  1. Just wanted to drop by and voice my appreciation for all the hard work, Dark0ne! I really like the way you're going with the site... Having a one central site and download manager for all my modding needs is quite the thing. There are already other sites trying to push something similar (the Curse Client comes to mind) but unlike them and their limited support, The Nexus and NMM have almost already achieved it, and I'm really glad to be a part of the community. Thanks for everything, keep up the good work!
  2. In response to post #10411475. #10411755, #10411811, #10411839, #10411853, #10411955, #10411958, #10412022, #10412042, #10412073, #10412111, #10412194, #10412216, #10412262 are all replies on the same post. Login works now, but I have a new "Go Faster, Go Premium!" message under my download manager, even though I am premium.
  3. In response to post #10410153. #10410207, #10410278, #10410455, #10410488, #10410509, #10410646, #10410758, #10410922, #10411093, #10411120 are all replies on the same post. Also having this problem. It indeed seems that the .config file is pointing to the old servers, and thus the login isn't working. You can probably just change the URLs in the config, but personally I'm not in a hurry, so I'll take the safer route and wait for NMM to get patched.
  4. Having all the same problems, so it's obviously server side. What I'm wondering is, is this just normal high traffic, or continuous DDoS attack? I can't imagine anyone attacking a place such as this with such force. I can understand and sometimes even respect hackers or DoS'ers with a political agenda, to battle against oppression and for your rights and whatnot, but I mean come on... a popular site for videogame mods? Seriously? Whatever it is, I sure picked the wrong time to get back into Skyrim and mods. Hope things get better soon. :/
  5. I was going to write how much I love this community, but it got way too long and boring so instead I'll just say thank you all for being such a great community, and thanks to Dark0ne and the Nexus staff for keeping this all together. Happy 2013, everyone!
  6. Hello! First off - I've been "modding" (as in downloading and installing mods correctly) Bethesda games since Oblivion, and I know all the basics, but I've never actually made anything myself. Anyhow, just last night I downloaded some custom animations (1H idle and 2H idle to be specific) and just dropped the anim files into the correct path. Now, these were quite feminine and they obviously applied to all NPCs, male or female, not just my character. This reminded me of Mayu's Animation Overhaul for Oblivion, which (as far as I could tell by looking at the files at the time) did something along the lines of actually making a new folder, and putting all the vanilla (i.e. NPC) animations there, thus making the default path to only apply for the PC, and also making it very compatible and easy to add animations to only your character. Or that's at least what I figured it did, I'm not really sure (can't check, I'm at work right now, haha). My question/request here is, can anything like MAO be done for Skyrim, or has it been done already? I've been searching but haven't found anything and to me this just sounds like something really must-have, especially when more and more animation files are coming out all the time. TL;DR - last paragraph. Also, I'm in a hurry (on lunch right now, gotta get back to work soon) so sorry if my text came out a bit funny.
  7. Sadly, no. You can only access in-game console on PC. :( Personally, I much prefer the UESP
  8. I don't know, if this has already been mentioned, (cba to read 9 pages, I'm lazy, I know!) but this has - as far as I know - been in the game since Oblivion (meaning also Fallout 3 and NV) and I just discovered it in Skyrim recently. Everyone knows the tfc- 'toggle free camera' -command, yes? Try doing tfc 1 It's the same thing but it basically freezes the game. Allowing you to take great mid-air or mid-battle screenshots. Like I said, it might have been mentioned, but it was not in the original post and since I just discovered this, I thought I'd share :) EDIT: Another underrated command is "help x 0" x can be anything from items to commands. The zero basically means it will show everything. For instance, maybe I need some crafting item like void salts quickly -- I could open up the wiki to check out the item code... Or simply type "help salts 0" or "help void 0" without the quotes. Then just use the Page Up and Page Down keys to scroll the results, find the code, and then just proceed with additem Just decided to throw that in, since it's so vital and useful, but too few people seem to know about it! The console is very powerful tool and the help command will save you from a lot of alt-tabbing ;) EDIT2: I now see that the help command is explained in the OP. Oh well, it's here too for the people who tend to miss these things, like me, haha.
