  1. I have an ASUS Core i5 16gb with Intel 3000 graphics that I want to get working. It starts loading and begins the game but I have Mouse Trails all over the starting screen and the starting SKYRIM logo page never fades out.. been running EVE Online, WoW and Fallout 3 on this machine for a long time. Any help would be most appreciated DXdiag excerpt
  2. I have had problems with Direct Install from the Website, but I've had no issues doing a manual install... I just simply use the download manually option, then drag the archive to NMM and it installs without a hitch. Just make sure you have your extraction program set as default and set up for NMM use.
  3. Just in case I didn't make it clear, I was very tired when I posted this original thread. I'm having a very difficult time seeing the text in SKY UI and any text in console mode. I would like to increase the font size for BOTH of them. Dialog and Quest Menu Text is Perfectly readable.
  4. Console commands for the most part are the same as Skyrim Original (I have not noted any changes). Also note that you can download the Creation Kit for SE directly from Bethesda at this time.
  5. Ok, not 100% on this, but I believe that some, if not all of you problems arise in the first few lines. I am unfamiliar with many of your mods so one of those could be the culprit in and of itself. Try this on for starters: Skyrim.esm=1 Update.esm=1 Dawnguard.esm=1 HearthFires.esm=1 Dragonborn.esm=1 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp=0 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp=0 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp=1 Dawnguard and Dragonborn share a lot of the same material, so you want all of them to be loaded first, then go to updating them... Caveat: I am unsure of the order they were released by Bethesda, but you may want to research that and make sure that they are loaded in the order of their release. Hope that this helps.
  6. NOT SE Version (Although I do have it, just not playing it). I need to know if I can change the Font size, if so, where and how. Currently my Text is so small I can barely view it, especially in console mode and it's prettu bad in Sky UI as well. System (DXdiag excerpt) Mods installed & load order
  7. That MSI laptop has a worse GPU than the Asus one though. Just saying. Most games are GPU dependent, so that is where your money should be focused on the most. Much appreciated for the info! I want to enjoy the game as I would if I were at home. Considering that I can be out here for weeks at a time anything less would be a waste.
  8. That's good to hear... because that is exactly where I'll be using it. I already have 2 Survivors in here with me. A Core i5 Asus and a Core i3 Compaq. Both have maxxed out RAM and SSD Upgrades. However neither of them will run Fallout 4... Spent hours trying to get around that darned video bug. Thanks for the come back!
  9. If anyone is using the ASUS ROG G751 Series laptop, please let me know how your Fallout 4 Gaming experience is on it. (I'm hoping for the same performance I have on my desktop, which I run on Ultra Settings and have over 160 addons)
  10. I most definately saw that! Thanks again for the link and info!!! (Back to work =( )
  11. Mine does the CTD Dance everytime. I may have to give that one (ASUS ROG) a go... much more economical that the MSI GT72 Dominator and a LOT less negative reviews.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I've looked at many but there are so many poor reviews on them, that I am a bit concerned. My Asus i5 has Intel Graphics and as you can guess, just is incapable of running Fallout 4
  13. I travel a lot on my job and am wanting to get a new laptop that will allow me to not just play, but enjoy Fallout when I am away from home. I already have a Core i3 and i5 laptop pretty much maxxed out, but Fallout will not run on them due to Video constraints. I wish that I could say cost was no object, but I would like to keep it under 2 grand. Anyone have suggestions, please let me know. My Current Fallout 4 machine is far too cumbersome to take with me...
  14. After several hours, I found that the culprit was PCW... apparently it is not compatible with some of the updates. Sad, I really loved that mod.
  15. No luck with updates... still no stores.
  16. Much appreciated! Will check on that when I get back in.
  17. Have you installed or updated any mods lately? Do you have the new DLC? I had a very similar problem. I had not yet installed the DLC but had updated several mods. I kept having CTD issues, which I solved by installing the DLC. Many of the new updates are updated for the new DLC content, yet make no mention of it.
  18. I downloaded many new updates, not realizing that DLC was out and began having CTD issues. Installing the DLC fixed the crashing problem. Now, I can't seem to find my stores! The ones that I placed before the updates are still there, but I can no longer locate any of the stores to build more.
  19. I finally found a way to do it! Make sure you save before you do this... Note to Self!!! Save Game BEFORE doing this. Go into console mode, Target Dead Synth Body, type the word disable, hit Enter. Exit Console. If the Body is still there, then you removed something else from the game. Load your save and try again! If you don't, you could end up like me, with a corrupted save. I found this out the hard way and ended up loosing a few hours of play.
  20. Oh I so agree, but many folks want all of the Perks but find the idea of having to Romance someone to get them as patently offensive. I count myself in the last group. I don't chase Perks either. I tend to play a Stealth Character who covers his ass traps and mines. My Perks tend to be Sneak, Rifleman and Explosives, then later Commando, Criticals etc. I only recently started having companions in games only for their color commentary. They do tend to make a mess of my sneaking though. In all Fallout games, save this one, I never took companions. Not even Dogmeat! I could play only with my Legendary Suppressed Gauss Rifle, Silenced 10mm, and My Legendary Spray n' Pray... well and as many Frag mines as I can carry =)
  21. It does not matter how much Defense you have which is so sad. I have Advance Settlement Turrets mod installed. 1x1 Foundation Walls, Choke Points with overlapping fields of fire. Mostly using Advanced Gauss and Minigun Turrets. Defense Ratings between 800 and 1400 (999) I still get missions saying they are getting raided and kidnapped... See this video, starting around 30 seconds in, you will see the defenses in action, continue the tour and see all the defenses. All of my Settlements have huge overkill in defense...
  22. I'm using driver version 362.00, have a GTX 960 4Gb and the latest update... not having any problems myself. Running Shadowplay is not causing any problems either.
  23. Have you tried validating your game cache? In Steam, Right Click on Fallout 4, Select Properties, Click on the Local Files Tab, then Verify Integrity of Game Cache. That solved a few problems for me. Hope this helps.
