  1. I didn't think i posted this.. But yeah, something like that - Just higher detail.
  2. There was a mod posted here yesterday which supposedly fixes as much of the vampire look. Since I'm assuming about the aging of your character.. It does do a pretty good job. Another method i also hear.. If you go on a massive feeding frenzy, it should make your character look a bit younger again. (This is theory however) Jav'
  3. I would only like to stop cheats like god mode etc.. But TCL for when stuff.. isn't working properly.. That's a different story. In all fairness. You only need to show a little bit of restraint. I have levellers tower installed; Only use the Nightmare horse, and thats it Jav'
  4. With the release of Dawnguard and the "Vampire's vs Werewolves" theme. Would anyone be kind to make a Van Helsing kind of armour? Take a look through this google images link.. Cheers Jav
  5. I'm assuming this is partly why my character ages horribly when I accept the Vampire Lord "Gift"
  6. For me.. I really want to play the game. I really do. I got the Xbox 360 version of the game about a week or so after it came out. Played it for 10minutes.. Didn't have time to play it again after that for like.. 2 months. When I got around to playing it again - I played it excessively. Later, I built a new PC which would be able to run it, so I bought Skyrim. Installed a bunch of mods. Played a maximum of 18 hours in total ever since I bought the game towards the end of May. The best part is.. I didnt' even do any quests. Not even the mods could fill my desire to play the game. I want to play Dawnguard.. But it's VERY buggy - Now, I'm not sure whether that's because I didn't start a new game so everything could... resyncronise again. - The first lever/chain door didn't work. Had to use a console command (TCL) to get through that. - Then immediately at the second door (just after you left the previous zone with the lever door) (Where you meet the Mysterious Woman) - The lever didn't work there either. So I used the TCL Command again. When I completed the little puzzle (which looked awesome) Guess what I see? A Red Triangle with an Exclamation Mark (!) It gets worse than this. After getting through this mountain of bugs (Clairvoyance being one of them) - I arrive at the final quest target (Barely one quest into the expansion) - Where a guard yells "Open the Gate Lady Serana has returned" - The gate doesn't open.. TCL Command again. I didn't bother playing after that (This was within the last two to three hours btw)
  7. The second post was awesome.. I found the forums are quite sluggish aswell, at least comparing it to usual!
  8. It sounds like a graphics driver issue - Nvidia have released new BETA drivers - Give them a try.. They are actually very good (Assuming your GTX580's are Nvidia's brand though
  9. Personally - I didn't like how it changed your entire appearance. I didn't mind the eyes change, because they looked cool and spooky. I can't see there being such a mod as of yet - Besides that. I was a victim of doors not opening when you hit the levers. VERY frustrating.
  10. You will not find any help here. This community does not help pirates as they are a plague among gaming communities. We can't and won't help you. The only thing I can say is: Tell your friend to buy the game like the rest of us. Jav'
  11. Switched my Graphics drivers to the new BETA ones.. No crashes at all. If you exclude the fact that when my display switched off due to innactivity, it wouldn't reactivate. That is now fixed, my display never turns off :) Problem solved.. Reseated all the hardware. Please lock!
  12. Out of all the systems.. Each has their good and bad points. Nintendo Wii - I'd say this is best suited for many players at a time, family or friends, eating junk food and having a few beers, or wine if you're a lass, or a glass of coca cola if you're not old enough to drink alcohol. The selection of games ain't great since most are just remakes.. But nontheless, many are still fun titles. Xbox 360 - I'd say has the best Online capability, with a more broad selection of titles to choose from. Playstation 3 - Never played it online, the capability these days seems much more stable in all honesty. Looks great too, especially in a stand for a Samsung Black 50" 1080p television. Only reason I'd consider a PS3 was to play Metal Gear Solid 4 (and it's 8 Hours of Cutscenes) Out of all of them. PC is better.
  13. I was referring to the "Your Account is Corrupt and you will have to start a new one" part. I pointed this out in my previous post.. Now it's in gold (Above). This is the part I think is completely unrealistic. Accounts don't become corrupt, your account still exists, and isn't lost like data being destroyed by a virus. You forgot the e-mail and password to the account which your parents had put onto it for some degree of parental control. Even the most basic of Customer Support Team know what "Corruption of Data" means - Hence why I think it is totally unrealistic. If you somehow managed to obtain that.. You will be able to get the account back. It isn't really at a fault of Microsoft, but I agree in the sense that it is pretty lame that you can't just retrieve the account through the main set of recoveries (With the e-mail you provided to create the account) Edit - There is are a number of sad truths in all of this. 1 - Customers never blame themselves for doing something stupid. It's always the fault of the company 2 - Xbox Live Accounts, World of Warcraft accounts, SWTOR Accounts, RuneScape - You name it.. When people lose their accounts, the company is ALWAYS blamed by the customer for it - Even when 99% of the time, it's the customers fault. (Unless it is Sony - Which they did deserve to be blamed for that loss of personal data) When I played World of Warcraft - I deleted a character which had 3 sets of Heirlooms - Now those who played the game, know how long it takes of grinding to get that many (Plus about 40k in Gold which I'd forgot about until some months later) - Now who's fault is that? I asked about recovering it, but the character was unable to be recovered. I didn't blame Blizzard for this - I blamed myself. To which a Game Master said to me "I appreciate how you accepted the responsibility of this, as most tend to blame us for their errors" Jav'
  14. Just an update.. Power issue is fine now - I realised it was probably the ATX Cable as the computer was pushed too far back (Leaving extremely little space for the cable to enter the power supply) There is still a crash issue.. I did actually get a Blue Screen today shortly after i switched my computer on; including one or two full crashes (everything freezes and unresponsive) - Got a feeling it's the graphics drivers.
