EXTREMELY frustrated....

Hello there,

There is a lot of steam built up because I just don't understand why I have to take technical lessons just to use a manager downloader. I'm very very stupid and need hand held on how to do this. I don't need x+Y =z** type information, then have to learn what that even freaking means.

From what I understand, I have to go into Skyrim V SE, click the ~ to open the console (which took me hours research) Now I do WHAT?? now I type exactly WHAT??

I added an empty file folder to my D:/SKGameMod

I've read and read for hours upon hours till my eyes are freaking bleeding and brain is on overload meltdown. What I've typed above is what I have learned lol

Please if someone could take the time and just give me the syntax necessary to do what vortex wants me to do: Go to settings-mods (that took me hours upon hours to learn it was in game and it has to do with console) and set the staging folder to be on the same drive as the game (D:\).

I sort of understand why I can't just move the freaking files to where I want them from C: to D:

Why does this have to be so difficult and involved? I'm here to play a 15 year old game not to go back to school!! (Rhetorical question)

So please someone help me.

i literally have no idea what this post is about.

if you have a problem with vortex (which doesn't require you to open the console in any game at all), then can you say what your problem is?

if you're trying to do something in game that requires console manipulation then two things;

1. you've almost certainly broken your game

2. it may be a specific mod requirement which is nothing to do with vortex, so you're better off asking on that mod's pages.

Guess I'm more confused than what I originally thought.

My PROBLEM is with Vortex, first time setup.

Vortex states: "Go to settings-mods and set the staging folder to be on the same drive as the game (D:\)".

I have read and read and read on how to do what vortex wants me to do. But I still don't have a clue.

So where am I to access the settings-mods to set the staging folder to be on the same drive as the game?

ok so I am in the wrong spot to ask these questions? I am NOT under Vortex Support header?

don't panic.

don't get stressed.

relax.

watch this. then watch it again. then watch it a third time.

then watch it one more time.

this is a great series. they're not too long, they're not too complex.

you can also go to gamerpoets - that guy is beyond compare. his series of videos are short, funny, on point and completely relevant.

the important thing here - do not get stressed.

https://www.youtube.com/user/gamerpoets

take some time, watch those channels, get a "feel" for what you're trying to do by watching and listening to what those guys are telling you.

Hello there,

I would like to say thank you thank you thank you for your replies! After finished e cry, the stress level is under control. Your posts have helped me greatly. I have another question if I can pick your minds please?

My monitor is 5120x1440 which stretches the graphics and just very poor everything. lol Naturally Skyrim doesn't even know what a 5120x1440 is. Is there a way to clean the resolution up so that it stops stretching the graphics? but still gives me a full screen or do I need to find a much lower screen resolution such as; 2560x1440 or something like tha?

I did change the tests to 100% through win 10 graphic display, it helped but the game graphics are still stretched.

Again, thank you so much for all of the assistance.

T

As soon as I can find the screenshot, will attach it . lol

Do a google search for 5120 x 1440

I came up with two things right here on the Nexus

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15268

In my "SkyrimSEPrefs.ini"

bTopMostWindow=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=0
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1440
iSize W=5120
And in "SkyrimSE.ini" there is settings for FOV:
fDefaultWorldFOV=90
fDefault1stPersonFOV=90
Adjust the value for FOV until satisfied.
You need BOTH the mod and those settings
