  1. Thanks for your response weirdwayne. I've been there enough to know there was nothing there already but a rock mountain. If you climb the mountain and jump down on the area above the door, I found a trap door up there. So I was able to get inside. The place wasn't nearly as nice as the description lead me to believe. I could go out the front door but not come back in. It's just a weird mod.
  2. On the Bethesda Web Cite there is a PC version of a player home called Thieves' Den. The description sound like it is pretty nice and I want to check it out. However the MA doesn't tell you how to get into it. I'm at the front door but the door doesn't register as being a door. Has anyone had any experience with this mod?
  3. I put the name of the mod in the title of the thread, Teleport Spell SSE. All of the other spell book were found on the top of a barrel near the entrance to the town. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1910
  4. For this mod I've found all of the teleport spell books for all of the Cities except for Solitude. and I've spent a lot of time looking and have checked every barrel near the entrance many times. Could someone please tell me where it is?
  5. Well but i like the basement area, for putting my followers there. About quoting..... OK got the quoting thing, works as advertised. I'll check out Nethers Follower Framework. As you probably gathered I'm not entirely satisfied with Followers Can Relax. That's a good point about putting the followers in the basement. Some of their lounging around is a bit annoying. Well, good luck in finding a new home, and thanks.
  6. OK. You get credit for pointing me to CC. I found a console command that worked. Go into console mode, target the actor then type "dismiss".
  7. I'm playing on an HP Omen. I just migrated from an Xbox where SkyrimSE had 4gb for mods and Fallout 4 had 2gb. I'm obviously wrong about the mod space on the PC. If I have unlimited mod space now, that's great, good to hear. Microsoft doesn't allow anyone on an Xbox to log into Nexus. As far as Skyfall and half a house, you only need the top three floors. The basement is a separate load screen. Your frame rate probably drops because the top thee floors is such a large load area. I just added a mod that lets me move all of my followers into the house, and all eight of them fit comfortably. That mod is Followers Can Relax. You old hands probably know of some better ones. The follower room has eight beds btw. There is another 4 beds in the small guest room. The two children's rooms on the top floor has another 6 beds, but you said that your not into having children. I usually adopt 6 kids. I don't like seeing orphans sleeping out in the cold but I put them in a house that I rarely visit so that I'm not being constantly pestered. I'd like to know how you do the ...Quote... in your response to me Ms schnubbel76, if you wouldn't mind. When I try to use the quote I get their entire response and it doesn't let me limit the quote to just a sentence. My PC which is brand new has an i9 processor, Intel's latest and greatest. I was playing around with how to display the performance when I am in game and running around, as you obviously were doing. Going into the house, my CPU performance got to 21% and fps stayed unregistered, which I assume means full speed.
  8. The Legacy of the Dragonborn mod is huge, a little under 2gb. That's almost half of the mod space. I'd like to check out this home but the mod won't fit in my game with the mods I have now.
  9. Thanks for your response Aria. However I don't know what you mean by CC. I tried that as a console command, but nothing. Or does CC stand for console command, and if it does, what is the command, Dismiss? Also I couldn't find the animal/follower framework mod, and I spent quite a while looking. Could you please elaborate?
  10. Thanks for these two referrals. I love trying new mods. I see definite potential with Hoarders Chest. I need to play with it some more before I decide if I want to keep it. Unfortunately Blackthorn is right on top of another of my properties, Waterview. Waterview is a master file for two other properties so I can't get rid of it.
  11. I have a fondness for Stalhrim Bows, but for some reason the Stalhrim Bows in my game are invisible. When you select them they don't show a picture of it and when you draw them back, all you see is the arrow. I don't have this problem with any other weapon. This is probably a mesh problem, but I don't have any weapons mods that would change the meshes. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have a solution?
  12. I've spent a lot of time looking for the same thing. The best one I've found is Skyfall Estate, although Hemlock Hall from Bethesda runs a close second. Skyfall Estate comes in two versions: prebuilt and a buildable edition. It has the most complete trophy room I've seen. The Armory is big but not too big. This is a big assed mansion, but it doesn't feel like one. It does have everything you said you needed. There is also a very large room for followers. I never furnish that room but I think it has room for ten. The stairwells are wide. Your followers are not going to get stuck in them. If you want to furnish the basement, you can put another 20 or so down there. You can teleport into the home and also fast travel from the inside the house. It also has unload containers for crafting supplies, soul gems, ingredients and food which are very useful. When you craft something the materials you put in those containers are automatically loaded so you don't have to run around to various containers to gather supplies. The Estate is conveniently located across the road from Honningbrew Meadery. Another thing I like about this player home. It is one big roomy house. You can go from the crafting area to the armory to the trophy room with out having to pass through doors that load that section. In each of the three "came close" homes that you mentioned above you have you to pass through doors that load that section. I recommend the buildable version because you also get with that version a vendor at the Bannered Mare, the man who sold you the house, who stocks a quarter million septims worth of building and crafting supplies. The house includes a vendor/domestic servant and two male followers. The buildable version lets you select which of those you have. The estate has four floors, but I never furnish the basement. No need to. Also with the buildable version you can find a container on the top floor with all the building supplies you need to completely furnish the Estate. If your having performance issues this might not work for you. I threw out my Xbox X and replaced it with an HP Omen with an i9 processor because my Xbox would crash when trying to get into this house. btw I'm always looking for good mods, especially player homes. So I gave Lake Haven, Rayek's End and Elysium Estate a look.
  13. I accidentally touched a stray Dog on my way up to the last vigil. Now I can't get rid of the damned thing. It can't be killed. I send it to the darkroom, where I send all NPCs I want to get rid of, but it comes back when I fast travel. Could someone please make a mod that will let me dismiss an animal follower.
