  1. Since certain bullets are banned because they do too much tissue damage and hurt too much, why not ban all bullets and um... No clue where I was going with that... >.>
  2. I've heard there is someone working on both the P-90 and the G-11. Hopefully both will use unique reloading animations as both have flat magazines that lay down the length of the top of the gun; the P-90 being loaded from back to front and the G-11 being loaded from front to back (If I'm remembering correctly.)
  3. ok ok .. on this game we have one homosxuel relation for how many straight relation many... many.. many.. and we know in this world is not like that.. i know is a game but i think we could make this game more realistic.. and i hope with the GECK some people will take this gay mod seriuly :) :thanks: First, let me say that I am wholly in support of a gay and lesbian mod. ^.^ Now on to business. ;) In a world as sparsely populated as the DC wasteland I don't find it at all surprising. However, you also don't have access to the entire Rivet City population; Aircraft Carriers are literally floating cities, and even with the bow cracked off like that there sould be a much larger habitable area. And with the people of the wasteland needing to congregate for safety, and with Rivet City's reputation, there's no doubt that it is close to or has already reached the maximum population. That said, the reason you don't see very many people is that it would probably take many more zones and NPCs and it would be a lot more crowded and harder to get around inside of. It's sort of assumed, by some, sort of like: "How does Little Lamplight maintain its population?" Also, there aren't very many population centers. The town of only has four houses pre-quest, same with Big Town (Though the fact that there are only 3 women in Big Town could lead to some assumptions). only seems to have 4 residents, two of whom are an item. Besides that, there are only six locations with respectable populations. Of those, 5 have enough assumed residents to maintain a genetically diverse (non inter-family unions) population and only one of those five is an actual town; the others are more bases of operations. ( ) Out of those six possible locations where same sex unions would be most likely found, only one has the sort of environment where that kind of NPC development has taken place. So while there may be one, two or twelve other unions like Flak and Shrapnel's, Rivet City is only one of two where there is actual story to the town's residents and is capable of supporting a population large enough for that kind of diversity to congregate. The other one is Megaton, but the only residents you can interact with are... Well, in many cases, it's best not to explore their possible sexuality. >.> Also, I am absolutely not trying to be sarcastic or patronizing in any way. ^.^ Just trying to offer a counter-point. :)

  6. Flak and Shrapnel are lovers. You can use the console to remove the ladykiller perk and then give your male character the black widow perk if you like. That will give you a bit of a minor push in the direction you want. However, what you want is not an unreasonable request; and I'm sure that after the GECK comes out in december, you'll find what you want. ^.^

  8. That looks great! ^.^ Any chance that the barrel could be ridiculously long, like almost touching the ground as you run and clipping into it when you sit? Ok ok don't hit meh, just an idea. ^.^
  9. There's lots of folks to team up with. I tried my hand at texturing the other day, and then again a few minutes ago... Yeah, I didn't get any better. Everything is sooooo dark in the editor, but when I get it into the game, it's jacked up by several brightness levels. Perhaps it's because I have my normal screen gamma and brightness lowered because it was giving me eyestrain, but I raised the gamma and brightness in the game because I couldn't see anything. >.> In any case, I am absolute rubbish at texturing or creating new esp files. All I can really do is some extremely, and I do mean extremely, basic nif editing and a bit of esp editing to make a mod suit my tastes a bit more.

  14. Poppycock, they left before you got there and the BoS wouldn't have these weapons until after you showed them to them. ^.^ So take THAT, outcasts. Even if you bring new technology to the outcasts, the only one of them that actually uses it is Casdin. Even then it was only the Tesla armour I gave him, which seemed a bit odd.
  15. Also, once they can manufacture them for you, you could start seeing them on the occasional BoS soldier. Take THAT you Outcast berks!

If it were possible, it would be nice to show the rifle (or any unique weapon) and one of the rounds to the master at arms in the brotherhood armoury and after a few detailed conversation choices, have them come up with a way of manufacturing the weapon and new ammunition for you after an in game week.
  17. I never suggested it be portable, I just suggested that it go into your inventory like the workbench does. I suppose I should have said the deed for it goes into your inventory, but it's not really a deed. In fact I don't like having to have the workbench in my inventory and I would dump it into a locker if it wouldn't keep me from also having the workbench in my tenpenny tower suite. If I leave the item in either of the two homes, it seems to disappear from the other. Agreed, the scope on the sniper rifles in game is laughable, as is the range. I was on the steps to the Lincoln Memorial trying to snipe mercs standing near end of the reflecting pool and even though I had his chest absolutely bullseyed, the bullet was either dropping or sailing over his shoulder. The zoom on the sniper scopes are nowhere near what they should be.
  18. What sort of disadvantages do revolvers have aside from limited ammunition capacity? They are more reliable, have fewer parts to foul up and go wrong, and they don't jam unless you've been VERY careless with its maintenance and the cylinder just won't turn or hammer won't move. Automatics really only have the one advantage over revolvers in that they have the ability for holding more bullets.
  19. Thank you ^.^ Regarding the necessity for the CS: Perhaps, but also perhaps not. Someone has already modded the workbench to allow you to create regular weaponry. (Last I checked he only had the spiked knuckles going. I think his recipe was brass knuckles, superglue and... shoot I've forgotten.) So perhaps having a particular item in your inventory (like the House: Workbench) could replace the old workbench with a new one that has a bullet press on it. If nothing else, that is. Personally I would prefer an entirely new freestanding machine. ^.^ (I hope the CS comes out sooner than later to make stuff like that easier/possible)
  20. Next to the rifle in the Armoury you should put the supply of unique ammunition (.50BMG) as well as a few loose rounds to show just how massive they are. :D Ooooh. Would be so cool to make a little device there that you can trade scrap metal to and it melts them down to make bullets so you can re-use the old casings, giving you the ability to acquire more ammunition. :D (edit) But no more than you had previously. Perhaps, like nuka cola, every time you fire a round it adds a shell casing to your inventory. Then when you go back to the device you have to trade it 2 Shell casings + 2 scrap metals to give you 2 new rounds (arbitrary numbers there.) Perhaps you can acquire the device like you acquire the workshop for your house and just having it in your inventory (House: BMG Bullet Press) adds it to your house or adds a functionality to your work bench. :)

  22. Hooray! ^_____^ I think he's also added .50AE ammunition to his mod recently, too. Shouldn't be too much of a stretch for him to drop in some .50BMG as well. :D
  23. You could contact Vashts1985. when he makes guns they are amazingly detailed. Right down to the slide on the desert eagle sliding back and a new round entering the chamber. He does add rifling to his barrels, but I haven't checked to see if that's just a texture map or actual polygons, but I suspect it is the former. Check the pictures I uploaded of the open chamber in his arsenal desert eagles v3 mod. There are even two really nice top down views in the upload forum for the mod. The only thing that I don't like is that he's a big proponent of the rusty gun because it looks right in fallout, wanting some realism (mesh detail) but chucking out the rest (rusty guns are bad).

Yes, agreed, it should be dinged up, nicked, cut, and scratched, but not so bad that it affects the structural integrity of the gun and it shouldn't be dirty and grimy and it should never ever be rusty. (I editied in a paragraph at the end of my previous post regarding dirty soldiers with clean guns. ^.^)