  9. I might be wrong here because I don't have your skilz but don't you need some kind of chip in the xbox to run a pirate game? I wonder if you had the figures for how many PC pirate copies were out there compared to xbox ones, what would one find? I wasn't very specific but I never said you could MAKE mods on the xbox. yeah... !¬!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111!!!! ( for emphasis) I know you can also transport your xbox made and leveled character to the PC and then mod her the same as you would if you had started her on the PC you need both copies of the game of course, which i lucky have. Some people have managed to mod their characters on the PC and then use them back on xbox. I don't know how this is done and haven't done it. We did make a fix like this though, I had the Abomb bug on my Xbox character, My BF transported the save game over to PC, fixed it with a programme, and then transported her back to xbox so I could complete the game. I'm not a computer expert and don't pretended to be but thanx for your maturness in letting me know gently how much I fail!11!!! LO~L I promise I will try harder to be more better in this skils like you ... friend! I've been following this topic for awhile now, and would just like to swoop in and clear some things since there are some misunderstandings in your little argument you guys are having, here. No, you cannot mod Xbox 360 copy of Skyrim, because you would need to access the game files on the disc, install mods there, get the files back into the disc, and make your Xbox still read it. You can, however, transport the save file to PC and do some editing in it, but that is not actually considered modding in the sense that PR4Y and most of others here in Nexus understand it; however, in the Xbox 360/console community there is indeed "savegame modding", but that has nothing to do with Skyrim Mods, Nexus, or Bethesda wanting to bring mods to consoles. (To be fair, PR4Y did further stress this in his last sentence that he was talking about actual modding, not anything related to savegames. Also, for the record, he was not saying anything about "making" mods on Xbox.) Also, acting like the piracy on consoles isn't there, or is much smaller problem is foolish. It is there, even though there are more PC pirates (as far as I know, anyhow) there is still an increasing number of console pirates, and the actual numbers are big. It is a problem, and needs to be taken care of. Also, the mod chip you need for your console to play these pirated bootleg games, is quite easy to get, and install. Also, from what I've heard, you don't even need physical mod chip for PS3, there's a way of doing it with software only, or something. Sorry for swooping in to your conversation like that, I don't usually do this. I blame the lack of sleep. Anyway, carry on. EDIT: On topic, however -- I don't know which ones to blame; the developers, who just after all are companies, who need to make the biggest monies possible, or the average console user, who buys their (decreasing in quality all the time) products. Console user's standards get lower by the minute, so the company lowers theirs, as well. It's a neverending cycle of crap, that I feel must be stopped since it's affecting the PC, too, in the form of crappier games and even crappier console ports. How can it be stopped, however? I have no idea, and that troubles me.
  10. I never liked this new design but I realize I'll have to deal with it, since we won't be seeing the old one ever again. However, there's only two things I'd like to suggest. First and foremost oh god, please, fix the non-scaling layout. Looking at Nexus with a phone or a smallish laptop is fine, but with anything bigger than that, it's just way too much wasted space. =\ Nexus looks awful on my TV. Secondly, please bring back the grid view of files. You could see so many at any given time. Now it's just... You can only see like ten or so files... Not good at all. Getting those two problems fixed would make browsing Nexus so much better! EDIT: TheOblivionCrew1 here expressed everything just like I feel! I appreciate the hard work, and realize that it's for the better, but there's still problems and also the poll would have been nice.
  11. I still don't like the new design. However, since Nexus is my number one stop for mods to Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, I'll just have to learn to love the new design, then. : / R.I.P Old Nexus! :'( EDIT: I just realized that there's no grid option for viewing files AND the site doesn't scale well with my PC's monitor! (looked fine on my laptop's smaller screen...) I don't care much for all the wasted space there is, but I want my grid view back! *sigh*
  12. Aww, crap. :( The new site looks awful. Too bright colors, and everything's... weird. Also wth happened to my grid view? D: I don't like this new layout at all. I know that at the end of the day, I'll just have to deal with it, but I really hate it right now. :[ EDIT: Also, what's wrong with the old one? It's not broken, why fix it? EDIT2: All right, I understand that not me or anyone else can make you keep the old design, but I just read your comment couple of posts below, and you said you're not going to support the grid view anymore?! What? Why? I can't make demands but could you please, please, please still support the grid view? :(
  13. I first joined nexus back in august 08, and originally made this account just so I could download bigger files. Only after almost two years I started to comment and endorse files, so now, 50 posts and endorsements later, I tought I'd drop in to finally say hi, so.. Hi there, Nexus Community! ^^
