fairly similar. I would need to see past work or at least images of your potential. Quest Designer This role is the only reason I decided to make a team because I didn't want to release this mod without some interaction and dialogue. I need someone who can make some rich quest designs, add dialogue and is 100% committed to make this town awesome. I will gladly write a script, manage voice actors or w/e else if required. You will have full creative freedom but I will influence on the dialogue/story. Potential Talented Candidates If you feel like you have something you can offer such as texture talent, modeling, photoshop skills, w/e feel free to let me know. Weapon and Armor Donations I wanted to add shops with entirely unique items to sell as opposed to the same randomly generated generic equipment were used to seeing in Skyrim. While there is some some good resources available, I will ask here if anyone would like to donate their equipment mod to be showcased in Helsmyrr. Your equipment will not be tossed into a list for the vendor to be sold but rather have a unique individuality based on the quality of your work. That means quest lines or high gold prices for your work with the obvious credits available. I don't want to be that guy who spams messaging people to use their assets so i'll ask here and only here. I want Helsmyrr to be a town that players have a reason to frequently visit. Release Date It all depends on the ambition of the quest designer, assuming I find one. I'll have a better idea when I know more. Notice I will keep my progress updated and clean this thread up tomorrow. If you would like to view more pictures you can check them on my steam profile here.
  18. Its much better to remold an existing navmesh than delete/replace. In both cases you'll have to re-finalize the navmesh(s) when you're done. Replacing isn't recommended as it leads to problems, exterior navmeshes its possible to use a trick to push the original mesh down in the landscape (literally down, as in miles below the land surface so NPC's can't use it) but this doesn't really work with interior navmeshes which will cause all sorts of problems with NPC's bugging out (continually exiting and re-entering via the door for one). Sometimes the CK will delete/replace a navmesh anyway no matter how careful you are and you'll have to fix it with TES5edit. Not sure why that happens, but its a nuisance when it does. I like the idea of just moving it below ground but if I recall the last time I tried navmeshing over any form of navmesh I would connect to the navmesh below routes like under roads and such. The distance didn't seem to matter. Sometimes I would edit land a few dozen cells away. I will have to try this again. Thanks.
  19. When Navmeshing an exterior, is it standard to take existing navmesh and mold it into your navmesh route or is it possible to delete it and dissolve/hide it like you do with a deleted item. I really should know the answer to this but I swear there isnt a decent tutorial on navmeshing exteriors in a large scale in Tamriel. Thanks in advance.
  20. Male biology 101. Myself, I prefer to immerse in my RPG's as a reflection of myself. So I only play male characters and have a big dislike for video game developers who portray women in unrealistic settings in their video games. For those who like to modifying their game, I see no issue with it.
  21. Think it would be ideal to have them both in the same place as they fit in the same place. More publicity and both types looking to work on existing projects aren't very common I would presume. That's speculation however. I am a level designer and I like to make towns. I understand every element of the creation kit except quest, script writing and dialogue. Ebonvale is my only notable project but I would like to work with someone who would be able to add functionality and character to my designs.
  22. Personally I found quest design/dialogue to hurt me head and would be nice to have a similar thread for level designers seeking quest designers. Or perhaps having the two in one thread. I have been seeking one for awhile. Cool idea anyway.