  14. LOL OK, a chicken huh. Never killed a Chicken in Riverwood. Have to try that  The goats are usually running and Fireball has a blast radius of 10 feet or so. So you only have to get close to them to lay them out. By the way. Mud crabs are my favorite friends for leveling up some skills. There is a small pond just East of Dustman's Carin with five mud crabs around it. I'll go there and let them beat on my armor, light or heavy, while I'm also leveling up Illusion using the courage spell or Conjuration using the soul trap spell and/or Restoration. Oh, but don't use soul trap on the two Mammoths that are usually standing nearby. They'll charge and kill your crabs.
  15. Skills increase when they're used against a "Valid Opponent". I wouldn't consider a goat to be a valid opponent, but the game does. I've gotten destruction skill level ups blasting goats with a fireball. I also know that Mud Crabs and Deer are valid opponents for the same reason. I'm wondering about foxes and rabbits.
  16. I finished playing with Kryptopyr's mod. It doesn't do what I hoped it would do, give lock picking skill credit for picking locks that you'd opened before. I went to the Thieves Guild and opened the five chests in the training room again. My lock picking skill meter didn't budge. He does drop your current lock picking skill by 40 points which makes it considerably harder to pick a lock. That's what he means by making picking locks more "challenging". To me that is going backwards. I look for mods that make the game easier, not harder. Besides Lock picking in Skyrim is already 3 times harder than it is in Fallout 4. It doesn't need to be any harder. I didn't notice a lot of difference in the sneak and pickpocket skills other than a few miner changes to the skill trees. It's fun to check out different mods, but I won't be keeping this one.
  17. I described the original problem in this https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8633853-recover-from-a-fatal-error/ I just finished uninstalling and reinstalling SkyrimSE but it is still crashing. I don't know what else to try. I have a question. My "Saved Games" folder is empty. Is this where my play throughs are kept? If it is, they are gone, yet I see them in the game's Continue screen in the Load option. But even if they weren't deleted that wouldn't explain why the game also crashes when I start a new game, Another question: I'm using MO2. I have my load order set up in MO2 so I have been ignoring the load order in the Mods option of the game's Continue screen. Could that be a problem? Progress note one. I thought of something else to try. I disabled all of my mods in MO2 and was able to start a new play through without it crashing, so I know the problem is mod related. Progress note two. I reactivated every one of my mods without the crashing problem coming back. So this problem has apparently gone away and I'll never know what was causing it.
  18. I'm referring to the Mercenaries that you randomly run into and when you talk to them they say "There's been word of some trouble nearby, I'm on my way to investigate". They eventually say that they are going to mark the location on my map. At this point I always look at my map, but I've yet to see a new location marked on it. Are they purposely marking a location that I've already discovered? What kind of mark are they using? How "nearby" are these locations?
  19. I'll give Kryptopyr's mod a try when I'm able to, it will be a few days before I can do that. I am using SSE but I need to reinstall it. Thanks for the tip.
  20. Also the four locked display cases in the Jarl's quarters in dreagonsreach. Almost all locked chests, locked display cases and locked jail cells reset after 30 in-game days when the cell resets, but locked doors no. That is if the location resets at all. The doors on most houses are locked at night or when the occupants are away, no matter how many times you unlock them if the occupant has gone through the door. I would think there would be some general game perimeters that could be fixed instead of having to deal with each individual lock.
  21. I'm not talking about when you fail to pick a lock, miss ShadeyBlady. I'm talking about when you successfully pick a lock, like the five chests in the Thieves Guild, and then after a while the locks reset and you come back and successfully pick them all again. The vanilla game doesn't give any lock picking skill credit the second time you pick them and I think it should. No, I haven't tried any "Stealth Skills Rebalanced" mods because I haven't known what to look for. If I can find some of those, I'll give them a try. Doing a Mod search on the word "Stealth" and again on "Skill" I didn't see anything that sounded like what I'm looking for.
  22. I was trying to clean up MO2 to get rid of some junk, mods that were bugged or that I no longer wanted. I didn't know the right way to do that. I do now thanks to a lot of help I got from Al12rs. The first mod I tried to get rid of was Heljarchen Farm. I made a fatal mistake of doing a search of my computer for all references to Heljarchen Farm and I then deleted them, some 70 references. That took care of getting that mod off of MO2 but it gave me an even bigger problem. Every time I try to start my game now it crashes. If I try to start a new play through it immediately crashes. I reinstalled that mod, but the game still crashes. I finally got my LOOT detector to work, but it doesn't tell me anything. I fixed the one problem it pointed out but that didn't solve my crashing problem. I've tried everything I can think of to try and recover from that fatal error but nothing has worked. I'm at the point where I think I need to scrap everything and start all over again from scratch, reinstall the game, all of my mods, reinstall MO2 etc. That's a lot of work and it will take a lot of time. I would appreciate any suggestions for an easier route to take. I'm familiar with Xbox. When you uninstall a game on Xbox everything goes away: your mods, your play throughs everything connected to the game. On the PC is there any way to save some of those things before uninstalling?
  23. It has never made any sense that you only get Lock picking skill credit the first time you pick a lock. It is just as hard to pick the lock the second and third time you pick the same lock after it has reset. We should be getting a skill credit bump every time we pick a lock. Trying to fix every lock as I ask above might be too much and too complicated. If we could just limit that to a fix for locked chests, that would be fine.
  24. Chrome seems to be much better for logging in to Nexus. I'll be using that to log in. I never did like Microsoft's Edge. Thanks for your advice Jimmy.
