  1. Thanks. I've been playing through a lot lately. Everything seems to be working well. The only trouble I'm having is finding a good scrapping mod. I like to be able to clean up trash and clutter. I can't believe Bethesda didn't think of that. I've been using scrap everything, but it's buggy, So now I'm lookling at Immersive Scrapping and Tidy up, even though they haven't been updated in a long time. I'm really not impressed with any of the city plans in Slim settlements 2. then again, those were probably made without a scrap it all mod. If you guys have any advice for a good scrap mod, I'd like to hear it.
  2. I've been having some issues. I couldn't get the weapon circle mod to play nice with the other mods and couldn't figure out how to put items in the weapon circle so I ditched it. The rest seemed to be working fine and I was playing with Slim Settlements 2. I thought, well, things are wormking so I'm gonna start a fresh game and really get into it. So I restarted, we ran to the vault, and then everyone dropped to there death in the vault elevator. Respawned, ran to the vault again, and the same thing happenned, there are a couple mods I removed which could have left loose files bhind, or maybe It's because I had a few mods activated in MCM before I started? Not sure what went wrong but I'm doing a fresh install now. There were also some missing walls inside interiors. Something is wrong, hopefully I can fix it. I really didn;t have many mods, but I'm new to modding this game, so I guess I'll figure it out.
  3. Okay, so I installed all of those user interface mods and am all of a sudden feeling like a noob. When Vortex prompts me to choose which files to load first i am at a loss. I clicked on recommended but it doesn't make sense. Why would i want Def_Framework to load before HudFramework, FalloutUI_ Hud, and FalloutUI_Inventory? I'm going to try recommended for all of it, but would appreciate some advice. I was installing Def-Framework because Slim Settlements 2 requires it. Did I mess up?
  4. Thanks, those are very good recommendations. I noticed right away that the settlement containers don't seem to share what I put in them. I got the first set of power armor, then took it to the Rocket mart, and threw them in the Power Armor hoist container. Then I went back to the first town with the Minute man after the fight with the death claw. I noticed I would have to go all the way to Rocket mart to get the power armor and modify it. Is there any mod to make all the differetn work benches share the resources I put in them? It's one cheat i wouldn't mind using.
  5. Hi guys. I've been modding Bethesda games since Oblivion, and have made quite a few of my own which I never published, so I am not new to modding. However, After playing a lot of hours on Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I ditched the Fallout series for Skyrim. Well, I've owned this game fo at least 4-5 years now, and am just getting around to playing it through. So I was wondering what mods you guys might recommend. Are there any must have performance mods I must have? I'm always interested in mods which add extra lands and locations to explore. So far I've mostly installed eye candy mods, the MCM, and a few that add armors, hair doos, etc...I'm not trying to stray too far from Vanilla gameplay until I know what changes I would wat to make. If you recommend a mod that changes vanilla missions or game balance, please explain why I would want to. Also, I'm very interested in Slim Settlements 2 but have been reading very recent issues with it, just wondering your opinions on that.
  6. I read about a mod a long time ago which replaces and rebalances all the duplicate vanilla armors in game. It's annoying to me when I have a bunch of trousers and gloves that all look the same with different names and stats. More is not better. Even better, is there a mod that replaces all these ugly armors with nordic armors? I really don't like dressing Gerault like a british circus actor or Austin Powers. I'm sorry, but armors in this game are just stupid looking. I've never modded this game, I don't know what hidden gems are vailable.
  7. I meant to post in Witcher 3, trying to figure out how to delete this.
  8. I agree with all that is said. I was barely was into gaming when I buiilt my first PC and bought Fallout 3, and Oblivion. Fallout 3 was a buggy pile of crap right out of the box with constant CTD's same as Oblivion. This is the only reason I leanred about mods on Nexus, because of Bethesda garbage. Fallout New Vegas was also buggy, so was Skyrim. They never polish their games and test before releaseing them. And they do rely on the mod community to fix their crap. Did you know, the Bethesda team is only about 400 people? Compared to major game makers, that is a very small team. And then they made the decision to break off from their two main series, which they barely had enough man power to finish development to begin with, and make other games which don't even interest me in the slightest, but apparentely they knew that's what we wanted. I wonder how those are selling. Lest we forget, that instead of fixing game bugs, often times they just remove the content, and they don't even clean up after themselves. Look at the Cutting Room Floor mod series as an example. A modder, adding back content that Bethesda either Deleted, or just didn't finish in the first place. How is it that Bethesda can legally remove content from a game just because they are too lazy to repair what they didn't test in the first place? I have placed Fallout 3, Oblivion, New Vegas, Oldrim and SSE. I have owned Fallout 4 for two years and still haven't played through it yet. I leave the first town and realize it is just more of the same, then I shut it off and forget it. I loved my Skyrim, but it's been too long and I can't handle another playthrough. I knew Fallout 76 was going to flop so I neve bothered buying it and I'm willing to bet Elder Scrolls 6 will pretty much end the series and will be an unplayable pile of trash not worth looking at. So now begins my search for a high quality next gen open world RPG to replace the 'Idea' of the Elder Scrolls Series, and it's too bad. Throwing in the towel on Bethesda now.
  9. I just wanted to mention that a very fun game is Mad Max. The graphics are pretty good and beuatiful for a wasteland. There is a ton of stuff to do, the hand to hand combat is brutal ands satisfying and the vehicular warfare is the best I have found. The story is cinematic, there are great special effects that really give you the feeling of speeding out throught he wastes blasting and ripping through enemy vehicles. The action is great. The fight mechanics are A.I. based. What i Mean, is that instead of having to punch a sequence of keys at just the right time in order to do one ridiculous special punch, the A.I. tells when you can execute unlocked moves. It has to be that way because you are usually fighting between 3 and 10 enemies all at once. But it works out very well. I say the combat is great for button mashers, being there are only about 4 buttons you actually use during all the combat, but the A.I. does very well at keeping it interesting and brutal. Negatives about the game. The main story line is too short, there is a touch of 'more is better' in the game, meaning there are a lot of scavenging locations that are all uneventful giving the game a repetitive feel at times, ( it's also good thing). When I say good thing, I don't mean the repetition, what I mean is, the setting is immersive. You can go from taking down an armored convey with tons of explosions and action and excitement, to a nice calm wasteland experience with a vacant feeling of eeriness in a few minutes. However, there can always be danger. If you step out of your car on the road, you are fresh meat for somebodies grill if you are not careful. As far as an RPG, it is not very good. Obviously you are Mad Max, not a custom character or species, and levelling up and character building always ends up the same, there are no special stats to hone, you unlock the moves and weapons as you progress, and are always the same exact character in the end. But with all that said, if you want some good action, Mad Max is worth having in your list. As for me, I've been a Mad Max fan since I was younger and the game did the movie series good justice. In fact the back story of this game should be made into the next Mad MAx movie in my opinion. It's awesome. Currently I am looking for the next Gen RPG to replace Skyrim, and please don't say the Witcher 3. Not trying to be a critic but honestly, the game just doesn't keep me interested. Not enough action or heroics, or something, just isn't there. I need a replacement for Skyrim. I am one of those who likes the AAA games, sorry, but the old graphics and short games just don't cut it for me. I wish I could enjoy AA games, but I've been at it too long and I want the beautiful landscapes, and gripping stories, and action and fantasy. All of it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a next gen open world rpg? Wasn't trying to hijack your thread.
