One thing can happen when you have a mod that changes the mesh for something, say a juniper tree, and that mesh keeps the vanilla texture and then you have a different mod come behind that changes the texture for juniper trees which amounts to you having a different mesh provided from mod A that has a texture put onto it from mod B that is not compatible. This outlined scenario could be off, I dont remember exactly what happened to me with similar issue( which had to do with juniper trees) but i remember in one fashion or the other it had to do with two different mods that were changing meshes/textures on juniper trees and in game i was coming across juniper trees that did not have compatible meshes and textures. I was in wilderness and my fps tanked hard, I knew something was wrong so I used console to delete things on screen and quickly found that deleting the juniper tree i was seeing in game made my fps go back up, using MO made next part easy as I pulled out the meshes and textures for juniper tree from backup files that i have and threw them,with proper folders,into my MO mods folder and used MO front page to then tell me what other mods in my load order were touching those meshes and textures

Follow any tutorial on how to make follower mod. The first step though for doing it for a player char would be to open race menu in game with a save file that has desired player char as your char and to export head data, everything else would be covered in tutorial video.Thihk you have to export what is called an SPF file too while you in racemenu with desired char? cant remember but tutorial video would know. If you use MO you might have to be a little dodgy, I know with MO1 at least on my end I had to temporarily use my data folder by adding a meshes and textures folder with proper sub folders to house my creations main nif and dds files for char head while i did certain ck work And there is an old mod that might not be viable but you can check it out, it was called Familiar Faces and that mod lets you cheat process.

I had this problem once long ago. I believe the only thing I did to remedy it was to clean out my desktop, I had dust caked up on my cooling fans, think the rig was getting to hot.

skse is probably an ini, you should be able to open that folder and determine what mod contents goes to. whats in meshes folder and whats in scripts folder? i throw xedit backups in trash, you can keep wherever if you want. Never heard/seen ssedit cashe? Tools: do you have fnis installed? Meshes: have you ran bodyslide for body and armors?

presets need to be in your racemenu folder, which has an skse folder. Dl manually,open on desktop and place into racemenu/skse folders

Make sure you have skeleton arm fix clicked in fnis patches after you launch fnis

Do we know why the mod came down? Wish mod authors would indicate whether or not mod is faulty when they remove it. Guessing it something personal,and nothing is faulty with mod.but I go back and forth between skin textures and would like to know that mod is good.

in xedit, load all mods, then right click a mod and in pop up window click "other" then in new pop up box, click "options" turn off box that says "Hide Unused"
