  1. So I can't find a better spot for this, so if anyone knows PLEASE let me know. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong spot. I've made houses using the GECK and CKs but I constantly find myself limited by the resources. I wanted to ask how people go about making custom houses, what tools they use and how it works. I did some searching but came up pretty much empty. If anyone has a guide they know of or just a general point in the right direction, I'd appreciate that.

  3. Is there a way to perform enchanting without a vendor? I'm making a homemod and I wanted an alchemy/enchanting setup, but I don't want a random person sitting in a house that's been empty for however long.
  4. Is there one? If not, could it be made? Or maybe even just an idea of how I could make one? I'm more world space building, but I need this mod.
  5. Is there a mod that lists collectible locations? Like unique weapons and armors, the bobbleheads or the snowglobes, the skill books and s#*! like that? I know you can just use a guide but I always feel like its less cheaty if its an in-game resource.
  6. Hi. So I'm pretty new to creating mods, mostly just world spaces. I'm trying to expand by making more advanced stuff, like a custom storage. Making a kitchen, I wanted to add static food objects that would act as the activator for an invisible storage chest. You look at the meat, it gives you the prompt to open Meat Storage. I know I need some kind of boundary box around the object and a storage thing linked to it, but I don't have a clue what objects I should use. Any help?
  7. While people would love to make it, most modders aren't paid. They do this for fun, and that usually means a big mod takes a long time.
  8. Something like this would require unique models and textures, for each individual part of each individual weapon. Each blade, cross guard, hilt, wrapping. Integration in the lists is easy, you just add the items to the list essentially. The hard part is actually taking the time to make each model, texture it, then do the same with any variation of finished product. Then you have to make sure each possible weapon variant will work properly in the world, with animation and movement. You also have to overhaul the crafting system, removing the current one and integrating the new items, then working out cost of product and ensuring that won't be an issue with Skyrim's current economy or the existing amounts of resources in game. It's a massive undertaking, and probably part of why F4 took so many years to make. But I like it and want it.
  9. What is a nice looking, wooded area in the warmer areas of Skyrim, close to a lake? I'll be looking through the CK myself, but seeing as I can't atm I was hoping to get some general area ideas from you guys. I'll be making a player home, and I wanted a nice area for it that won't be cold for FROSTFALL users, will be near water for any NEEDS mods, and looks nice because I like nice.

  12. I recently created a player home mod, with a custom interior cell. For some reason followers don't follow you into the cell. After making a fast travel option, I think I could hear Dogmeat pant and then whimper, like he spawned outside of the actual structure and fell down until he got hurt, but I wasn't able to replicate it. I've checked it over, many times, with other interior player home cells, like Home Plate, but I can't see the issue. I'm inexperienced as a modder, so I figure I missed some small detail or maybe clicked a wrong button. If you need any more information, just ask.   13. Completely. They just don't appear in the cell for some reason.
  14. So I'm creating a mod with a new vault player home, but for some reason it won't work with followers. They just vanish as soon as you enter the cell. Anyone have an idea what could cause this?
  15. I don't actually much use settlement mods, but use the CK to make my own areas, homes and that kind of stuff. Thank you for more links, I'll browse them tonight when I get time.

  17. Anyone know of a mod that allows you to, in crafting, change a weapon's color, add decals, maybe some texture changes? Something like what you can do with power armor materials, just without the bonuses.
  18. Does anyone know of a mod that makes hunting more expansive, with options to use hides for armor, or maybe hunting down some unique monsters or legendary beasties? I love mods that make the simple systems like hunting into something bigger, so anything that expands on low detail systems would be good.
  19. Added the Bathroom and Expansion Rooms. An enemy spawner is beyond me, I'm amateur at best. Solid idea though.
  20. I mostly just do personal fixes and changes but I want to make a serious, lore friendly collector's home. This post is to gather ideas from the community and see if there's solid interest. So far I have a structure made from mournhold architecture, as I like the colors and I think it'll work with the Nerevar tie-in I'll be doing. I'll be making a living area, with kitchen, dining, sleeping and relaxing, along with alchemy and enchanting, if I can figure out how to enchant without a merchant. I'll have a collector's area, which will be massive. Faction items, unique armor and weapons, book collection, and anything else I think of. Give me ideas if you have them and I'll try to keep this as updated as possible.   21. I skimmed and commented. Very interested in testing but I just got off work, have a child and want to sleep a little before my wife has to leave for work. f*#@ being an adult. Will test asap
  22. Maybe explain things though. People complain about long winded, but when your a virgin, knowing which hole to stick it in is very important. As a newbzor modder, it would be great if guides didn't just say what to do, but explained it so we could learn, not just repeat.
  23. So I skimmed, and it seems pretty informative. I don't have time atm to test it, but I'll try it out sometime later tonight if I can. From a totally-scared-new modders perspective, it looks helpful.
  24. That's a lot of words I don't know. I'm an amateur modder, reskins and geck building mostly, so if you have any tutorials that could help me learn the nessacary knowledge to be knowledged on this, that'd be wonderful.
  25. I've made myself an island cove for a new settlement but I can't figure out how to make the settlement build zone. I went to other settlements and found the workshops and borders but how do I create my own? Has anyone figured this out yet? I know it has to be possible.
