Skyrim Special Edition Mod Install

So i tried to install a few Skyrim Mods with the Vortex installer but although vortex gave me a message that the mods were installed properly nothing changed ingame.

 

It seems it din't put the files into the directory they needed to be, so i did it manually but still nothing has changed ingame.

 

A Clue what i have to change?

 

My file directory looks like this :

WHy are you manually putting your mods in the data folder?

Did you DEPLOY the mods after you

INSTALLED, then ENABLED the mods?

Or did you just start manually moving stuff around?

Those Folders should be in your Mod Staging Folder, NOT in your Game Data Folder.
Are those what you manually moved?

All you had to do was move your mod staging folder to the same drive as your game (USING VORTEX), and select HARDLINK as the deployment method.
However, I'm not sure if what you did messed up the links now

it reads to me like you're a new vortex user, or new to modding?

if that's the case, then search this forum for links to you tube channels called gophergaming and gamerpoets and watch their series' on vortex.

the videos aren't long and they are right on point.

you will benefit from doing this, rather than simply destroying your game by manually copying files and folders all over the place, outside of your mod manager.

i deployed and enabled the mods after i installed them

but vortex did not move any file into the game folder and i don't know why

i cannot chose any Link method in Vortex. where there should be a deployment method is just nothing

 

after that i moved them manually but even when that should crash the game. No harms done because its a fresh installation.

 

i watched a few videos how to install and manage the mods. it didn't work.

 

but i will show you my step by step approach if needed.

i found the problem.

i had two versions of skyrim installed and the special edition is on another Harddrive. So i let vortex change the directory and reinstalled the newer game to have clean files and i think i am good to go.
