Completely IP banned from the forums because I made one comment about piracy, no warnings, no messages, just direct, silent and mercyless ban. Does yours expire in January of 4747 too? it simply says #1000 you're not allowed to visit this board. -
this is a serios problem how i solved: - I changed the 'ogg files to be played by windows media player - I applied the silent hill homecoming v10 fix patch that oddly enough I cannot find anywhere anymore...

Does anyone know how to make people not hate me?
JCHR replied to VergilPrime's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
it's a trap, they take your guns away and then they turn on you to loot your empty? corpse afterwards -

happens to me when I enter the primm's populated casino with ED-E, nobody is hostile to me but the people inside will start attacking ED-E with no reason, killing it...

So I'm looking forward to make a mod that involves criticals and suchlike things. Does crit damage gets affected by damage increasing effects such as perks? I've calculated the maximum multiplier you can get with criticals with a melee weapon let's say a weapon does 30 critical damage then, AFAIK, 30dmg+sneak attack critical (*2) = 60 damage then better criticals perk = 30*1.5 = 45 then apply sneak attack = 90 damage then with ninja it's *2.5 sneak critical so 45*2.5 = 112.5 then with stealth girl it's 2.5*10% = 2.75 of sneak critical multiplier, then overall it's 45*2.75 = 123.75 am I missing anything? if damage increase effects does apply on critical damage, then this will be obsolete.

5 Giant radscorpions i mean, WAHT THE f***? tgm and when I killed them got a bugsomething perk, but if it wasn't of tgm I'd be dead long ago. -
at first all audio was messed up, NPCs wouldn't talk at all, the opening scene won't go on and dialogue had no sound. I casually encountered a silent hill homecoming fix patch that completely fixed that audio problem for me, no more problems whatsover.

but how do you get your character preset from a savedata? or from GECK?

Uber fast gun reloads after switching weapon.
JCHR replied to Andayle's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
in the GECK, gameplay - settings, there is a fAgilityReloadBase and fAgilityReloadModifier the Base is 5.000000 and the modifier is 0.10000 not too clear what it means but can have a tiny idea. Agility DOES affect to reload. EDIT: you can play with it, just open the console and type "setgs fAgilityReloadBase #" without quotes where~# is a number, try setting it very low and very high and try to relaod and see what happens. Do the same with fAgilityReloadModifier Moar info: the fallout3.esm file does not include these 2 game settings -
lol yes I had a problem when I wanted to use the GECk without placin it in the new vegas folder. so overall: - FO3 GECK in Fallout3 folder - NV GECK in NV folder when you try to open a file directly by double clicking, it will open with the FO3 GECK since it's the one that gets "installed" whilst the NV geck is one that you copy the files directly to the folder. so when you try to open a new vegas mod by double clicking, you get a strange file with nothin inside. just pointing out.

I'm modding the game playing hardcore (don't kill me!) and I must say it makes hardcore more ENJOYABLE to play rather than going vanilla hardcore, which is very painful.

Hair friendly berets and hats?
JCHR replied to CrestAntares's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I remember in FO3 the only hat that actually respected hairstyles was the enclave officer hat... all others would make the character be bald. -
Good idea. Shouldn't be too difficult to do tough.

SPOILER! What I found really strange is that north = giant radscorpions+supermutants/nightstalkers+deathclaws+all kind of impossible mobs for a low level character and then south = joke "convicts" that dies to 1 9mm pistol shot sneak critical -
I don't have a clue, I just ordered "collector's edition" DVD, maybe it won't have anything special...

have I missed a lot of fun in game if this is all I did?
JCHR replied to peteed1985's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
this was me, on the very first playthrough I did. but then at my current playthrough, I decided to avoid the quest marker and go wherever I wanted to. I discovered so many places, I have already 100 on every single skill and am lvl 30 without even completing broken steel quest not enough with that, I completed all 5 DLCs AFTER reaching lvl 30, and THEN, I downloaded a whole bunch of mods and enhanced my game experience even more and it all sumed up to 50 hours of gameplay, and in my current state, I'm still discovering new places I've never heard of (imagine I didn't even know about the arlington cementery zone in my first playthrough) -
Speaking of which... is it really a hell of complicated to make animations with GECK?
-
Yes, I remeber I quit the game for like 1 year when I was on my way to finish Mothership Zeta, I haven't even completed it when I quitted fallout 3 just because I felt like "everything was over" Now in this new playthrough, I saved most of the good things for the end (namely broken steel and most fo the quests) and finished mothership zeta earlier, I must say, tough, I didn't enjoy MZ as much as I did enjoy O:A even tough both setups are similar... must be because O:A offered a more FPS experience... In order to keep the game going on, I find myself most of the time just exploring and clearing up random places on the world map, I discovered with the current playthrough a lot more than the 3 earlier playthroughs that I quitted half-done (I have around 50 hours of gameplay on this one, and I never got more than 20 before)