  15. Try launching it in Windowed Mode. I can't remember if there was a client ever made like there was in F:NV where it launched in a Windowed-Borderless Mode.
  16. To the OP - I'm not wholly surprised. Microsoft are notorious for things like that; but I really doubt its intentional. They'd probably pay a sum out to Motorola and get the ban lifted.. But at this stage, considering they are supposedly pushing towards the end product of the 720.. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even bother. I can't see them making that mistake with the 720, probably will develop something in house. I'm sorry, but where on earth did you get 11 years from for Xbox 360? It's 7 years for North America.. PS3 is not new tech :P "It means your account is corrupted and you'll have to start a new one" - This sounds ridiculous.. I've had an Xbox Live account since it launched, and it is still functioning properly. "The E-Mail" was missing - From the sounds of it, you and;or your parents forgot the e-mail address; which tends to cause a lot of problems in all honesty. I've had my first Xbox 360 since 2007, and I've never had problems with it until I stopped playing on it for a year - I stopped using my Xbox again 3 months ago when i built this new computer.. Before then, I didn't use it at all since Spring 2011.. Financially, I think Microsoft are quite nice people. As recently I had 2 Xbox Live accounts (god knows why) on annual renewal. Took payments off me, i contacted them and told them i no longer use xbox live and they immediately refunded the £80, plus the dates for the time to clear etc. I'd say you were prodding the troll because of how unrealistic a lot of your post sounds; and the use of language. And for Sony... They've made just as many screw ups as Microsoft. I have a burning hatred for both companies; Purely because the console market is holding back any decent looking games these days. It's much cheaper to produce for console. But PC end up having to put up with trashy ports from consoles, which don't allow you to optimise the game to YOUR hardware - Such as Prototype 1 and 2. Get a maximum of 30-35 FPS even if you're running a GTX680 - Which is probably the best graphics card on the market. Instead, the game optimises itself to the consoles CLEARLY OUTDATED hardware. I am so glad that Tribes: Ascend and Blacklight Retribution stayed away from consoles Playstation 3... The only game I'd consider getting the Console for, is MGS4, and that's what? 2-3 years old now? Jav'
  17. lol I know that I mean try to short the power pins to see if the buttons are faulty(Don't short anything else! :) Do below to check your PSU try your friends ram and psu on your motherboard for the restart problem I have decided to reseat some of the cabling, replacing the extender connection, aswell as tidy up the cabling to improve air flow... So far so good - Temperature dropped by 5c :) and the power switch now works without me having to put my hand in the case. The power supply is fine, and functioning properly.
  18. try the inbuild win 7 memory test ->Start Menu->Run->type mdsched->select "Restart now..." Active PFC,your PSU should have this Don't put any pressure on the connector or you will damage the two-pins as well as cable. Check your power strip for proper Grounding, its not good to power on in such case) your ATX cable pins are OK if its not restarted Did the Memtest with windows - Came up blank, everything seems to be in order with that. The Power SW/Reset SW Cables (Pressure)- I am referring to the extender connection which I had to use (which comes as standard with the motherboard) - Removing these will not power down the system, it will just stop the buttons from working. My PSU does have an Active PFC with Surge Protection.
  19. It's probably down to GameStop, Game Group Ltd (Game/Gamestation) UK taking the piss out of the developers. Including something which is probably based on Anti-Piracy. If they do this with the 720, I won't care. Because the PC Market will just become stronger again. The video below contains strong language Pirates always seem to get the best deals, while it's those who pay legitimately who will get the short end of the stick (every time) Many developers are pissing off their customers, Ubisoft and EA are fine examples of this. UbiSoft - Assassin's Creed (A single player game) - and having to have access to the internet to play single player. Many have taken up this model.. Diablo 3, which was abysmal on launch day, and still has problems even to this day. EA - Online passes to get some money back for the Game Groups selling used copies etc.
