Where do you want me to put why? May we have an asterisk stating "Nexus mod author contacted in case of: dead links, not all mods hosted on other sites, possible hidden projects and/or other* ? Edit: Is there a way for us to chat on the googlesheet page for snap questions?

Whoever created the EDIT MESSAGE button is a feckin' genius I would like to nominate the Most Awesome Button Ever Award. Edited the messages; only one person of the authors I contacted read what I sent, and the person who I did send it to was missing a couple mods on Nexus so whee! No issues there. Okay, home I go. Edit: I contacted them in case they have hidden projects they want to save and also so they can keep any other pertinent info just in case.

Ah so. I am idiot, hear me be stupid. I sent some authors on Nexus the blanket msg of "I see your mods are not hosted anywhere else." Dear Mod Authors.. I am sorry for being an idiot and not editing the message. I am going to put this on hold until I get home I can do about 5 lines before I can move onto something else and it is not fair to this project to have me make such a fresh mistake. I will be packing up work in about 30 minutes. I apologize.

I thought I put the Modmanager and DA Tool in the Utilities? .. checked.. no I didn't. ~facedesk~ I was in the process of doing that when a subordinate came in. On the inventory page, tag a note for me to resolve The ME2 mods are listed on ME2 (managers) - I do not know why when I copy paste names it links to BSN. I will adjust those in a bit.

Ah so I put my own note on "Inventory Status" about contacted mod authors. It is in cap letters because I am an idiot. I deleted it and clicked Resolved :) Creeper.. Oh hi ~blush~ I was not sure what to do and thought it was a troll so I deleted it! My bad. I speak most of the languages listed on BSN, I will go through the language files and make sure they are contacted in their native tongue. There are some files that are both English and their own language, so that should not be an issue.

I made a post at Fextralife with basic directions, but I do not think that will be an issue. I have responded to over 200 message of "how can I help" with a link to the wordpress page and googledocs so they can get started. Note: of the 200 messages sent, these are people who already have mods, have been active in the community and does not read like an "asshat" on forums. About 50 messages I have ignored due to rudeness "lol noob u dunt need mods lolol u suk" . I am not sure what they hope to accomplish by that. In anyway; I will make sure to clean up posts on the authors I have contacted. I do not believe authors will be too much annoyed if contacted more than once. Please be careful and look at other pages to see if an author for the page you are working on has been contacted. I have already contacted a handful of them with responses and with no responses.

Got it :D I call it "Exciting Page".. maybe that will help. I have also re-contacted all the people who expressed interest in doing stuff. I will be very blunt here: most people are Spreadsheet Challenged. I have included basic directions for how to edit the google sheets and how to look at what people are doing and accessing the project pages. Shall we be even more honest as to say that only a very small bit of us will probably work on the google doc. My husband will be helping with us tomorrow from his computer, so that is one more for the team.

Okay, going back over my work so far. So in the contacted I put Yes via Nexus and added my name as to who I contacted. Someone typed hello in a box... I do not know who but you scared me. I deleted it. But hello just the same?

Good question- I contacted Sunjammer and _L_o_B_o_ via email. Everyone else on the list I sent you was via Nexus, so that's up to you if we need another column or if we should use notes.

MohoFish- great idea :) I will be using the EA timezone, which is PST. Since that is the time/day they are using it will make it easier. Everything that needs to be downloaded, sans the forums, is completed. Once we have more organisation of who is where on what project we can release more details.

