  1. Thanks for the reply! I ended up fixing the problem by rebooting my computer, which I should have tried first in any case, lol. I'm looking forward to 1.2, then!
  2. Hi! I'm having a problem with the Vortex mod manager. When I try to activate the Pathfinder: Kingmaker game to add mods (and what have you), it comes up with a message saying that I have to install Unity Mod Manager (UMM) to use mods with Kingmaker, and it offers a link to the UMM page on The Nexus. The only problem is that I already have the UMM installed. UMM seems to be functioning correctly when I run the game, and Vortex works with other games fine, although I don't have it managing any other UMM games. I've restarted Vortex and run PF:KM multiple times, and everything that needs to have Admin has Admin. Any ideas? If I can't use Vortex with PF:KM, no big deal - I mostly just want the Turn-Based Combat map and some extra portraits, so it's not that big of a deal to do it using UMM itself. That having been said, this is going to drive me insane if I can't get to the bottom of it lol. Anyway, thanks for the help!
  3. I'll be honest: they can leave out weapon durability and is be fine with it. It's annoying to maintain weapons. I recognize that this may be an unpopular opinion That having been said, this is the most awesome project, like, ever.
  4. I have some memory issues (which is actually kinda nice when playing certain games, but otherwise sucks), so if I've done this before, I apologize. Hi! I'm Watts. You can also call me student 20, or even GrumpyGuy - I recognize those names, in addition to my real name, which I'm happy to share over PM. I love gaming in general, but Bethesda games are the ones that suck me in the farthest and the most frequently. You can't actually tell this fact about me from my Steam Profile (student 20 - pay attention to intentional not-capitalization). I suppose I'm a farm gamer at heart (apparently). I just wanted to say hi before I posted anything of substance. To the Nexus community in general, but the Show Runners in specific: Thank you for this place. It is amazing. I'll be upgrading my membership soon.
  5. This looks fantastic. I really, really, really look forward to wandering about in Boston as my new Android self... It'll be like my favorite toon from NV all over again!
  6. I did that stuff... got the same result. It's weird, right? And I apparently don't know how to do "spoiler" text. I thought all I had to do was put spoiler in brackets, then end it with /spoiler in brackets. Apparently, I have no clue what I'm doing. EDIT: Hey! I fixed it! Apparently I do know what I'm doing... you know, for this one thing. Not for the other thing. FTR, doing a vanilla Skyrim install. If anyone knows what happened, though, I'm seriously all ears. I wasn't able to track it down myself, and I'd like to avoid it in future, but no one seems to know what went wrong...
  7. So, I have a... weird problem. I've done a forum search, multiple Google searches, and multiple Google Image Searches, and I can't find anything like like it. I have large black sections that look like someone tore out sections of the image as if they were paper. If it didn't make the game unplayable, I'd actually think the effect was kinda cool. My bandwidth sucks, so I'm trying to avoid a complete reinstall, although I've tried verifying local files through Steam. Here's what it looks like: Here's my LOOT Report:
  8. I love this article. It makes me excited to be a part of a proper conversation. Dark0ne, you have hit the nail squarely on the head. Some things I'd like to say: The "far right" point in the article was specifically to create a separate category for people who take the PC Master Race thing to an extreme. Any political leanings anyone has read into it says more about them than it does about anything Dark0ne said. My sincerest hope is that Bethnet does finally get up off its posterior and deal with mod theft. That's not a problem with the console community; it's a problem with certain people being a$$es. Blaming the console players for it isn't victim-blaming, but it is Unwilling/Unknowing Accessory blaming. Were I a betting man, I'd say that the vast majority of console FO4 players don't really know anything about this, and if they did, they'd be upset. The answer is, and always has been, community. Bethnet needs to do a better job at listening to and cultivating theirs. Ours needs to stand together to defend the games and hobbies we collectively love. No matter where you stand on consoles having access to mods, you love mods. If you didn't, you wouldn't be here. This is a thing now, and we need to stand together and do everything we can to help. We need to report stolen content to Bethnet, to tell our console-bound friends about the issue, and to support one another. What we don't need is to devolve into bickering about how mods are only for PCs, or the collective age of a particular game's community, or any other self destructive bull hockey. We're gamers. Let's focus on what's awesome, and what's broken, and how we can take awesome to AWESOME and fix what's broken. Theoretically, that's exactly what modders do in the first place.
