I'm very busy and can't promise anything, I'll only formally join a project if it looks as good or better than vanilla Skyrim. But I will be making some resources that are free to use. Talent: 3D modelling and texturing Skill level: Medium - High Contact method: PM me Talent: Level design Skill level: High Other Info: Know the Oblivion CS and Fallout GECK inside and out. Talent: Scripting Skill level: Medium Other info: I program in several real programming languages so the scripting language is simple, I will have to learn the new Skyrim one though.

Fallout 3 had it so it might be in there. They didn't use it very much so it might just be used very rarely.

If a model is missing its texture it will randomly grab another one from around it. Make sure the model's texture paths point to a valid texture.

Cool Can't wait to see that textured.

Well the image you posted here is very small. Its hard to see the new details. The second image is a better size.
-
Do you have a larger version of that image?

Updates on my scifi level assets.

Thanks. I'm actually in the final year of Game development. My program is mostly focused on code but for the final year we have a good modelling class. Anyway I've been modelling for quite a while and have gotten pretty good at uv mapping. The biggest thing is the actual painting of the texture and that first tutorial link is exactly what I've been looking for! My brother has a Wacom tablet he uses for drawing concept art so I will be using that. I have some good grunge brushes but could always use more and I don't have any good scratch brushes do you know where I could get some good ones, most sites I've found just have the same sets. I find I can get some great grunge from the CGtextures decals section. Anyway thanks a lot! -

That is some really nice texture work! That's currently the kind of skill I'm working towards, not quite there yet. Do you know any really good tutorials for that type of texture work? -
Welcome Back.

Creating a weapon from scratch

The nif exporter only supports up to Max 2010. You can still export as obj and import that into Nifskope. -
I can't say I could go at it for that long. I'll be getting into NY development in a few weeks. And school starts soon.

That's a lot of polys. It should work but it will have an impact on performance. Do you have 3ds max? -
Right now my NY mod still needs a lot of models. So I need something to work on with the GECK while I create assets for NY. Otherwise I'll get burned out with just using 3ds Max constantly.
-
What are your plans for the Mod version? I could help out with it, I've worked on mod teams before.
-
I'll fix the sink collision for the next version. There might be an invisible activator box in the activators section you might be able to use. The BuildingKit is not completely finished. Its intended for a New York mod I'm working on so I just included what I had finished so far. There will be a lot more parts when all the NY building sets are finished. They will have proper LOD when I finish all the parts for the NY buildings.

How High detail is that model? You will need The Niftools plugin for max so you can export a nif file. Then you will need Nifskope to set it up. -
Cool. Nice improvements to my crappy elevator mesh. Are you going to put that cool ventilation shaft stuff and utility tunnels in for version 1.0?

Best Non-NVSE Mods?
SpeedyB64 replied to Unlimitedrevolver's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I have to ask why not use NVSE? -
You might be able to ask the guy who made the vault tech power armor to get it rigged.

poly limit for level assets?
SpeedyB64 replied to CausticRKS's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Well I don't know the actual limit for performance I generally just look at the kind of detail they put into their models and do about the same. I just try to use as little polys as possible while still getting the look I want. -
Resistance is futile! ;)