  20. I'll tried MemTest86+ and it simply just refused to boot at all; both CD and USB Versions of the software. I will have to get back to you on these ones. Messed around with the ATX Cable - Only very minor changes (0.003-0.007v changes) on the 4 which were listed- But still exceeded the minimum required to run. Listings: 1.5V, 3V, 5V, 12V Just switched this off. Didn't do anything - It's not the BSOD though. Voltage - If I remember correctly; isn't it a little different in the UK than in the US? My BIOS - It is correctly showing 8GB RAM, same with DirectX Diagnostics and the "Windows Experience Index" Stresstest - It capped between about 80-89% CPU Usage (Left it for half hour - and nothing happened) - Let me point out; I do not have photosensitive epilepsy.. But i did feel weird looking at it, and received a headache within 5 seconds. :) I have a feeling that it is my Power SW and Reset SW cables which are faulty. Power Switch will not work at all without additional pressure on the connector to the motherboard.. When I try to switch the machine on.. I don't feel a desire to earn a shocking experience. So, if it turns out to be that.. I'll just remove the cooling within the case itself and buy a new one. Edit: I tweaked the RPM's of the CPU Cooling as it was running at only 2600 (which is about 45%) - Increased the RPM's to 3000. Seen a temperature drop of about 2C Appreciate the assistance so far :) Jav'
  21. I looked on AmazonUS and couldn't find the Nvidia version of the graphics card. Nor the current case I have.. The current case I have cost £30 (About 45 USD) but i'm guessing because the manufacturers are based in the UK, it will not be available in the US If you don't intend to overclock, then it's not a problem.
  22. I'd suggest you just build a new one if I'm being completely honest. My current (New) PC I built for around £500 (Roughly 750USD) that depends on the exchange rates though. I'd say my system has a nice foothold on the middleground. Not top of the line, but certainly not crappy either. I did buy a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Home Premium for about £65 (Approx 90 USD) Had a look on Amazon. Here are my hardware pieces: Motherboard: ASUS M5A99X-EVO (AM3+) (135 USD) CPU: AMD 8-Core FX-8120 (3.1ghz) - (160 USD) RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mhz (8GB) (55 USD) Power Supply: 700W OcZ Technologies - (80 USD) Hard Drive: Western Digital 1TB SATA Hard Drive (90 USD) Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti - You're looking at another 160-180 USD. (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-560ti) You're only looking at around 700 USD for a decent system. I've attached the information about the graphics card.. That is my current system i've linked. Had no problems with it so far in terms of graphical capabilities. Skyrim plays on 60FPS on high settings :)
  23. Hi all. I built a new system at around the end of May (Since it was the first one I'd built myself) - Which up to now.. has been a total success. Here is my hardware listing: Motherboard: ASUS M5A99X EVO (Socket AM3+) CPU: AMD 8-Core (FX-8120) 3.1ghz RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance (DDR3) 1600mhz Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX560 Ti (1gb DDR5) Power Supply Unit: MODXSTREAMPRO 700W from OCZ Technologies Unfortunately; it has now started to develop problems. Now I've no idea whether that has something to do with driver updates. Which, I have come to rule out completely; and here is why. 1. BIOS Settings Screwing up. Primarily after I removed the Power lead from the back (Much like what happened with the Original Xbox if you disconnected the system from the Power completely). After replacing the BIOS battery on my motherboard; problem 1 was solved. The BIOS settings do save properly, and I don't have to keep setting up the sodding Boot device everytime I disconnect it from the Power. However, this hasn't solved my problem of my system rebooting 2. Downloading a bogus Blacklight: Retribution copy I didn't even think to check Steam -Do not mistaken this for Piracy, as the game is Free to Play. Needless to say I did end up downloading what happened to be a Worm; immediately picked up by Firewall and Anti-Virus; removed it. No more traces are found by any security software I have installed. By far the dumbest thing I have done in a long time. This was around when problems started occurring.. Oh Joy. 3. BIOS was not recognised the fact I have 8gb of RAM installed, and was only showing I had 4gb. (DXDIAG was picking up 8GB) Usually restarts are caused by RAM which is for example: Putting DDR2 with DDR3 RAM. Solved this issue which crept up by pressing the MemOK! switch on the Motherboard ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anyway.. I am well untruely out of ideas as to why my system keeps either: Crashing (To a point where it is completely unresponsive - I.E. Mouse cursor doesn't move, CTRL+ALT+Delete doesn't work) visually, totally unresponsive. The Restarting. Usually caused either by RAM not being compatible with each other or overheating. I don't have that problem with compatibility. and the temperature of my hardware is low - and on top of that, I don't even have the "Increased Performance, More Heat" option enabled in my BIOS. Hardware Temperature Listings (According to my BIOS):(I believe the shutdown temperature it must exceed nearly twice that of the CPU listings below (As minimum setting) CPU: 42 C (107.5 F) Motherboard: 24 C (75 F) Graphics Card: 37 C (99.5 F) My computer case has a lot of cooling within it. 1x 3.5" Fan at the front, 2x 3.5" on the side detachable panel (The part you take off to get at the hardware itself) 1x 3.5" on the back of the case (next to all the peripheral ports on the back) 1x 2.5" on the Graphics Card 1x 2.5" on the CPU (Including the Cooling Paste) that comes with the standard CPU these days. 1x 4" within the Power Supply 1x 2.5" on the back of the Power Supply Note: IT DID, crash and reboot when making this post.. I love Firefox. I have now detached the cable which is linked to the Reset Button (Granted should only solve the reboot problem). If this doesn't work.. I've REALLY no idea what else to do. I have tried pretty much everything I can possibly think of. (Note: Turns out detaching the Reset SW cable stops the Power button from functioning aswell despite being COMPLETELY seperate) Could I be wrong about the drivers my system uses? I know Nvidia have had some really shoddy driver releases over the last few months. But I can't think of anything else; it's beyond frustrating now! Thanks Javalin..