  9. As an update: I tried uninstalling all mods, doing a cleanup of leftover files (there were a surprising number of them), verify integrity, and then re-installing the mods a few at a time. I had done this before (without the thorough cleanup, my bad), but this time I think I was successful. For whatever reason, everything was fine until the Fantasy Soundtrack Project. I don't know why it doesn't work for me, but when it's installed I CTD every time... I've got most of the rest of the mods up and running again, so... it looks like I'm okay. Thanks for taking a look, guys!
  10. Eurotrip is hilarious :-)
  11. Hey, all. I'm looking for a bit of help. I can't seem to get a modded Skyrim to work. When I run SKyrim, the start screen loads up fine, and when I click on New it starts to load (I get the 3d model and the bit of text - you know, the normal load screen), and then crashes to desktop. Here's my computer details: Operating System: Windows 10 (64 Bit)Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 970 (4GB), used the Optimized INI settings from the GeForce Experience programSystem Memory: 16GBProcessor: Intel Core i7-4970 @ 3.6/3,6 GHzI have SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) and the Memory Patch enabled (used the instructions in the S.T.E.P. project)I have ENBoost set up according to S.T.E.P. instructions, but no ENB presetI recently re-installed the game, and have done a Verify Integrity of Game Cache through Steam.Here's my Load Order, according to LOOT: 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 Skyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esm 7 7 RSkyrimChildren.esm 8 8 HighResTexturePack01.esp 9 9 HighResTexturePack02.esp 10 a HighResTexturePack03.esp 11 b Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp 12 c SkyUI.esp 13 d LessIntrusiveHUD.esp 14 e MainMenu.esp 15 f AHZmoreHUD.esp 16 10 RaceMenuOverlays.esp 17 11 RaceMenu.esp 18 12 RaceMenuPlugin.esp 19 13 SkyCompleteLegendary.esp 20 14 TheCoenaculiCBBE.esp 21 15 Utopolyst's Item Sorting.esp 22 16 HDTPhysicsWeaponSling.esp 23 17 Purity.esp 24 18 RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp 25 19 Wintermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.esp 26 1a Elemental Destruction.esp 27 1b Disparity.esp 28 1c Helgen Reborn.esp 29 1d Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp 30 1e Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp 31 1f RSChildren - Complete.esp 32 20 CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp 33 21 genderhorses.esp 34 22 SFO - Dragonborn.esp 35 23 ViewableFactionRanksBothDLC.esp 36 24 LostGrimoire.esp 37 25 AcquisitiveSoulGemMultithreaded.esp 38 26 Radiant and Unique Potions Poisons and BOOZE.esp 39 27 Beards.esp 40 28 Cherry's Eyes.esp 41 29 HDTHair_Luckystars_Standalone.esp 42 2a Kawaii Face Presets.esp 43 2b KS Hairdos - HDT.esp 44 2c Player Size Adjuster.esp 45 2d Mage Outfit Texture Overhaul.esp 46 2e Fantasy Soundtrack Project.esp 47 2f Fantasy Soundtrack Project - Combat.esp 48 30 chfshPlayerVoicesets.esp 49 31 BardSoundsMalukah.esp 50 32 TGLNordArmor.esp 51 33 Convenient Horses.esp 52 34 El_WayfarersCoat.esp 53 35 12FemaleBrows.esp 54 36 XPMSE.esp 55 37 FNIS.esp 56 38 FNIS_PCEA2.esp 57 39 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp Both LOOT and NMM are telling me there are no errors, but I'm not sure how much that's worth (I don't actually know what they check and how in depth it is - I'm assuming it's just looking for missing masters). So... any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've played Skyrim much, much more modded than this. If I've left anything out, please tell me. This is my first time asking for help on the Nexus forums, and I want to get it right. Thanks in advance for any help! *EDIT: I forgot to include what the actual problem is. Wow, I'm kinda... out of it, I guess...
  12. I am soooo excited for Vault Girl mods. I'm not digging the direction of the bobble heads (I'd prefer something closer to the Vault Girl art, and with a zipped up vault suit... or at least with less disturbingly large areolas especially...), but the Vault Girl mod itself is looking pretty damn tight. Out of curiosity, would it be possible to include races other than European?