It's not a "she" :tongue:. @gift I don't think Fexelea downloaded the whole forums, only a few subforums afaik. My download is still going steadily : 290 GB, 230k/1027k (yup, over a million...) At this point I'm thinking some of the links must be duplicates that will get sorted by HTTrack later. A million pages seems excessive, even for such a forum. The WP is a good idea, but it needs to be linked to in every other post mentioning the BSN shutdown (as you said, ME3Explorer, Reddit, Nexus...). Otherwise it will never be seen. It would be the best way to centralize information, latest news will be there, in case the other posts aren't updated. I'd be glad to help contact mod authors, once you upload the gdoc. A sample message would be nice, too. How many of them are there still left to contact ? Whoops. I should not have assumed your gender. I also believe that Httrack is sending you to private messages and you are getting error pages- that is what happened to me on the BSN Legacy and caused a serious amount of bloat; another reason why I've been spending many days going over so many pages, I did not wish to send all these error pages. There are probably another thousand, two thousand, more? to contact. I have no idea. You see... I am a derp. The kind of derp that forgets to follow directions. As MohoFish pointed out to me last night, I had not selected "all projects" from the drop down, I had been on "released." So out of the released people I had contacted a handful... now that I see there are a lot of "planning" and such.. I do not know the number. You are not off topic and your question is exactly why we are trying to get the word out. We do not know what will happen to these patches for people who bought Bioware games before the EA merger. And what Thandal said- go download whatever you think you may need in the future and hold onto it. If you use any mods from the Nexus make sure they do not have requirements from the Project site, or at least download to hold onto in case you format your hard drives, or something like that. The files are small enough to be held on a thumb drive which is where mine are at now :)

Well, I haven't done much with the BW forums except download small chunks of it. Fexelea has two of the forums ported on her website. But what I have is BSN legacy and ME Original. No one else has copies yet, I need to make sure my login info is wiped out of the files and that the files could be read after I delete info. The link to download it will only be shared with the original team working on this project- I'm giving Creeper the first download so she can view if I have fubared. If I can figure it out, I wanted to add it to Fexelea as a "View Only" content. No links to the mod downloads would be available, but links directing them to Nexusmods would be (if their mods are on nexus), or their personal website. The files are mostly css so I do not think it will be problem copy pasting tweaking them. There are two authors who said "No do not host on Nexus (I will share those name privately), we cannot find tmp7704, I've contacted a few others (sorry I forget their names, I have 2 hours of sleep right now). I will send you my list of contacted, contacted with response, contacted with no response and my cannot contact. I am going to crash first before I fall over; my pillow is calling my name like the devil siren it is.

Just a quick update- Fexetralife has several forums now integrated into the website. If you look under Bioware you see some sections have tonnes of posts and those are all ported over. I'm pretty exhausted right now. I've been waking up an extra hour early to work on bundling everything and I'm on call right now. (I need a coffee IV stat!) but I should have the database packed tomorrow or Friday. I had to make sure my personal info didn't get logged somewhere.

I've had numerous interruptions with HtTrack, it just picks up where it left off. Thandal, it's good you reached someone :) Even if they do acknowledge they need to do something I will not trust them to be able to. A company as large as EA/BW should have been prepared a month previous to an announcement such as this. Better safe than sorry, right? :)

No :( My work computer is a laptop for when I go home to finish up the work day or when I need to travel. I don't ever leave it anywhere, it's like a little mechanical babby xD Part of my job is translations, so while I'm at work it's managing the pharmacy, but when I get home, even though I am working, it is translating RX's for our patients, communicating overseas and responding to emergency questions.

I wish I could run it that long. My work days are 12 hours, but 6 are in the office and the other 6 I'm at home ushering emails as needed. My billing cycle ends in two days so I can get back to downloading more stuff :)

Mohofish; It's frankly disrespectful I feel :( Creeper; I was able to download 55gigs 3hr. I would have done more but my GM came in and he got side tracked by discussing ME2 with me (lol) and we had to do system restarts with our new software platform. Starting it up again :)

mcgoy, thank you for your concern :smile: Creeper is right- Those projects that might seem "abandoned" were still downloaded with the program. Anything set to "public" I have even the old polls! :smile: Creeper- I did notice that if you do not touch the main download folder, you can pause, select some other subfolder, do one of your ultra compression zips and it will not impact the download. It might save room for you. What you download is saved to the hts files in the main folder area. I can start doing a download now that I am at my workstation so if you are worried about room, I think my TB HD here would be enough space. I am here for 6 hours a day, would that be enough time? I can set it to ignore anything you have already downloaded if you wanted to give me a specific chunk forum.
