  1. Not everyone has this issue, but using Unique NPC's, and Better Settlers, which both edit almost every NPC in the game. I get a 3 to 5 second lag spike when I get near new encounter's, or settlements, due to the mod's need of adjusting the NPC's. I am trying to reduce, or eliminate the issue. But I am thinking this is something I have to live with.
  2. Somewhat for me. I know I will have to live with it. Using Sim Settlements, when one hit 15-20 settler's, this can get really bad for me.
  3. Not sure if reinstalling the game will fix it. I did find out I did not update one of the mods correctly, so maybe it might fix some of it.
  4. Have bad news, at least in my case for the two mods I let the CK do the fix's. I did break both of them, so I had to reinstall both. :pirate: :pinch:
  5. ok, did that, but it would not let me save a new pull down item, but I was able to see what was current, but fount out the answer to if it would break the mod, if I let the CK do what ever it said it would fix. Unfortunately it did do so, but since it's only two mods, with an added bonus of not updating one correctly.
  6. Mine is not as bad as before. So some must be related to your computer. the I5 is something FO4 will have issues with. With my I5 this is the only get I had problems with. The .ini settings for Scrap everything dose some of the same stuttering, plus some FPS loss. As said before Bethesda did a very piss poor job of optimizing this game for the PC. Some mod bug's, and stuttering I have to live with.
  7. I will know now later, but so far it seem's to have worked. I do have mods that mess with the pre-combined mesh's, Scrap Everything. So i still get that when I change cells.
  8. In the thread there is a video part way down, that shows the affect of the errors on NPCs. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6576016-freezesstuttering-with-editing-npcs-mod-or-leveled-lists/ I honestly don't know which are by the mod. After saving the mod last night one is now down to 3600 errors. Many say master file, so I am assuming those are FO4, and/or the DLCs, and many do say which DLC it is. Other;s I don't know, as I have very little knowledge about this.
  9. I opened it up in the Construction Kit. The saved it. Wile I do not know exactly what it did, but I know it did something. The answer on got doing this, is there is no guaranty it will not break the mod. Right now I do not have any settlements that are very large, or really went to any large NPC area, but so far it did improve. I do not think it broke anything, but I did not play enough yesterday to know for sure.
  10. Been asked, but never answered. I am almost sure it was made with FO4Edit, and not in the CK. I quess I can try it and see what happens. The worst I cam see is just reinstalling it if it dose break it.
  11. Try this at your own risk, I opened up both Unique NPC's, and Better Settler's in the CK, and let if fix what error's it could, as I did see some that got corrected. I have seen a improvement. Not a 100%, but it's much better than before. I don't believe it break's the mods, as they seem to be working as before. I have asked this i the CK section, but have not gotten answer back yet.
  12. I should have also added, will it break the mods if I let the CK fix what little I did see it fix?
  13. In the Creation kit it self. There is a box that shows every error the Ck finds.
  14. I been trying for a wile to figure out a stuttering issue I have. Wile I know why, it is due to a few mods the directly edit almost every NPC in the game. Unique NPC's, and Better Settlers. Both mods according to the CK have well over 5000 (Yes I do mean thousand) errors. Do I have to live with those errors, as trying anything my self is way beyond my knowledge to fix my self.
  15. I don't know if there is, or will be. I finally was able to get the CK to load Unique npc's. According the the CK it has well over 5000 (Yes I do mean thousand) errors. I have no idea who to fix that many, or if the CK dose so automatically.
  16. Missing mesh's don't cause CDT's, but missing textures dose. So which ever mesh has no texture, then that is why CTD's happen. If you using NMM, which has a bad habit of not all way installing mods correctly. When you do know which mesh did not CTD on. Uninstall that mod, and reinstall it.
  17. yes I did see them. It is almost exactly what I have been getting. After seeing sever helpful post's in this thread, I now know exactly why it is happening. Most of the time I only get a short stutter, but if I go to Diamond City, or any large settlement, I do need a few seconds for all the NPC's to finish loading. . I did see that you have an I5 computer. Which is what I had,( I had get a new computer a few months ago), and yes this was hardly playable the my NPC mods. After getting an I7, made am improvement. My only recommendation with the I5, is not to use the NPC mods. Unless you can live with this. Bethesda did a horrible job optimizing this game for the PC.
  18. Yea , it is very annoying, especially when the NPC's need to loaded right before, or during a big fight. I like my NPC mod's way to much to remove them. So I am living with this.
  19. Or, as I only have one Creation club mod. Copy any Creation club .esl file's, save them to another location. Delete same .esl from the data folder. Then NMM will work correctly. Replace the Creation club .els's after your done editing your load order.
  20. I am not sure any update from Bethesda will fix it. You can check on the posts on the mod page, and see if anyone has the same problem, and if they were able to fix it. I doubt there is a real fix, as this is due to how much information the game load's at any given time. It might be possible this can be fix with the CK, but that is also something that is beyond my abilities to do. But then lately I have not been to get to load anything with out it deciding it dose not want to respond after getting to 20% loading FO4.exe.
  21. It's not that the game dose not support those mods, its just the game rendering those mods every time a new NPC come's into view. It is possible the last fer game update's made this more noticeable than before. I have the same problem with Unique NPC's, Better Settlers, and a body morph option. I will not remove Unique NPC's or better settlers. So this I am living with. If I could get the CK to work that might help, and I really doubt those were made with it.
  22. Completing the quest my prevent you from resetting/restarting any quest. All you can do is reload a save before the point you killed him.
  23. It might be both. I have the same issue every time I approach NPC's, as I also have edited NPC's, and a lot of leveled list's. I been using Unique NPC's, Looksmenu Body morfs, which I can't get to work, and over 200 weapons, and armor/clothing added to the leveled lists. I have done a lot of .ini tweaks, and Wile this dose annoy me, as I can run this game at 50-60 fps with no problems, only when the game loads new NPC's do I have issues.
  24. I will do both options every time I fast travel near known BoS sights. I thought the flashlight mod fixed that but never know.
  25. I almost never use Power Armor. The only armor add-on I have reflects melee damage back to the attacker. I am using Tactical Flashlight's with the targeting, corps glow options. I have not read anything about that mod doing this, and I can't figure out why it happens. I did read that some Power Armor's HUD can bug the final quest stage with the mechanist. I did run into that with Tactical Flashlight's.