  24. Unfortunately, that's the sad truth of gaming. Although Male players still are the majority, there are certainly a comparable number of female gamers too. Everybody knows of the internet thing - It's a common thing among anything such as Xbox Live, MMORPGs such as TERA, World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic. "There are no "REAL" girl gamers" or "There are no girls on the internetz" In one of the posts it mentions a "Get back to the kitchen" - Which once again, that is commonly used by insecure teens (male) when they get their asses handed to them on FPS's. A very good friend of mine, she played in a competitive Halo 3 doubles league, and got to the finals. I believe it was XLeague; She, and her girlfriend (She's bisexual) were victims after the quarter finals had beaten this male team 3-0. I'd be behind any female who become victims of abuse like that. If it's Xbox Live for example, when my ex and i played together regularly (when we were in a relationship) - I lost count of how many times she got abused by males. Which most of the time resulted in a one on one match.. Where she would destroy them again. Which resulted in even more abuse like "Yeah well I bet you have a dick!" - She was just naturally good at FPS games; which many didn't seem to like very much. I can't stand anything like that, and would be happy to openly abuse the person doing it. Coming off the topic of gaming.. The bumbling idiot of a Director at FIFA had said something on the lines of: "Women Footballers need to wear something more Low Cut to make it more appealing to Men"
  25. A little.. History for you on the topic. There was a Project known as the "The MorroBlivion Project" - At first, it was a direct port over, just made prettier with the graphics in Oblivion. These days, Morrowind graphics are pretty shoddy. This is what you would expect from a game which is 11 Years Old. The team of people working on this Project, were looking to expand the entire game of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Expansions: Shivering Isles and The Knights of the Nine. The way they intended to do this was with this MorroBlivion Project. Consisting of the Original Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Expansions: The Tribunal and Blood Moon. Basically, it would allow the player to travel to Morrowind and experience that game world. A game from the same company, likely used by folk who bought the Original game. While many pirated the game, much like you see these days with any game on the market. There is bound to be a pirate. This Project was a very ambitious one; from what I'd seen of it. It was extremely accurate; probably because of the direct port, made flashier. However, Bethesda, Bethsoft and I believe 2k Gaming were not happy about this project - down to copyright infringement. Initially, nobody thought it would be a problem. What happened to the Project after this? I hear that the Project was shutdown - Then restarted sometime later. Everything would have needed to be created again from scratch I played the "Beta" version of the created from Scratch version. The download was around 1.5GB in its beta stages.. That's a hell of a big download considering. From what was in there, it did look very good. I'm not sure if it's still around these days. Why was it copyrighted? As stated above by Bben. Bethsoft gives us the permission to use any of the files within the game to create mods for Skyrim. But this does not extend to other games created by them, or in the same series of games. Some people argue the fact that "I own a copy of Morrowind/Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout 3 - So I should be able to use these files in whatever way I please" - On a publishers stand point, I can see the arguement.. But if you do own a copy of the game, that isn't pirated. Theoretically, you should be able to. But not everybody has a legitimate copy. - Now, I'm not sure if this extends to you owning a copy, then making ports for your own use.. I'm assuming it does. But even if you did, there is no way to prove it unless you say so. Much like the Pirates here.. The only reason we find out, is because they are nice enough to tell us :) - Nobody is squeaky clean in Piracy. I guarantee, everybody has pirated or plagiarized something at one point; whether they meant to do it or not. Even if they are ones who don't do it now.. Long winded post.. I'm sorry! Jav' In a nutshell.. Piracy is wrong, and I'd urge people not to do it. I do understand why it gets done (Overpriced, Not got the money to buy it) etc... But I don't condone it at all. I even bought two copies of Oblivion because one of them had broken.. Sucks :)
