Mckrty
DarnUI all FO mod versionI can't activate it with NMM, when I try to and get to the overwriting ini part I get a confirm overwrite dialog box with .Net Framework security warning: (I'm typing the text as I'm not sure it is readable in the pic.) "Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission, contact your system administrator, or use the Microsoft .Net Framework Configuration tool.""If you continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately."Neither option works and NMM stops responding so I have to kill it in the task manager. From my research i'm not even sure that tool is an option anymore (Using Win7 64) , I'm unfamilliar with it too. This is the first time I have used NMM as my FO3 mod manager, now I can see why many prefer to stick with Fomm. I never had this problem Installing DarnUI before when using Fomm. So I'm not sure if this is (a) A NMM bug, (b) A .Net Framework security change due to a winupdate patch since the last time I did a fresh install of darnUI. If anyone can offer a solution to this problem ....you'd be the cool guy or gal
M48A5
The problem you are having is trying to install a mod with NMM that requires FOMM for the installation. You also have the same problem with FWE. It is not installed properly. You should not see Part 2 of FWE since with proper installation it overwrites the main file. This is also true of the hot fix. If you insist o using NMM as your mod manager, you will have to manually install any mod that requires FOMM for installation.
blove
In the beginning it did not work, then it did work, and now it does not work again with NMM. Apparently categories are a much higher priority than OMOD scripting. You should use FOMM for Fallout 3.
BenWah
Here are the exact instructions for installing DarnUI with NMM and FOMM, taken from the guide I wrote linked in my sig.Um, you should check that out. Note that I have you using a different file for NMM -- if you try the FOMOD with NMM it's going to blow up and fail as you saw.I have done this myself with NMM and promise you it works. Darnified UI-- smaller HUD elements for a cleaner, less obstructed view.FOMM ONLY (easier) http://ui.darnified.net/wip/F3/dui_f3a11.zipNMM ONLY http://ui.darnified.net/wip/F3/dui_f3a11.7zBOTH also need this hotfix: http://ui.darnified.net/wip/F3/dui_f3a11_HF.7zONLY IF USING NMM: Modify Font section of Fallout.INI as shown in the PDF doc.Install order is critical for UI Mods!If using FWE(Fallout Wanderers Edition), activate DarnUI support for FWE right after DarnUI.If using "Immersive Hud" mod, activate it next.If using "Better High Detail Maps" mod, activate it anytime after DarnUI.I use all of these together and it's great! Add Faster Pipboy & Smoothlight mods too. OK if you're using NMM, here's the font section of the fallout.ini(FOMM does this for you but NMM you gotta do it yourself) [Fonts];sFontFile_1=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_1=Textures\Fonts\DarN_FranKleinBold_14.fnt;sFontFile_2=Textures\Fonts\Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_2=Textures\Fonts\DarN_FranKleinBold_16.fntsFontFile_3=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Medium.fnt;sFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\Monofonto_VeryLarge02_Dialogs2.fnt;sFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\DarN_FranKleinBold_Otl_12.fntsFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_10.fntsFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\Fixedsys_Comp_uniform_width.fnt;sFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_VL_dialogs.fnt;sFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\DarN_PetitaMedium_Outline_18.fnt;sFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Forgotten_Futurist_Otl_18.fntsFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_13.fnt;sFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\Baked-in_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Libel_Suit_Otl_24.fnt;sFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Klill_Outline_20.fntsFontFile_8=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Futura_Caps_Large.fnt Edited June 7, 2013 by BenWah

Nah that's not true, I used tons of mods and the only two I can think of that break with NMM are FWE and Darnui. In the case of FWE, the fix is trivial, just turn the 3 downloads into a single archive and NMM installs it fine. Just have to be careful with overwriting order.
