  1. For your question "Should Cerwiden be taken out of the vanilla follower system?", certainly has both benefits and drawbacks. I'd say if you can give her a simple/lite version of "followers relax" (sandbox AI) and "convenient horses" (summon horse) features, then yes, take her out of the vanilla follower system. Since it should make your life easier not having to check with every other mod as they update. Makes her compatible with everything, too. =)
  2. Yes, I would take no voice acting over nothing. On the other hand, I believe there is always a way to make it work if the writer/modder writes the dialogues in a way where the spouse uses only vanilla voices in an intelligent way. I guess you the silent main character will be doing most of the talking and your spouse (or future spouse) will be making short replies. Or they can be long ... like I said depends on how the writer/modder mixes up with the vanilla voices - just a matter of some wit and effort I suppose. :laugh: Anyways, I am always looking for mods that will enhance the Skyrim marriage/spouse system since the vanilla sure is lacking. Btw, there IS a mod on Steam Workshop that does improve it - To Have and To Hold. I haven't played it but from what I read, it does extend the proposal aspect. The coolest feature in it I think is how different people will attend your wedding depending on what quests you have done. It's not written on the page but it was featured on a video I believe. Unfortunately the mod was last updated on May 2012 and seems to be in an incomplete state. So yeah, hopefully someone else can pick it up and add onto it.
  3. Hello. This is not an original idea. It is an idea based on a mod for Oblivion. Basically, the mod adds a spell to your inventory where you can cast on any NPC/follower and it gives them a new set of voice pack by replacing their original voices. The effect is that your follower will be able to have his or her own UNIQUE set of voices compared to all the other NPCs/followers. It will change all his/her generic dialogues and add a few unique lines here and there commenting on the environment such as the weather, their background/personality/faith, or the main character's actions. There's not a lot of lines - probably around 30 per character only. But it really adds a lot of depth and personality to your companions. Here is the original mod for Oblivion btw for reference: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/13329/? The original mod uses voices from Baldur's Gate's follower voices. But they can be easily replaced with a voice actor's. Personally, I don't really mind if it's a direct port or one made from fresh voice or voices from another game though. Anyway, I hope someone finds this idea interesting and could attempt to make such a mod. Thanks. =D
  4. There was a mod for Oblivion which adds a voice pack to your main character OR any NPC/companion (replacing their original voices). I absolutely love that mod. It adds much personality to your MC and your companions. Even though it doesn't add voice to your main quest dialogues (which I personally think is unnecessary tbh), it is still very, very cool. But they can be easily replaced with a voice actor's. I created one for personal use using the original mod as default for my Oblivion. Worked really well. And there are not many generic lines. I think only about 30 or so. Really hope someone can create a mod such as this into Skyrim as well! Edit: I should probably create a new request thread though since it's slightly different to the main topic of this request.

  7. I endorse this idea! I thought of this too while thinking of my request post for a spouse/follower mod. Think it would be cool if you can have your spouse (follower) ride on a horse with you. Additionally, for spouse, he/she could be holding your waist while you ride. And for companion, they just sit there normally I guess. Hope someone will be interested in making such a mod. =D
  8. Hey, I solved my low FPS issue. Here's what I did: - turned power to "performance" mode - did a "chkdsk" - turn 3D option to "performance" - updated my Nvidia driver. Before my game (with medium settings) was running on low FPS all the time with or without enemy. Now it lags only once in awhile in places where there's a lot of stuff going on. Even when there are multiple enemies there's no lag!! I could actually attack/slash without any lag now!! Give it a try!!
  9. My laptop is also running slow as hell .. medium setting and it lags everywhere ... My specs are similar to yours: Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) 8GB Memory DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M I mean I should be able to run it at medium without lag right? But right now the game is just unplayable even on medium ... Hope someone has a solution.

  11. correction: *Fort Bannister* Every time I get near Fort Bannister .. my game crashes. I had a bunch of mods installed. but even when I turned off all mods .. it stills crashes. I had been to Fort Bannister once with no problem .. but now I just can't get near it ... =( it seems like it has problem loading an object .. when I get to a specific distance .. it tries to load objects far away and then it crashes .. what's causing this and how can I do to fix this? ADD: I removed all mods, all folders in Data (textures + meshes) .. game still crashes when I get near ... I cannot understand how this is possible. a corrupted cell even without any mod (I do have all the DLCs though)? what can I do to fix that cell?
  12. Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense that this is the future they imagined would be without internet and other stuff. But I still think it would be nice if Bethesda made some original stuff tho. Even tho there's no hippie movement, Vietnam war, and so on .. a 100+ year gap (1945-2077) must have caused some kind of major movement .. in popular culture I mean. They could've made up a movement. Anyways, guess this is what it is then :confused:
  13. they're pretty much the same game (engine) with two different stories. New Vegas is like an expansion/sequel of FO3. New Vegas starts 4 years after Fallout 3's story. but both games are standalone so u can start with either.
  14. right. if that's the case, then shouldn't there be music and other stuff being created (by people) in between the times of 1945-2077? yet we only get music from pre-WW2 (1945) instead of pre-Great War (2077). kinda odd eh? any reason for this?
  15. here's the timeline I was looking at: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline#1961 it doesn't say anything about bombs in 1960. it jumped from 1945 to 1961. so where did u find that the bombs fell in 1960?
  16. Okay, so I checked the timeline of Fallout universe and realized that it started to diverge itself from our actual timeline after 1945 (WW2). And the Great War (nuclear bombs) did not happen until 2077. So I wonder why they only have music (on the radio) and clothing up to 1945? Why do they call 1945 "pre-war"? Shouldn't year 2077 be "pre-war" in this universe? Which means shouldn't there be music and other pop culture stuff from the time between 1945-2077? I see all the mods created by people and many say it's lore-friendly only if they're stuff from before 1945. But pre-war is actually before 2077 in Fallout Universe. Am I missing something? Did something happen in between 1945-2077 that people can no longer create stuff?

  20. Since Seducing Women mod and some companions mods (eg: Lucy West) alter the same NPC. Most likely they have compatibility issues. I read the readme from Seducing Women saying using Mod Manager to alter the load order may resolve such issues. So my question is .. which one should I put lower in the load order? Seducing Women or the companion mods? Thanks.
  21. Hello. Are there certain types of mods that are safe to merge and certain types that are unsafe to merge using FO3 Plugin? I mostly want to merge player house/building mods. Is it safe to merge them?
