  1. Thank u for your reply qwertyzeldar, Ah, for the good old days of phone game support. When game co. still cared about answering basic questions about their products.
  2. Heya all n any, So, have been playing fallout 4 since release day, i use NMM. I would like to hear from people who have taken the same path as me, that is:retail DVD Base game + NMM+ at least 40 something mods installed and now retail G.O.T.Y. DVD; is there any reason to disable or uninstall mods before attempting to install G.O.T.Y. on scream? (oh yea, I'm trying to re-brand them.) I'm kinda expecting that the process will just add the dlc (that is not yet part of my game) instead of overwriting everything in the existing install???
  3. Why are all the nexus download sites (every site except the Forum) no longer secure? I noticed this last week, instead of the URL field for any game download site has no green shield or https://  When I try to login the pw field warns that if I complete the login my pwrd will be visable
  4. Thanks for the thorough explanation, PoliteRaider, you too Giggles
  5. Hmm, I thought the only reward(s) that mod creators get is intangible (other than contributions from those of us that like to show appreciation with donations.) But if there is no profit motive and no copyright law broken, wtf? Btw I'm still looking for an answer to my first question: Does anyone know what the status of Modern Firearms (Gunsmith Edition) is, as far as the availability on the Nexus is concerned?
  6. Anyone know what the latest news on M.F. (G.E.) is. I notice there are mods for that mod up on the Nexus but M.F. (G.E.) itself is still not available for download. Hmm never fails when someone does a nice gun mod for a fallout game always seems to get yanked from Nexus. You would think that Bethesda by now (after 3 games ) would have picked up on the fact that weapon models that are based on actual Firearms are wildly popular, and taken action accordingly to please the players (maybe a weapons pack or something?) This is like a replay of what happened to Earache 42 with his great FO3,NV weapon mods. I will admit for someone that is not a mod maker, I'm somewhat ignorant on exactly what the issue is about where the images used for the mods comes from. It would seem to me that if someone wanted to make a weapon mod and needed images they could contact the manufacturers and get permission for use ( wouldn't this be great free publicity?)
  7. This one goes out to those of you that have presented such impressive firearm mods (M4A1 w..., Modern Firearms G.E.) and anyone else that has proven capable. Suggestions: Knights Armament SR 25, Fabarm STF 12 (11-20" barrel), FN P90 and FN Five-seveN. http://www.fnherstal.com/primary-menu/home.html http://www.fabarm.com/
  8. I only recently started using M.O. ; my os is Win 7. I have had the same problem from the start after installing M.O. ( Download with manager no workie) and just solved it (same fix as you mentioned) with some help from some of the guys over at http://forum.step-project.com/forum/98-mod-organizer-with-step/. Hope this answers your question.
  9. Okay, I'm replying to my own post (no one else has even looked.) If anyone else running a similar combo of mods runs into the same problem the way I fixed my issue was to disable or rermove WOP and any patches for it. It appears to be the cause of the problem I have been having. There are so manny compatibility patches I'm not even sure which ones are valid or what the correct order they should load in (not enough documentation.) To bad, I really did like WOP

Windows 7 (6.1) Home Premium Edition (64 bit) Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) DirectX Version 11.0 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8800 @ 2.66GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1024 MB System RAM 4 GB Problem: FONV (UED) Crashes only (and imeadiatly) when combat occurs . I've had one other unusual incedent: First time I visited the strip (for one of the Bison steve quests) I gave all my weapons (except one pistol whitch I snuck in) and ammo to ED E to hold and had all companions to wait out front of Gommorah. When I returned and tried to retrive my items from ED E all the items had vanished. I deleted that save and started over from an erlier one, also tried running with a merged patch after the combat\crash incedent (makes no difference.) 12. Thanks for you'r response camaro Yea, I know this topic is rather dated but I just recently started playing FONV again after aquiring a new copy of the Ultimate edition. I have stutter remover installed but I was not aware of the "Fast Exit" setting, how do I enable this ? As far as the 4gb of actual system memory, I would like to double up on that but in my research on the capabillity on this MB I have not found a cocncrete answer as to wether or not it can be upgraded. Official word on this is that the board can only support 2 2x2s altough I have read posts that say they can be swaped out for 4x2s, Btw this is a Asus G60Vx RBBX05 in case you are curious. I'm a bit leary about droping ~$200 on a 4x2 kit if I don't know for a fact they will fuction on this board. One more question, I have seen many of Gophers' vid's on improving performance and decided to give FFNV a try. Turned out to be a bad choice so I removed the short cut and the files from the FONV game folder but im not sure if FakeFullscreen makes any changes to any of the .inis that need to be edited on removal, do you know?
  13. Has anyone had this problem with fnv4gb_nvse: I have tried using it with with just the short cut to the fnv4gb.exe and the folder and all files located on my C:\ drive. I have also tried using it with fnv4gb.exe and fnv4gb_helper.dll in my game folder. I don't have a problem starting FONV in either case but the game locks up when I quit and will not return to the windows desk top unless I use task manager and kill the fnv4gb.exe process. Does anyone know what the fix is for this (if one exists.) FONV Ultimate ED. Windows 7 (6.1) Home Premium Edition (64 bit) Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) DirectX Version 11.0 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8800 @ 2.66GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1024 MB System RAM 4 GB
  14. I all ready had nvse_2_beta12 installed before I installed fnv4gb_nvse and it worked for me but I've run into some weirdness: The game has (at least once) locked up on start screen (continue, load, etc.) and several times on save, quit (had to use task manager and kill process.) Any ides as to what might be the cause of this? One caveat: I have seen many other posts regarding the 4gb.exe stating that the steamappsID must be 2028016 (for the ultimate ed.) and if it is not then it will not work, but mine is 22380, which I belive is original ver. (I upgraded to FONVED) and the ID never changed. But like I said, other than the above mentioned occaisional weirdness it works.
  15. When restoring FONV from Steam does steam just restore FONV as a clean copy of the game? In other words does it save anything pertaining to mods or NMM (I would assume that stuff is all local?)
