  1. Nice, I mostly agree. I would make two suggestions myself, though- first would be a "disarm" option at the first level. It feels disingenuous to me to just leave raider scum armed with my back turned to them. Second, I would make it more difficult to pacify most enemies when they have allies nearby- think one part peer pressure, one part confidence boost.
  2. Technically, lasers should be silent, recoilless and invisible by default- lasers aren't visible without some kind of medium to refract/reflect them, and lasers are just light. Does your flashlight make sound? Does it recoil? Nope. This will be the first thing I fix when the GECK is released- provided it's all simple value tweaks. I'm afraid I can't handle anything more complicated than that.
  3. I agree. I also take issue with how some of the perks themselves work. Namely, how the point sinks like gun nut and locksmith don't do much of anything outside their narrow scope. And with speech checks now relying solely on charisma, as opposed to relevant stats/perks in previous games... The whole balance feels off-kilter. Once the GECK is released, I expect we'll see things come up like T3ndo's Perkus Maximus. I certainly hope so, at any rate.

  6. I'd love to see this happen. Even if it was a simple expansion of the "need any help around the forge?" quest thingy.
  7. I had to do the same thing. All I did was untick the mod from the plugins list on nmm, and started from a save before the fight (right before you use bend will on the dragon). I had no issues with Miraak after that. Once the fight was over, I ticked DCO back on. No issues, no fuss. Maybe I'm just stupidly lucky.

  11. It would make a lot of sense in my opinion. Like being tased. Honestly, I always found the side effects of destruction spells to be strange. Like, shouldn't being turned into a pile of ash be a side effect of fire spells? And ice spells could, I don't know, have a small chance to flash-freeze the target maybe?

  16. Maybe messing around with the spell meshes so that it just looks like you have a staff in hand while a spell is equipped? Seems like it'd be easier to do in the ck

  20. I like this idea too, but considering the fact that we're still waiting for a good spear mod... I doubt we'll be seeing this any time soon. =\
  21. Actually got it to work this morning. I don't know what exactly I did different from last time, considering most of my interaction with the CK seems to consist of stumbling around in the dark until I find a lightswitch...
  22. So, long story short, I'm trying to replace some vanilla weapon meshes with meshes from another mod, but whenever I do I get an error on the preview in the CK. Anyone have any idea where I may be going wrong? All the meshes I want to use are in the skyrim>data>meshes directory.
