OK i see a problem

OK my game was crashing constantly, an i was standing there trying to figure out why. Why is it consistently crashing.

Well apparently i just said screw it an uninstalled all my mods. Then checked out the folder. There is remaining folders

in the Game folder of the mods i was installing. So i think something broke or you have to uninstall Vortex completely

before installing a new version. I don't know. But the mods are still in there. An that's causing the crash. Can you fix

No Idea what game you're playing, because you didn't mention it, so it would be hard to fix it without knowing.

 

But anyway...

Look inside the folders that vortex left behind, is the only thing left in those folders a file named "_folder_managed_by_vortex" ?

 

Because that can't cause crashes

 

How did you uninstall the mods?

Did you PURGE then uninstall?

 

Also, what DEPLOYMENT method are you using?

 

Got to SETTINGS---->MODS and look at what your deployment method is set to

if you are conflating the fact that you see a message about folders called _managed_by_vortex with your game crashing, I'll ask you this;

how can an empty folder that contains nothing and serves simply as a flag cause a crash?

if you want to remove those folders, there is a setting in vortex under settings/workarounds called clean up empty directories during deployment, which should clean them out.

as to the "bug" you've seen, going on the verbiage in your post, there's nothing helpful there at all, but you can report this "bug" by clicking the three vertical dots, top right by your user name, and send in various diagnostics to the developers.

 

by the way, as HTR indicated, the game you're modding and the mods you've installed would be more than helpful here, saves people guessing.
