  1. giftfish, the 53rd line of the 1st tab of the spreadsheet should be updated with the new forum post. It still points to the old one, which is now locked.
  2. Well, that was fun. I updated this little project, it should work pretty well now. What it does : - Check each project ID from the list of all project IDs - First against the table on the left, in the same sheet. If it encounters an "invalid" mod, it outputs that - Then against all the other sheets. If it finds a mod that corresponds to the ID (thus, that has been inventorized), it displays the name of the mod - Else, it displays "todo", since it means the project hasn't been inventorized yet Hopefully it will be helpful . You can ignore all columns but the "Total" one, the others are just here because I don't know how to merge my search in one column. If you want to add rows, just select the last row of the table and drag down.
  3. Tarshana, I added a table to the project ID list, what do you think ? It should reduce the amount of manual work needed for this sheet, and give results automatically/instantly. Still needs some work though, there are some things I can't figure out with spreadsheets, like how to merge the columns, or how to remove the "N/A" output.
  4. Ladyofpayne, if you want to save projects, you should consider working on it yourself, too, instead of just making requests.
  5. 1. To jump to a specific page, you can simply modify the URL. There should be an example in the instructions . 2. I don't think it should be necessary to search for a project ID. It depends if gift and Tarshana want to switch to the ID inventory instead of the page inventory. For now, we have been using the Inventory Status tab to know who does what and avoid overlap. You take a page, and you complete it, simple as that (detailed instructions are in the first tab and in the header). Edit : Oh, and hi Tarshana !
  6. 1. Yes, that's the place where all the mods can be found. It's interesting that you would have 542 pages, are you part of private groups on BSN ? In that case, you'd be the only one I know of to have access to these mods, and be able to save them. 2. As written in the column's tooltip, "IDs in boldface require logging in to view". 3. The best way to find an author is to google his name. Which website doesn't really matter as long as the author is still active there. There is an example in the instructions. For example, if you are searching for tmp7704, you'd google eg : "tmp7704" dragon age. The quotes are important so that google only sends results that contain his name exactly.
  7. I did yes, but stopped it again a few days ago. I'm now away from home, and prefer not to let my computer on when I'm not present. The download must be up to 600 GB, I think. Still far from finished though, and I don't think it could be done till October, even if I let the computer run 24/7. The bandwidth given by Bioware's forums is just too limited. Either that or HTTrack is the bottleneck, either way I don't know what I could do to backup everything. The only way would be for Bioware to send us their website directly. Would be much faster, for sure, since they already must have archived backups. Didn't fextralife backup all forum posts ?
  8. Has anyone seen the popup that appeared recently on BSN ? It warns that the projects are now read-only and will be taken down eventually (though no time limit is given). So, we have our confirmation.
  9. @giftfish I won't have time to make the edits, school begins soon for me. Did you take a look at the mods I reuploaded ? The description clearly state the origin of the mod, and permission are also clear as to who is the author and where the file comes from. It may not be absolutely necessary to make the edit in this case, although I'll follow the sample you provided for potential other reuploads. Example : http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/96
  10. School is starting soon for me, so I won't be able to do much in the next few weeks. I'll try to do a page from time to time, but having more help would be very welcomed. We can't do everything with Tarshana and I as the only active members.
  11. I'm back ! Forgot all about this for a week . Nice work krlewis on the data lists, very useful. Now we just need a way to check which projects have been inventoried. I think the VLOOKUP function should be able to tell us that ? Also, adding a URL column in the "Complete Project ID List" tab, with each project's URL, would be useful. You'd go down the URL list, and use that method as the main one. It's better than the pages method we had earlier.
  12. FYI, I'm going to Ireland tomorrow, for a week. I won't be able to answer messages or help in any way in this period. Take care :).
  13. Good (?) news : http://i.imgur.com/HxA5FpV.png Apparently they don't have a deadline to take down the projects, yet. I don't think we should stop porting to Nexusmods though, it will come sooner or later. I'm just glad it gives us more time to go through the 417 pages.
  14. FYI, I added all the projects I uploaded to the spreadsheet. I reuploaded them all, even those we had not yet encountered through the pages, so you will come across some of them later. All of them are in the ME2 tab.
  15. Works for me. I did bundle some of his mods that were very similar.
  16. Well, I'm done, but I definitely won't be doing this twice. http://i.imgur.com/CT8oPv6.png I need some sleep now :).
  17. It's xDarkicex. He made a bunch of retextures (not high quality, just increase contrast and change colors, but I'm not here to judge). The problem with one Nexus page is that it's harder to find a specific mod from Nexus itself, since you only search the title. I think I'll go for individual files, it's not too much work. A lot of copy paste . Edit : Ah, I don't know if it's really that much more practical to have individual files. Ugh, choices...
  18. I received an answer from a modder, giving me permission to reupload wherever (author doesn't seem to care too much). He has 27 projects, should I reupload them individually or in a group ? The latter is easier, obviously, but harder to find for users.
  19. Tarshana's backup doesn't include private mods, if I'm not mistaken. However, using the spreadsheet remains the best and most efficient way to solve the issue of losing mods.
  20. What speed are you downloading at ? Mine is at about 50 KB/s, so if you download sensibly faster (at least 100KB/s), it will be worth it for you to continue. Given the size of the website, you'll finish faster than me. I *think* the website is putting bandwidth limits per IP, which could explain why the download rate is so low. Good point on the read-only issue. I haven't seen a way to filter private mods. The only way I see is to have 2 tabs open, one logged in, one not logged in (from a proxy for example), and compare page by page. Easiest to backup everything, I think. Unless you can somehow catch all project indexes when logged in and when not logged in with a scrawler, then compare in a spreadsheet. I suppose you could automate this, but I don't have the skills to do it^^. The spreadsheet has instructions to avoid overlapping, see the Inventory Status tab. Also, read carefully the instructions on the first tab :).
  21. 1400 notes now, but still not many people actually helping. I bet they're all thinking, "I'll reblog this, now I've done my share of helping and can go on to reacting to the Internet's next ephemeral event". Maybe I'm too cynical ?
  22. I didn't use tumblr until now, liked and reblogged . 284 notes, pretty good I think. Wait... You speak French ?
  23. I have room, for now. Since it isn't very big once compressed, I can keep a copy if needed. I agree with you Tarshana, I thought more people would come and help. I'm quite disappointed for now. We're doing this for them, we could just keep our backups and not care about the rest of the community.