  13. So far, I've been able to get things to work like this: Open NMM and switch to the Plugins tab Launch Fallout 4 from Steam and wait for the launcher to disable all ESPs in NMM - you'll see it happen. Re-enable all ESPs in NMM Click "Play" in the Fallout launcher.Textures and other loose-file/non-ESP mods seem to be unaffected by the lockout. The newest update for NMM supposedly fixes the problem, though... gonna try that. I have to manually update it, though - the auto-updater isn't working for some reason. Meh - no big deal.
  14. This looks great, provided all options are toggle-able. I would prefer them to be toggles rather than being in any way tied to difficulty because it would allow more/better individual customization. I, for one, would always toggle weapon/armor deterioration off. There's a fine line between verisimilitude and make-work, and I'm willing to give up a bit of the former to avoid the latter. I know that if my Minuteman General armor takes a few rounds, it should naturally not work as well (IRL most body armor is almost useless after taking any ballistic/shrapnel damage), but having to stop and repair it every fifteen minutes is annoying and flow-breaking for me. I never cared for this aspect of FO3, and I'm kinda happy to see it gone. I'm also not all that into "realistic needs" mods because while I know my character needs to eat, drink, and rest, that doesn't mean I want to stop for lunch just to avoid penalties. That having been said, having the options present is a wonderful idea.
  15. Thank you! *edit* I meant to say "I'll do that". Although, I kinda want to suggest that they look for a different ad company? I guess I don't know anything about anything, but I have trouble believing I'm the only one who's had this problem, and if it's a consistent issue with the ad providers, maybe different ad providers are in order... But you should probably just ignore me. I'm kinda obsessive about some of this stuff, and if the site is getting the revenue it needs to stay afloat, then I should keep my nose out of it.
  16. Just an FYI, guys... I've had to turn on my adblocker on this site because I've started to get aggressive popups/popunders, and enabling Adblock was the only way to get it to stop. These popups and popunders included links to "malware removal" sites claiming I had a virus (something which both Bitdefender and Malwarebytes disagree with), which is a common tactic for malware distributors. These popups were only showing up here, at the Nexus. According to Bitdefender, I had nine cookies from QuestionMarket, CasaleMedia, RealMedia, Doubleclick, Advertising, Ru4, FastClick, and TribalFusion that were of quesionable security. I did some research, and most of these are pretty well known bad cookies. Did I get these from one of your advertisers? I hope not, but it might be something you should look into. I don't want to use Adblock here. I mostly use it for sites that have incessant or loud commercials. In fact, I'm the kinda guy who occasionally clicks on ads in an effort to help out sites I like. Please help me out, so I can get my adblocker turned off for the Nexus. *edit* - I misspoke in my last sentence, so I went back and fixed it.
  17. I did no Adbock on the site for 3 years. I've been supportive in this regard - I ignored loud ads, I left things run, and I clicked on ads occasionally, interested or not, to support the site. And then I got directed to an obvious malware site. I didn't click on anything (I was actually away from my computer when the redirect happened), but the new tab/window popped up. Seriously, even if Bitdefender didn't spot it, I would have. It wasn't well hidden. Chrome itself though something might be up, and I didn't need the help - although many others probably did. Look, guys, I dig you're between a rock and a hard place. I know the site costs cash, and I know that since I'm not a paid subscriber, I have to endure ads. I'm actually down with that. I turn off my ad blocking for more than just this site. In fact, clicking on ads is the only real way I have to show support, so I do it. In fact, I relish in it. I know it isn't much, but it's a way I can show my support. But if your ad provider is going to engage in aggressive crap that directs me to what are (to an experienced web surfer) obvious ransomware sites, I have to draw the line. Not for me - I know what's what on the internet, and I can dodge this crap until the end of my life... but, from a moral standpoint, I can't support it. Please get your house in order. Change ad providers if you have to. Nexus has always been on the right side of this crap, and I've been as supportive as I can be.... but you lost the moral high ground recently, and I want you to have it back. I've recommended you in my reviews on Nerbacon.com, and I want to keep doing so. I'll leave my adblock off in the hopes that it was a one-time slip, and so I can send you more info if it happens again, but seriously, guys - be the good guys here. FTR, if you try to defend the practice, you're obviously part of the problem, and I'll take my ad revenue elsewhere (a pretty empty threat, but please understand both my frustration and my disappointment). I know everything here is provided out of the goodness of the hearts of the content creators, and I love that with all of my heart... but watch your step. I hate to say it this way, but it's a slippery slope.
